These movers were incredibly unprofessional, tried to milk the clock, and were quite unreliable and shady. First, they arrived 45 minutes late. Everything in my house had already been packed and was ready to go. I had a small 2 bedroom townhouse that was under 100 sq ft. We'd even previously moved about 20 boxes over ourselves. It took 3 men nearly FIVE HOURS just to load the truck at the first stop. I noticed that they would carry out one small box or shelf at a time, and take a very long time wrapping things. It was pretty obvious they were milking the clock since I was paying them hourly. The crew lead then said it was their lunch time and they were going to take a 30-40 minute lunch. Fine. After one full hour, there was still no sign of them. I called to ask where they were and they said they'd still be another 30-40 minutes!! I said that was not acceptable, and the guy gave me major attitude. He said, and I quote "what's your problem, I'm on break and you aren't paying for my break!" He also said "Do you expect me to work hungry? I can't work when I'm hungry"! I then called their manager to complain. The manager spoke to them and said they were "just around the corner". This was not true - they still took 30 minutes AFTER that to even show up. At this point I started to think it was a scam and they were going to disappear with all my belongings. After I called him and his manager several more times he finally showed up. The crew leader, Erkin, continued to be belligerent saying he was hungry and didn't want to be rushed and I wasn't paying him for a break so he could take as long as he wanted. I said I had people coming over to help me unpack and we couldn't be moving things well into the evening just because he felt like taking a nearly 2 hour lunch after being late! I have never heard of movers taking 2 hour lunches. To top it off, at the end of the day he tried to sneak in that I should pay him for the time he drove on his break which was an hour driving. Um no - we moved across Pacifica, in the middle of the day, with no traffic - it's a 10 minute drive. Avoid this company like the plague. They were slow, rude to me and my family, and uncommunicative. read more

The good: Nothing was broken or damaged (from what I can see), except for a small key holder plate that I would've thrown out anyhow. They also moved a pool table - already disassembled - so well done! The bad: No packing paper. No bubble wrap. They used a ton of old clothes that I was planning on donating to GoodWill, and then went through roll after roll of my paper towels. They had many rolls of wrap and tape. No cardboard boxes (except 6 wardrobe boxes). I had packed up a bunch of stuff on my own, and luckily I had a bunch of boxes from my girlfriend's move, so they used those. Wardrobe boxes were used to hold everything else, and then they stuffed my newly cleaned shirts in the box (hanging with about 6 inches beneath them). The lead guy did this (George), and when I saw it I started trying to make room. He then pulled out a couple pillows and some sheets so they could actually hang - not completely, but at least not stuffed in. The ludicrous: They packed each leg of one of my wooden chairs separately, and it took two guys and 5-10 minutes to do this. No damage of course, but that is not how you pack chairs. I had to point this out to the lead guy who then told them to wrap the whole chair. They spent a lot of time individually wrapping things that didn't need to be individually wrapped. Had they brought bubble wrap, it would've been quick, instead they used rolls of paper towels. I think my corkscrew was wrapped in 10 layers of paper towel. Each item is taking me minutes to unwrap - trying to get my soap dispensers unwrapped is crazy. Going through layers of tape and then paper towels. No damage as I said, but definitely the wrong way to pack. A roll or two of bubble wrap would've gone far. The annoying: No picture frame boxes for transporting pictures - I have text messages back and forth with Sam indicating the need to transport pictures that were large - 4ft wide. They. came completely empty-handed in this regard. I had to transport 3 of my large photo frames b/c they couldn't do it without risking damage. One of them they wrapped in plastic wrap, followed by cardboard that I had, followed by a moving blanking, and taped up like crazy. They brought a Budget rental truck - with no ramp. So up and down they go on a hydraulic lift. First time I've ever seen anyone do this. A real waste of time. It took 9 and a quarter hours to move and that's with me rushing to unpack things so they could get their blankets, and with me helping to unload from the truck (just a bit). The time might've been OK had they not wasted such an enormous amount of time due to being completely untrained in how to move and unprepared for making the move. I asked Sam before I hired him if he was sending employees or subcontractors. He was very clear stating that "of course they are my employees", and "we have all our own trucks". Unless you own Budget, I don't think you were being very honest. Very disappointed. read more

I confirmed on my side, but they didn't show up, were unreachable with multiple calls and voice mail messages. Amateurs: They were going to have 2 movers try to move a large-but-unstable 500+-pound built-in refrigerator. I didn't want the refrigerator to be damaged, so I arranged to have 2 other people there to help them. There are a lot of better options out there. I worked with these guys today. They were quick, courteous and efficient. I liked how they stayed in touch with me through the booking right up to the time they arrived. Alex and Aivar helped us. They called me 30 mins before arrival and were on time. Alex took time to run through the contract. Once they got working they were quick. The boxes that me and my wife took the whole weekend over was loaded in 45 mins. There were some 35+ boxes. The rest of the smaller stuff took time but I anticipated that. These guys were pretty quick. I saw them working very efficiently. The only ding was my 2 seat recliner being too heavy. I was hoping it would not be but I know it's a big load. I had to part with $100 for that. Once they loaded the truck, they gave me the key to the lock on it, which only I could get opened at the destination. The unloaded went smoothly too. I had to move with 24 hours notice last year after a fire in my building. I used a different company to move out, and hired relocal to move back in. The movers that moved me out charged me $1,000. I hired Relocal to move back in. They basically did the same thing the other company did, just in reverse, and they Charged $550.00. The guys who moved my stuff, Erkin and Nurdin were efficient and careful with my stuff. They are strong and fast. They were flexible, i asked to move one day earlier with a 18hours notice and they did it. They kept me updated and arrived on time. I did a poor job of organizing and packing my stuff. But they quickly reorganized it. There were a lot of unexpected problems: - couch could hardly fit in the elevator, they found a way. - the building manager insisted for us to go by the service entrance (longer with corners), they convinced him to let us take the main entrance and probably saved us 1 hour. Great experience! The movers called 30 minutes ahead to confirm their timing. They arrived on time and started right away. They first explained the process and steps. They started with moving the boxes and then moved on to wrapping our furniture and disassembling anything that was needed. They had their own moving blankets, drills, and other tools to help out. The move was from the 3rd floor to another 3rd floor and they seemed to handle it very well- with a positive attitude! None of our items were damaged including fragile items and pots and plants. It turns out 3 other families were moving on the same day and time as well and my movers handled it with ease and professionalism. The guys were friendly, quick, and easy to work with! They accomplished so much in 8 hours. The apartment we moved from was challenging, involving parking on a steep hill, stairs, angles on the doorways, and the guys were total pros. They brought wardrobe boxes and took the clothes out of our closet for us, boxed them, and put them into the closet in the new place.
