I've used this storage unit since late 2020 after covid and I just left recently. It's been an amazing experience and the cleanest storage I've seen. Chris, who manages the place, does an amazing job keeping it clean and is what makes this place unique. His customer service is the best and I can recommend specifically him enough. Also, just to tell you how clean it is, I accidentally realized that I had some dry food items in storage and for 6 months nothing happened! Super clean place and you can't go wrong. read more

I had my items stored at this facility for 1 and a half years. I can understand that some people have frustrations with corporate raising prices on units, but I do not think its fair to ignore the fact that Chris and the employees here keep the place very clean and tidy and are always very friendly and helpful. Easy to access, close to a major freeway and with the app it makes getting in and out of the place super easy. read more

We noticed some customers complained about the price increases, or they called price-gouging, and this happened to us. However, we would like to differentiate corporate pricing policy and manipulation from the service we received from Chris, who has always been kind, friendly and courteous to us. Chris even helped us within his ability to give discounts or other options when we encountered the high price increases. Thank you Chris for working with me and my father who rely on this exceptionally clean and safe storage space to store his art and appreciate your efforts to try to bring down the price as much as you are allowed. Moreover, because your location is extremely convenient for us, you will be the first to contact in case we need storage again. Thank you Chris! read more

So, just received an email from Public Storage that my 10x10 unit, which I pay $263 a month for is going up $80 a month. Unbelievable! No explanation. No reason. Just pay or leave. That from the corporate number. Chris wasn't in the office when I went by today to talk to him about this - even though today is one of the open office days. Sad. Really sad. Price gouging. And this place has no air conditioning and a funky elevator. I'll go elsewhere. read more

If there was a way to give this a minus 10 stars I would. DON'T BE FOOLED by their promotion rates. In one year they have raised my rate twice and it is now DOUBLE the $$$$ I started with just a year ago. They send you a notice 30 days prior that they will be raising your rate $150 and of course now you are stuck with your stuff in the storage and have to rent a truck and find the time to move your things so they bet on your being stuck and paying. What a bad company! read more

On top of some employees fussing with your stuff, l had left my things in storage in a very particular order that l remember and lm aware of how l left it arranged, when l got back to check it it was not in that same way l left it there, they also too send you to some debt collections agency if you don't pay their cancellation fee on top of having already paid for storage read more

- no people in office on " office hours" , not updated " unavailable hours due to short staff" even though only open five days a week , vs other locations open daily - elevator not working ( more than 5 days in a row!) read more

excellent service and great location l like it and easy access to use, price also good

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A STORAGE UNIT, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. This review is for Chris, the site manager. If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would! I have used multiple storage sites over the years, and Chris- BY FAR has to be the most helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and friendliest manager I've met. The site is very well kept. It was one was the tidiest storage spaces I've used, and every time you visit, Chris makes sure that your experience is smooth and easy. He goes out of his way to make sure that you are well taken care of and is also very fun to talk to! The location of the storage site is also great! There is a gas station right across the street, has multiple restaurants within less than a minute of walking distance, plenty of parking spots, and is nearby major freeways exits. I also loved that you always feel safe and secure at this location. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend. Thanks for all your help Chris! You're the best! read more

What a great storage place. Clean, organized and easy accessible. Kudos to Chris, who was so helpful and accommodating. Excellent customer service! Highly recommend this place. read more

I chose this place for storage as it was very close to where I live and had seen good reviews also for it. And I wasn't disappointed at all. The manager at the location Bill was very helpful and understanding. I had a storage pod which needed to kept overnight to unload my stuff and he readily agreed to allow the pod to be at their place for a night while we unloaded. Also Bill got the pod unloaded from the truck while I wasn't able to reach in time and I really appreciated his help with that. Also the storage unit was clean and well maintained. It's not temperature controlled if that's what ur looking for but for keep regular stuff it's perfectly fine. I definitely would recommend this place. read more

Another huge shout out to Public Storage in Foster City. These guys offer the best customer service around. This time it was Andy who saved the day for me. I put items into my unit, closed up, and left my computer behind! Never noticed. I got a call about an hour after I left from Andy saying he found it and was holding it in a safe place for me. That could've been a disaster. Great detective work Andy and awesome customer service. I can't thank him enough!! Kudos Andy!!! read more

Now under new management, Chris has totally turned this place around. He is helpful, courteous, remembers customers' names and always lends a hand. The facility is immaculate! He is always hard at work maintaining the facility in tip top shape. I highly recommend this location for your storage needs! read more

Best service ever! I don't usually write reviews but Chris went out of his was to accommodate my needs. He was very thoughtful and really just a wonderful manager that makes you happy to rent from this location. It's a very convenient and is close by to the freeway and has food in the same center. It's truly a perfect spot that isn't away from everything. read more

The facility is really convenient and very well maintained. Chris, the property manager, is outstanding. Every time I visit, he is helpful and attentive. I am very pleased with how well the property is maintained. This is a direct reflection of his professional service and dedication. Chris makes this Public Storage location a top facility IMO. It would be nice if the double doors had a door stop to make it a bit easier to go in and out with carts. read more

First time using a storage facility. Public Storage has great customer service. Chris was super helpful throughout. Clean storage space.

Chris who works here is by far the most professional and the kindest storage personnel I'd ever come across in my 7 plus years of storage experience. I had never left a review for a storage facility but felt called to do so as I think everyone should know how amazing Chris is. He's the reason why I've chosen to store my items here. read more

I chose this facility based on the price ($94/month). Six month later, they raised the price by 23% (!) (to $116/month). Two stars instead of one because the rest of experience has been satisfactory. But at $116/month I'd have chosen a different place (newer facility, inside unit, closer to home). read more

Getting my storage unit was easy with the online app. The onsite person was very helpful and my storage unit is great! The price is right as well! Very pleased. read more

My wife and I came to Foster City's Public Storage from the midwest to clear out some things that our family left behind. Chris was working at the facility and provided great help. He was attentive to our move-out situation and provided helpful information for garbage disposal--things we wouldn't have known since we've never lived here. The entire move-out process was very smooth. The facility was kept in pristine condition. read more

I just moved all my things out of Public Storage and into a PODS container to be moved out of state. Chris was amazing and so extremely helpful from the beginning (trying to figure out what my needs were) to help me in reference to the POD container. Thank you Chris! read more

Chris is the best! I highly recommend doing business for storage needs with this company. He went over and beyond: From making sure my Unit was secure to really helping out with packaging! Door to door service, getting my boxes to my home when they didn't fit in my car! If I ever need storage again....this is the location for me!!! I highly recommend this location! read more

I chose this storage location in part because of the highly positive Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed. While I reserved the unit online and am used to not getting much in-person customer service when making arrangements online, Bill was super friendly and attentive in confirming my reservation by phone and email and suggesting the best time (less busy) to hand over the keys. Margaret was helpful as well when I arrived to pick up keys. Bill was also my contact when I came in to make my first rent payment. I do like the location a lot too. Centrally located in Foster City but the entrance is behind Taco Bell and near McDonald's so it has visibility and it feels super safe unlike more isolated storage unit places. The only thing II would change is I wish I could have used cheaper online coupons before I reserved. I got a good deal but not the best so search around. One way to get coupons is read the welcome packet that you get when you change address at the local post office. read more

Chris, the manager for this location, is amazing! He was great at helping me get set up without contact (since we're in a pandemic). He was always very responsive and helped me find a cart when there wasn't one by the elevator. He was always very friendly and waved hello when I arrived and when I left. The facility itself was well-maintained. No issues with security, pests or anything else. read more

I reserved a unit online. Bill gave me a call almost immediately to confirm when I was going to take possession and to ensure he was available to show me the unit when I arrived. He followed up with a courtesy call reminder the day before my appointment and very clearly gave me directions on how to find the location. Thank goodness he gave me directions. It is slightly tricky to get there since it looks like you're turning into a fast food restaurant, but his directions were spot on. Bill was very friendly and extremely helpful in all aspects of renting the unit and helping me pick out some of the things I would need for my move. He was very easy to get along with and definitely helpful. read more

The facilities are fine and the location is convenient. Especially if you are coming from either side of the bay since they are right off of 92. The reason for the low stars is because Public Storage as a company is a rip off! They continually raise their rates, sometimes in 9 month increments! I looked around and found many options that are cheaper and moved out. Also, the on-site manager is extremely dour! If you are looking for storage, look elsewhere unless you want to pay ever increasing rates! read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I booked a unit in May of 2020 and I have a confirmation for it at $65/ month. I didn't notice for months because of autopay, but they charged me $1 for the first month and $65 for the month after as agreed upon when I booked. After that, my card has been charged $165 every single month after. I tried calling over and over but no one was available all of last year. I have followed up repeatedly this year as well and sent many emails to various addresses that were provided by whoever was onsite at the time. I sent in my confirmation email stating that I was supposed to be charged $65 and no one has gotten back to me with the exception of the manager onsite who can't figure out how to fix it. I have been given every excuse from "prices can go up at any time, it's in your contract" to "maybe you booked a unit bigger than the one you initially signed up for" but in any case, nothing has been resolved a year and a half into being overcharged. My only option is to fly back to California and get someone to unload everything so I can donate it. The lack of communication after my 500 attempts to get this resolved is almost impressive. read more

Chris was very helpful and made everything easy. Would recommend this site to anyone looking for storage
