I have used Statewide Moving a number of times. I have always found them to be professional, efficient and very hard working. I am always amazed at how quickly and smoothly they are able to handle the job. They are now my 'go to' movers no matter what size the move is. read more

I purchased a baby grand piano and had Statewide move it up to my fifth floor apartment! Kieran was calm, capable, and friendly at a stressful time for me. No nonsense! He and his team were skilled professionals that I would feel happy to recommend to others. Also, the cost was less than I was quoted from other moving companies! read more

We had a great experience with Denis, Kieran and the Statewide Moving team. They were professional, communicative, easy to work with and did a fantastic job. Would happily use them again or recommend to a friend! read more

Statewide did a great job for us. We moved from a 3200 sq ft to a 2500 sq ft house. We talked to Denis at Statewide and sent pictures of the house contents for his estimate. His quote was higher than others but he said he would use 2 trucks and 5 movers. His quote included travel time and cost. He recommended to ask for a 'not to exceed' price with the mover we chose. Denis was very open and honest in his assessment of our move. As well as a not to exceed price he also said he would charge less if it turned out to not be such a big job. We decided to go with Statewide mainly because of our conversations with Denis and because he said it would need 2 trucks. We suspected that and none of the other movers we contacted said this. Denis also said he would like to load on one day and deliver the next. Denis's team showed up on time and worked non stop loading not 2 but 3 trucks. They had a third truck brought over when they saw in person how much stuff we had. They were extremely respectful and careful with our stuff. We had told Denis everything would be boxed except a couple of mirrors and TVs. In reality it is very difficult to pack everything. Denis's team did not complain and just packed the last things into boxes themselves. Our old house has pretty easy access with double doors and fairly wide stairs. The new house has a sloping drive down to the front door, single doors and narrow stairs. The movers put everything into the rooms we asked them to which included some very tight squeezes. There was only one item, a large metal cabinet that had been in our garage that they said they could not get in. We do not have a garage in the new house and the cabinet could not get through our doorways. We have a large 3-piece sectional that we had measured and didn't think would fit. We had arranged with a specialist service to take it apart, move it in, and assemble again. So we had asked the movers to leave it at the front of the house. When everything was moved in a couple of the guys asked if they could try getting the sectional inside. We said you can try but don't think you'll manage it. The 'lead' mover agreed. But they managed to get all 3 parts in. In our opinion this was exceptional and went above and beyond. I know this is a ridiculously long review but this was such a great experience that I wanted to provide these details. Oh, and Denis only charged his original quote - he was in his rights to charge the not to exceed price but kept with the original. We cannot recommend this company enough read more

This team of movers rocks! Recommended to me by a friend, I couldn't be more grateful. Denis leads the team - he's easy, friendly, direct, no nonsense, flexible. We changed move date twice, he didn't blink an eye. Peter heads up the team of movers, he's direct, punctual, never slows down, his is a smooth running machine. There were no surprises, the guys finished in under the time I'd expected, and when I called to have some more stuff moved a couple of months later they were here immediately and swooped everything away in their usual fast and efficient manner. They will help us move again in four months and I'm relieved to know that our moving day is one thing I don't have to worry about at all! read more

We are two older folks--one partially disabled and the other injured. We were moving down stairs in bad weather, and trying to downsize significantly while obviously not being able to do much. We were a challenge. Dennis was a delight to work with. He was direct, honest, funny, and gave us a fair quote that he did not exceed. His crew of Pete and Milton showed up on time, asked good questions, worked like whirlwinds, and finished early on both ends of the move. . They packed, unpacked, and hauled away extras. Nothing was damaged, everything was where it was supposed to be and clearly labeled. As traumatic as the moving experience was for us personally, Statewide made it as easy as possible. I would recommend them to anybody. read more

I've worked with Statewide movers in the recent past with clients--I'm a professional organizer. I just used them to move some things I was given, into my son's place and my own. They were so kind and so courteous and so professional, I was blown away. I have a running joke about movers..."don't get me started". But these guys? They were amazing. I know it had more of an impact on me because this was personal, but that's what moving is. Even my calls into the office were met by kindness and professionalism. They've officially climbed to the top of my recommendactions list! Because in this day and age couldn't we all use a little more kindness and consideration? read more

The Statewide team made our recent apartment to house move so simple. Easy to communicate with and friendly service with the whole process of packing us up, moving, and unloading at our new place. No issues whatsoever as they're are pros with each step of the process. This was the second time that we moved with Statewide. Great team and couldn't have done the move without them! #quality #friendly #professional #quick read more

Love, Love, Love working with Denis McCarty of Statewide Moving. We have had a great experience with two moves in the past and he always does a fabulous job. Instant communication, fabulous resource for all of my questions. On time, very efficient and the pickup and delivery staff was terrific. Not a single item was damaged in anyway and with this last move they picked up and delivered to two different locations. Great pricing as well. Certainly can't go wrong with Statewide, highly recommend them. read more

Now a *three-time* happy customer--wish I could give 6 stars: The house where I rented was being put up for sale, so this time, I hired Statewide to move everything else along with my piano. I wasn't sure I'd be able to get them because my move-out deadline was pushed back nearly 2 weeks earlier, but Dennis made it work. Everybody was so efficient and thoughtful in how they handled my belongings, and they finished much earlier than I had anticipated. These folks are terrific--moving is incredibly stressful, and their kind personalities calmed my nerves. :-) read more

I highly recommend Statewide Moving and Storage. Dennis and Kiernan were very clear and informative, the team was prompt, very efficient, very nice, and extremely careful with our belongings and with the walls and floors in our new place. After they left, we realized that the front door wasn't working well after it had been put back on its hinges, and Dennis came right over and set it right. I have nothing negative to say, and would certainly use them for a future move. Highly recommend. read more

Great service. Thoughtful. Professional. Met every commitment Moves are a big deal. The knights at Statewide made it easy.

Excellent service. Highly recommend these guys. They were fast and knew what they were doing.

Denis and his crew are the best. I asked my realtor for a moving/storage recommendation after a disastrous move last summer and I couldn't say enough great things about these guys. They're honest, reliable, careful and efficient. They got everything done in a little over a day without a single hiccup and were spot on with their initial quote. read more

Statewide was recommended to me by my piano tuner and Dennis & his crew did a great job moving my piano. They were on time, experienced and reasonable. I plan to use them, or recommend them for any and all moving. read more

Kieran and his team were first class, extremely detail oriented and efficient. From packing to disassemble / reassemble of furniture, to moving large appliances, to even organizing boxes for storage, they went out of the way to make our family's move seamless. Offered tons of extra advice and guidance and really took charge of the move. Highly highly recommend! read more

We just hired Kieran and his company to move from a 4000 sf house in San Francisco to Sonoma County. This involved 2 flights of stairs, real heavy lifting, plus placing items in the basement for temporary storage, including a baby grand piano and antique furniture! We have engaged him on several occasions in the last 20 years, moving pieces of furniture and two grand pianos back and forth locally between my in-law's place, our house, and second home. We wouldn't go with anybody else. He is a professional! read more

This is probably really a 2.5 star review. 5 stars for work quality, 0 stars for customer service. Friends of ours had used them, had gotten a great price from them and recommended them to us. I called Dennis at Statewide to get a rough idea on pricing and availability. He wouldn't give me a ballpark and then took a week to come to my house and give me a price. At that time he gave me a price range that was twice what my friends paid, but told me that if the move went well and we moved a lot of the small/fragile stuff it would be less. In the end he actually charged my at the high end of the range despite my family having moved every small/fragile item in the house. When I called later to ask Dennis why I was charged more than twice what my friends paid (whose house was a similar size, but with a bit less in it) I got 100% push back. At first he was polite about it, but when I pressed him further he got agitated and basically told me that he accepted none of my feedback as a customer. He then begrudgingly offered me a sub-10% refund, but did it in such an insulting way that I couldn't even respond. I wished him luck and ended the discussion. So, to sum up, great movers, really fast. They use a small truck which is a little odd when they have to haul multiple loads, but that was mostly fine (other than my contractors not being prepared for them to show up with the first load an hour after the move started). But in terms of customer service, Dennis clearly lives in the "customer is stupid" world of customer service. Very disappointing. read more

Just hired Kieran and his team from Statewide moving and they were simply great! They packed all our precious china and Chrystal glasses in a very professional manner and the move was done in a timely manner with no breakage or damage. Everyone was very friendly during the whole day, they even put our bed frame together! I will definitely use them again for another move. read more

Is there a way to give an eleven? Kieran Clifford and Statewide Moving are superb. More then going the extra mile, he went several thousand. From SF to LA to Duluth to NYC our final destination. Packed and unpacked everything with a calm aplomb. I am not grateful for the white glove service but for the cup of coffee and crumb cake from a local favorite he knew about here on UWS. If youre looking for white glove delivered with caring, calm precision - I mean flawless execution - than call Kieran. Disclaimer: he moved me from SF to LA a decade ago and I knew how great he was then. read more

Dennis and his partner arrived on time, were friendly and polite and moved my 1925 baby grand Mason and Hamlin piano from San Mateo to Oakland without a hitch. They took with great care with how they negotiated the piano out of the San Mateo house, down the steps, into the truck, and the reverse when bringing it into and placing it in the Oakland house. The price was reasonable, as well. I highly recommended this company. read more

Best movers ever. On time, professional, hard working, fast, friendly. They moved me once and my parents twice.

Simply stated these guys were awesome. Prompt and as friendly as can be. I used them in August for my move into a house. Plenty of steps and a couple of really heavy pieces. Nothing but smiles from those guys. Money well spent. Using them again for another move as we speak. read more

These guys are awesome. They just completed my move from my Oakland apartment to my Oakland house in 3 1/2 hours flat. In (early) at 10:30 and done at 1:30. No damage to anything and even asked me whether I needed something repositioned before they left. Well worth the money and the tip I gave each of them. read more

Statewide did an outstanding job of moving my grand piano and a mountain of personal possessions! Dennis the owner, and Kieran and Richard, the associates, are tops--integrity plus! The piano had to come through the window with a crane and they were artists at work! My piano was treated like gold. My household goods were all treated respectfully and arrived in great shape. Statewide has everything you would want in a mover - talent, skill, demeanor, punctuality, good prices, hard work -- you name it. They were fast, they were careful, they were polite, they were reassuring when I was nervous. A few months later, I called them for advice to fix with a piece of furniture -- a floor-to-ceiling large hutch that was very old and failing. They came back with three men and restored it in an hour -- flawless work!! Highest recommenndation! read more

Kieran has moved me countless times from state to state with pianos & big furniture since 2008. There is nobody like him. He is calm, efficient, careful & fast. I would never call anyone else to move my things! He'll take the extra step to help you out. Kieran is the best mover ever, that's all I can say. I would give more stars if I could. read more

These guys are as good as it gets!!!! I was moving what is to me a priceless baby grand piano, given to me by my grandmother, into a movers challenged home in the east bay hills. I did not want to trust it to my regular household movers. Dennis and Statewide came recommended by a local piano store. I was still scared to have the piano coming down a set of steep stairs. You would have thought they were moving feather (well maybe not the them). It was the most AMAZING thing I have ever seen ANY mover do. It was like watching the most perfectly conducted symphony. Thank you Dennis!!!!!. I appreciate how you both cared for my piano and put my fears at ease. I would/will use Statewide for anything I ever have to move again. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! read more

I had the best possible experience with Statewide Moving recently when moving from SF to LA (which they accomplished in one day). Researching moving companies was daunting, and luckily a friend recommended Statewide to me. Denis, Kieran, and the rest of the crew were professional, super friendly, quick, and affordable. Most importantly, they handled my belongings with care. They did an excellent job, and I highly recommend their services! read more

These guys are flakes. I will never call them again, use them, or recommend them. They gave me a very competitive quote to move and store a desk from the East Bay to the City. The stuff needed to be out of a friend's office by 12/31. Kieran asked me to e-mail him a few days prior. it went unanswered for several days as di several phone messages. The pm of 12/30, they told me that they couldn't do it. Very unprofessional. No way to treat anybody, let alone run a busieness. I suspect this shows up in other ways in dealing with these guys. read more

Statewide is the best moving company. Even the person who gave them 2.5 stars said their moving service is 5 star. Ask for Dennis if you want 5 star customer service. Great service and reasonably priced. They pay attention to detail and can move quickly without rushing. They've moved my family once within SF and moved my inlaws from Chicago to San Rafael. There is nothing bad I can say about the company and the people that work for this company. Dennis and his co-workers were prompt, courteous, dependable and absolutely a pleasure to work with. I was re-carpeting my entire home and needed my Grand Piano to be removed from my sunken living room temporarily and then moved backed into the room upon carpet installation. This was all done over a two week span. During the entire process Dennis returned calls promptly, arrived when he said he would be there and made the piano move seem effortless. I would recommend this company to anyone, very professional, dependable and a company anyone would be impressed with. Triple A rating in my opinion. read more

Top notch piano moving - fast, respectful of the space and the piano, friendly and great price for the work. Neil got me out of a bind when I stupidly loaded a 500-lb piano into my truck. I needed it out fast and up my 2 flights of stairs. He called me back within a few business hours of my message, stopped by my house same day to see if the piano would even fit, and did the move the very next morning. He, Kieran and Brian were friendly and even made my piano predicament fun because they were happy and hardworking, even singing/whistling at times. I still felt they were professional and I was comfortable having them handling a prized possession and in my home. The price I paid was comparable to two other companies I had looked at that were not available for a number of days. Kieran also gave me lots of recommendations to get my new, but actually old piano back to a beautiful state. I loved these guys, and highly recommend. read more
