I rented a unit at Security Public in Redwood City from March 2023 to September 2025, and the move-out process was a nightmare. Twice I was locked out with a red lock even during office hours, with no staff available for nearly an hour. On top of that, they refused to provide a simple prorated refund after charging me extra days -- terrible customer service and policies. After 30 months @ $400/month awful customer treatment. read more

Talk about easy! Everyone here has been nothing but helpful and friendly. Moved in for 6 months and couldn't be happier. Great location and hours! read more

I chose this storage facility because of the wonderful reviews. I had been talking to Steve the manager, and he had been super kind to even agree to let fedex sent my 7 boxes which somehow were sent back to Atlanta. Let's just say Fedex screwed up big time. They supposed to deliver all my boxes but claimed the recipient (me ie) refused the delivery so they would all return back to sender (me) in Atlanta. The fact was they did not even attempt to deliver those boxes. After dozens of phone calls, most were intercepted from leaving CA. However 7 boxes left and are now back in Georgia. Fedex said they would route them back next week. Great!! I would be in Singapore by then. In the end, my niece's friend is going to help receiving these 7 boxes next week. Glad I don't have to trouble the staffs at Security Public Storage. I rented a 5' by 5'. The entire storage looked clean. Granted I have nothing valuable to steal in the storage unit, still I do not want anyone to break in and steal some childhood keepsakes. If I have to complain one thing, that would be the elevator. It was moving so slowly this afternoon. Met Linda today too. Super sweet lady. Everything was done in e-sign. Glad I have found this place :) 09.22.2022 read more

Joseph was awesome! Highly recommend for a smooth experience. Quick and very helpful!

Manager Art D. was very professional & took the time to appraise me of all my options & discounts. His suggestions were spot on. I look forward to working with him in the future! read more

Thanks Art! Made the process for getting a storage unit simple and at a low cost compared to the nearby storage units in my area. But, there is a but! This place is hella more secure with your unit having security alarm in case an intruder comes in and tries to open your unit! Never heard of a neat feature that it comes with! It alerts the workers that a break in is going on and will immediate ask them for ID to make sure it's not a thief. Sick! Showed him the discounted price I was offered online and he matched it even though it said online only! Art was down to earth and would recommend for you all to ask for him if y'all see him around. read more

There are two people I want to give an extra big shoutout to. Firstly, I want to shout out Darrick Y for promptly helping me gwt my storage arrangement figured out with kindess and care. Secondly, I want to shoutout Dylan M for staying late to get me situated in my unit. The level of professionism showed by these men was far beyond anything I would expect from an online booking. The staff at Security Public Storage Redwood are phenomenal and are a breath of fresh air in frantic moving times. read more

I was given a tour of the RWC location and I was very impressed with your outstanding staff member Linda. She explained everything and informed me with all I need to know, plus showed the different sizes of storage units that can be rented. Linda pointed out some incentives if I was to contract with SPS. One of the most important details of your business is customer service and establishing rapport with interested folks. Linda seems most capable to seal the deal and her friendliness made my tour experience enjoyable. It is likely that I will obtain a storage unit at SPS and there is no need to research further. Thanks so much, Linda! I highly recommend. read more

My daughter has a storage locker here and all the times that I have had interactions with the manager, Steve, he has always been pleasant, accommodating, personable and very easy to work with. It is a gated and coded facility in a very secure area. There is a donation box if you have gently used or new clothing items you no longer need. There is plenty of space for a moving truck or van to park. Possibly, if you need to store your vehicle here, please inquire within. I would highly recommend this facility. Thank you, Steve for all of your impeccable assistance! read more

The folks here are very friendly and trustworthy. I came here to open an unit for storage. The price is fairly competitive. I did my due diligence and called several places, and decided to go with Security Public Storage. They even lend you a moving truck for free! read more

Hi, my dad has been a customer for 2 years at unit 466. Lately we've been struggling with rent and money because Covid-19. But before that we were struggling with payments before. Those precious items in that unit kept going, they are kind people and understanding. They let us slide and pay little by little while we could. Because that's the type of people they are. You never see that service from a storage company. And now we are getting stable, we got stuff out of unit because we have more space now, but I recommend this place 10 Stars!!! read more

Steve was great. Very helpful with sign up. The facility seems really secure, with individual alarms on the units. Also, the insurance is included in the price quote so even though it seems a bit more expensive, it's actually just a more upfront way of quoting, so you get less surprises later. read more

Excellent service from Steve and Osagie. Location is very clean, quiet, and secure. They take Covid precautions very seriously - Steve disinfected buttons, elevators, and carts between every use - totally amazing. Masks are required at the location. Highly recommended! read more

Unbelievable customer service. Just horrible. Taking advantage of an 85 year old woman who is stuck out of state because of the Corona virus . All they needed to do was call yesterday to remind her. Instead they called today to remind her and charge her a late fee. Also told her had she called yesterday she wouldn't have been charged! She was one of their very first customers 20+ years Terrible!!!!! It's not the money, she pays a ridiculous amount it's the principal. read more

I needed to store a family member's belongings during the pandemic while they were furloughed and moving across the country. I've been storing my things here for almost two years. I keep trying to downsize, then find another reason to keep my space. It's been a fun ride, working with the manager, Steve, at this location. He always has a very positive "can-do" attitude no matter how many times I've told him, I'll be moving out or downgrading or passing on my space to a friend and/or anything else. I'm not a huge fan of their rates, but they are competitive to other rates in the Bay Area, and all of my things have been perfectly safe while I've been storing here. I would definitely recommend this facility to a friend. ;) read more
