Is a great location but unfortunately the quality of the food is horrible. I thought I had found my favorite go to fast food Chinese/Japanese restaurant when I taste their food a few months ago and visited several times again. Unfortunately, this 5/18/2025 weekend is one of several times that the food was very disappointed. The consistency has total disappeared. The fried rice and the beef were tasteless and probably wasn't fresh. Food is good. Have been coming here for years. Service is absolutely terrible. So bad that we will not be returning. An item was missing from our order and we called back to let them know. The people insisted they placed our lo mein but they clearly did not. They were rude, disrespectful, and clearly wrong. We were not trying to swindle them for 10 dollars but for their service and terrible attitude, they have lost lifelong customers which is a lot more of a loss from them. The food was cooked in a timely manner for an America Chinese food joint and that's the nicest thing I can say about our experience. The food was terrible! The sesame seed chicken and pork fried rice I and wife ordered was bland and made with such little care. The sesame seed chicken was hard to chew and the sauce had a weird tangy taste. The chicken lo mein that I ordered for my son was under cooked, he took one bite and look at me with an I blame you face. Last but not least, our "egg rolls" were burnt to a crisp. All in all I would give this place half a star if I could. We barely took a few bites before we left the food on the table in disgust. As of right now I'm pretty sure the wired feeling I'm getting in my stomach is due to eating at this establishment. The lady on the phone is immensely rude when asked about the menu options. I ordered from you restaurant tonight. As I was scooping up some white rice to eat I noticed something brown on my rice. Me thinking the rice was burnt I moved it to the lid of my bowl. Once I put it on the lid I realized the brown object came off the rice. So I took a closer look at it just to see that it is a dead roach. I am utterly disgusted and very much disturbed. Service is very iffy and the cleanliness leaves a LOT to be desired. Obviously you come here for the cheap buffet dining. Ambience and decor is great and hip. Keep in mind this place is VERY small and the buffet items are not the freshest. A plus is that there's sushi here, but the guy who makes it seems to get very annoyed when you take any of it. Disgusting! We called back to complaint and get money back, and they were refusing to give it back, they were only offering to cook more food (obviously I did not trust their food anymore, why would I want more??) after arguing with them for a couple of minutes they finally agreed to return money and hung up......please stay away from this "restaurant", needless to say we have learned our lesson and will not be ordering anymore from there. read more

Since the bad experience we have called again and did not receive any further such nonsense about problems delivering to our community. The staff has been courteous and lived up to what we expected in the first place. And I used the exact same information and identification we used before. Sometimes one employee's terrible behavior can tarnish a business. I personally felt the owner's apology was a bit dismissive and less than empathetic but I guess that's the new attitude in customer service. The food however has been good and the delivery service punctual. Everyone has been courteous and respectful, so I am morally obligated to update their review. Enjoy... No wonder this place is rated two stars. I ordered happy family. The cost was $13.50. On the percentage scale the dish had 70% of vegetables and 30% of meat. The reason we ordered from this particular store was because our local store was closed. At our local store this dish cost $11 and has much more meat quantity and variety Wise. And the sauce that comes with the dish is much tastier. When I called Moca Express the representative told me that if I wanted more meat I would have to pay more for the dish. I don't believe that 100 g of meat shreds is worth $13.50 plus tax. This is the last time I ordered from this place. read more

I have to say, after eating several times from this restaurant, this is officially my last time. To be fair, I used to wonder why they received such a low rating on Yelp when I was getting tasty dishes in a relatively timely manner. But after a while I noticed a consistent lack of care taken when I placed my orders. There's a favorite dish of mine that I enjoyed the very first time I got it. It was spicy because it has a good amount of jalapeños and that's exactly what I liked about it. The second time I ordered this dish there was a noticeable decrease in flavor but not enough to make it unenjoyable. There were two slices of jalapeño in this one.The third time I got this damn dish, I asked them for extra jalapeños and expected more than 2 slices. When I got the food I opened it and saw green slices, and more than 2 so that was good. So imagine my complete disappointment when I bit them and they were green peppers. Green pepper isn't even an ingredient of the original dish. Fast forward to today when I came in and ordered a Singapore Mei Fun which comes with curry. I asked for extra curry and I got NO curry. I can't form an attachment to a restaurant like this, because it has no personality. It's all about the food, and it's all about the service. Many of the people who work here, are not particularly fluent in English, and perhaps that was the reason why they can do very little more than nod, smile, and give prompt and courteous service(if they want to). That's okay with me, because on a whole, Chinese restaurants are no longer set up to be gracious and very friendly, the way they used to be when I was a little kid and my parents would take me occasionally to their favorite. The owners were usually to be found in the vicinity of the cashier's counter, which was usually near the entrance. It was there that people came in and picked up their takeout orders,, and it was the owner or his manager, who would be responsible to take the orders from the kitchen, to the cashier's counter, where they would await the arrival of customers. The owner, was very deliberate in being very nice to all of his customers, and try to show them a very friendly and gracious face. It was his way of communicating appreciation for their loyalty and patronage, which, reflected his personal success in achieving excellent food, excellent service, and their continued loyalty. When I wrote my previous review of Mocha Express, in 2013, I was defending a restaurant that I thought was getting trashed mercilessly, with negative things that I had never experienced during my brief lunches there.. It bothered me that they were being accused of racism, and unsanitary conditions, because I had been there with many of my friends who happen to be black. There was never even a glimmer of anything except decent food, accompanied by a hello, goodbye, and thank you. In the absence of having observed nothing negative,and because I had no expectation of being treated anything more then respectfully, I defended the restaurant, from what I thought must be a malicious trashing. Recently I have had several opportunities to go back to Mocha Café, and experienced a level of arrogance and disrespect that I was unable to see before my last review. I will now say that the staff was not nasty, but they certainly were not interested in giving good service. Furthermore, when people complained, they were sharply put back in place and told off by management. I could not believe my eyes and ears, and I decided there and then that I would never return there, and advise my review is for the benefit of my fellow Yelpers. Therefore, IfI am reducing the number of stars to 2, and asking my fellow yelpers to be on guard if they go there,and to be particularly vigilant if you order takeout delivery. I have witnessed this place, getting our orders entirely wrong, and placing the blame on us. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I placed an order to be delivered. I'm at work in a school and don't alway have access to my phone. Apparently, when you place an order for delivery, they don't come to the door unless you answer your phone. I've placed many delivery orders from many places. Maybe I'm going crazy, but don't they come to your door to deliver food? I didn't know I could receive my food over the phone. And when I asked if he left a message, the woman said he doesn't speak English. How could he have told me my food was here, but not really here because he didn't deliver it, unless he spoke English?
