Fast and easy sushi place. Pretty affordable and great selection of dishes. Would recommend!

Lets start with the wonton soup. It was ok but no scallions just plain broth The beef pancakes were awful. Thick dough & a few pieces of meat. Dont get these. Very unappealing. The Chow Fun noodles were too thick & stuck together. Will never go back here again. The store shocked me. Very messy with boxes & many things blocking the windows. A messy desk in the middle of the floor where the tables are. Have no idea why that should be in a restaurant. Stay away from this restaurant!!! read more

This sushi is nothing special. Ordered 2 salmon avocado rolls and 1 brown rice salmon avocado roll. (No extra charge for brown rice, score!) The rice was not seasoned and a little mushy, the salmon wasn't the freshest but not terrible. They have a buy two get one free which seems like a good deal except their rolls are more expensive than usual. $20 for 3 simple fish rolls isn't what I call a deal. Maybe I'm used to the quality of non kosher sushi and the cheaper price due to not needing kashrus supervision etc, but man kosher sushi can not compete at the price point for quality and flavor- what a shame. My sister did find a thick strand of hair in her sushi which was a major turn off. The service was fanatic, sushi came out fast and when there was a mix up (my mistake) they fixed it super quick with no fuss. They have a display case with a nice selection of ready to go rolls, convenient when you're strapped for time and need a quick bite. They have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and a bathroom that customer's can use. read more

They are good. I like them when they have sushi during the lunch time. My daugther likes the three roll, where you get the Sushimi and sushi in one roll. I love the place, because I buy three rolls and the third roll is free. Really works when you are short on cash. Otherwise the place needs to be cleaned and monitored. I would not eat in the restaurant. The sushi sometimes is not fresh, so it depends what time of the day you come in. They also have the Chinese right across. Which is good too. read more

As bad as it can get. Order a very large order last night, first and last time. From poor and unpleasant people and service to very low quality food, cannot get any worse. I am proud to be Jewish but not proud when so called kosher restaurants are service poor quality food and treating customer in a " what ever " way as long as they are kosher it's ok... it is not. Third is the charm. Sushi always fresh., THAT'S why its receiving five stars. Quantity are good portions for all rolls & platters. Order-to-go: 1. Spicy Tuna Roll @ $ 6.50, tuna, Spicy mayo, Avocado, masago. 2. Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll @ $6.95., basically spicy tuna, crunchy outside. 3. Miso Soup., 4. My 10 year old step daughter found this sushi spot during the pandemic (thank you Grub Hub!). And I was SO impressed. I absolutely love this spot and I LOVE the menu. Stop Chop & Roll has the most amazing vegetable rolls I've ever seen on a menu - yes, that might not be "traditional sushi" but I love it. Also - the regular sushi rolls are very unique. I get so bored of sushi joints because the menus are always exactly the same - this place is a fresh take on sushi. I recommend the pepper tuna roll and the yellowtail roll with jalapeño and scallion. Also all vegetable rolls ! My 10year old loves the sweet potato roll. Sushi is okay. Price isn't so bad since its a kosher place. The service however was the worst I've ever experienced in any eating establishment. Not the only kosher sushi place so I won't have to return anytime soon. If you're gonna be in food service you better make sure all of your staff that deal with customers aren't lacking basic interaction skills. I went out to Stop Chop & Roll a few nights ago with some family members. We likely won't be going back. The service was slow, the one person at the register didn't know the menu well, and the items re received were not as described. We ordered the salmon tartare appetizer. What they served was pretty much a plate of sashimi, but not quite. Slices of salmon that were actually seared around the edges, with some honey wasabi sauce on top. They even put wasabi and ginger on the side, as if it was a sushi roll! Tartare is supposed to be chopped fine, with seasoning mixed in, and RAW! Not seared off! I also ordered the Spicy Girl roll. It's described as "Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail with Special Sauce and Crunch on Top". It was just spicy salmon with spicy tuna on top with some crunch. No yellowtail, no sauce. When we asked if the tartare and Spicy Girl roll were the right dishes, we were curtly informed that yes, it's the right dish. We also ordered some edamame. At first it tasted as if they forgot to salt it. Then we found out why - they had put all the salt in one spot! So we had some beans that were incredibly salty, and others that were bland. I will say that the fish did taste fresh, and it was pretty good for what it was. But if I order something that says it has yellowtail, or a tartare, I want to get what I asked for! read more

Just had the most awful experience ever. A friend of mine and me made an order. First they forget my friends order. Then, we had to wait for 25 min. for the food while the place was empty and when we complained about so long waiting time the cashier just yielded in return "if you are gong to complain then I won't give you food at all". read more

I rarely review restaurants. Generally, I am pretty satisfied with my meals or feel the service is good enough to avoid a poor review. Boy was this an exception. Considering this is the five towns, there is no need to serve an outstanding product. I have eaten at Sushi Tokyo nearby and have been equally disappointed. I went to stop chop & roll the other night and was in shock. Upon entering the "restaurant" if you can call it that, I see the owner spread eagle in the seating area. This guy took up a full four person booth and table with his papers slopped all over it. I've never seen anything like it. What a disappointment. The owner was taking up a fifth of the seating area, not to mention his area looked like a pig slop. He was sure to take a phone call at full volume while we were eating. After I finally overcame that terrible sight, I was bombarded by this order taker. Some man who was trying to expedite the line, he kept shouting "are you ready to order!" repeatedly. I had not been ready but there was a real pressure to order. I ordered three rolls and sat down with my friends. While we were waiting in an 95% empty seating area next to the owners sloppy mess, my friends and I were having a conversation. The owner was sure to quickly shush us! Like I was 5 years old! Nerve of that guy. The sushi finally came and I was fairly disappointed. The spicy tuna tasted like a packed sardine. The fish must have been at least a week old. I was so upset and my stomach followed suit. The California rolls were adequate because how can you screw that up? My friend said his sushi tasted old and the fish was flakey on the outside, a symptom of raw fish overexposure to air. This place was not too sanitary and the food was disappointing. The food along with the hostile employees + the fact that the owner takes up half the seating area, makes for a terrible dining experience. read more

The first utterance of "Meh..." may actually have been used to describe this dingy excuse for a "restaurant" (and I use the word loosely). Prices are no bargain, staff have a strict "no smile or eye contact" policy, and this is one of those places that actually asks you (not in a green way, but in a cheap deadpan way) "Do you want a bag?" Do I want a bag?! Dude I just bought 4 sushi rolls to go... YES I WOULD APPRECIATE A MEANS OF TRANSPORTING MY NEWLY ACQUIRED, OVERPRICED SUSHI TO MY CAVE!! How about asking me if I need any napkins, or extra chop sticks? The owner is a stone faced guy, barrel of good will and smiles - who actually sits sprawled out at a table near the ordering counter with like a calculator, all of his bills and coat strewn about, I'd visit again just to see that sight. Absolutely no ambience, service is nil, and friendliness "come again" factor is even worse. Oh yeah to top it off the food is a rung and a half above "doesn't totally suck", and the price is no great shakes either...you do the math Einstein! So, I ordered out at this place through Doordash. After reading some of the reviews for those that go to the place in person, I fear I may never go here in person. So this review is purely just for takeout. The food was amazingly fresh! I was throughly surprised at how fresh it was. I've been looking for a place that is closer to me where I can get a Poké Bowl and this is the place for me. Normally, I get my bowl from a place in Great Neck, this comes pretty close to the quality of that place. Some new items for me that I tried were got shitake mushrooms and kani, they tasted so good. The only issue I have is the pricing. This place is pricey for what is it giving. My same Poké Bowl in Great Neck is about $5 cheaper and I usually get an aloe drink with it. That usually is no more than $20. My poke bowl from here was $22 before all the tax and fees, and I didn't get anything to drink so, that's a bit of a let down. Otherwise, the place is amazing, I highly recommend the Poké Bowl. I will be ordering from this place again! read more

Overpriced even with the "buy 2 get 1 free" They overcharge a couple of $$ on each roll and then give one free. Whoopie!! Other competitors aka Sushi Tokyo would come out cheaper even with paying full price. Service is horrendous I had to almost beg the counter guy to take my order, Like how dare I bother him. I ordered the 'yummy' roll & 2 salmon avocado rolls . When it came time to pay I asked for some extra sweet sauce for dipping ( at Tokyo they just fill up your bag with extra sauces ) I was told "well that the yummy roll already comes with sweet sauce drizzled on top. After much begging and pleading I was awarded with 1 tiny container of sweet sauce. Trying not to make a scene but feeling like an absolute idiot I tried to explain that I had 3 rolls and I'd need more than 1, and by the way can I also have some spicy mayo on the side. To which I was told well if you wanted spicy you should have ordered a spicy roll, salmon avocado roll comes plain and besides one of my rolls were free & therefor, not entitled to extra sauces. Wow. Ordered food at 315pm to atlantic beach,. It is currently 553pm. Still no food. Spoke to Avi, who claimed to be the owner. Was nasty, yelled and got aggravated that I called 3 times to inquire about the delivery. Made it seem it is my fault that it is late. Shushi is overpriced, never cared because it is actually pretty good. Now- I will never order or go there again. Besides from the prices being a bit high (which is expected in kosher restaurants due to the higher cost of maintaining a kosher business), the rolls were particularly small, they charge extra for "rice on the outside" rolls, and I felt like the eel sauce and spicy mayo either lacked flavor or they water it down to save $.
