I never do reviews but this felt necessary. I waited on a long line and finally ordered. I had 2 smoothies on me, and began to drink it while waiting for my order. A guy with dark complexion behind the counter told me I had to drink it outside, so I finished my drink outside. I came back in, and he passive aggressively told me I had to wait outside with the other smoothie I had. I told him that I ordered food and I'm waiting for it, and a girl behind the counter actually explained it without being condescending and angry like the other dude. The guy keeps on going about it, and points to a sign outside, and gives me this passive aggressive expression like I should know better, like he's expecting me to know their religious rules, but he never explained anything... I then said, how, if he just explained it in the first place that it's part of their religion, like the girl did (with respect, mind you), but instead you don't, and to anyone else, coming off unreasonable and forcing an actual customer to wait outside for food, after already waiting for 20 minutes, that was already PAID for, it would've been dealt with properly . I walk outside holding my smoothie, only to decide seconds later I'm going to cancel the order and head out, as I've been there for 20 minutes. I come back in to cancel the order and while the same lady is cancelling it, the same guy has the nerve and audacity to whine about me coming in with a drink to cancel my transaction and leave! I told him how are you gonna tell me to leave my drink outside when I'm coming in to cancel the order and leave!? I'm already here! I couldn't even give the food a chance. Worst 20 minutes of my lunchtime wasted. Point is, I never had an issue with their rules. The way this guy went about this was so unfriendly, no respect, no explanation. The lady next to him was very kind and informative to the situation. This wouldnt have went south if he interacted with me like I was a normal human being. read more

Uber eats date: December 21, 2017 After having a failed order from uber eats because the place I choose to order from did not have eggs after it stated that they did have eggs I chose to order from wok tov for dinner. It was decent but not very great. I had the avocado roll for sushi and the roll fell apart as I was eating it but I'm not much of a rice person so I didn't mind not eating the rice that fell off the roll. I didn't have a choice not to include rice with my dinner so I had a whole bunch of white rice to throw outside for the animals to eat after I was done with my food. My homestyle tofu was plain and tasteless, I wish there was more flavor to it. The eggdrop soup was good but you really can't mess that up much. So I'm not sure I'd order from here again it was just alright. read more

I wish that I could give 10 stars! We just hosted our son and new daughter-in-law's Sheva Brachot at Wok Tov, and it was a perfect evening! Ari and Steven, the owners, were extremely courteous and helpful in planning the menu and designing the room set up. They made us feel like our Sheva Brachot was the most important event on their calendar! The linen and dinnerware used were elegant and a divider gave us lots of privacy. The decor of the restaurant is very pretty and tranquil, and our personal waiter was ever-present. Juan was ready to serve all our needs and even anticipated them before we asked! The buffet that was presented was overabundant and lavish and the food was delicious! We were so happy to see our guests go back for "seconds"! The vegetable egg rolls and the beef egg rolls were a delightful melody of crisp and soft. The white rice and the vegetable fried rice were like yummy fluffy clouds and the chicken lo mein was addictive! The two mains...General Tso Chicken and Pepper Steak nearly caused a stampede, as all of us delighted in their flavorful goodness! The piece de resistance...amazing pareve ice cream for dessert ...knocked our socks off! We are very grateful to the entire team at WokTov...Ari and Steven were so enthusiastic and gracious, and the wait staff and kitchen "magicians" treated us to courteous service and extraordinary food! I used to love this place. It was the closest to non kosher Chinese food besides a place in brooklyn. I hear there are new owners and it's a shame. Seems like they're skimping on food and charging more money. Needless to say I won't be returning to Wok Tov in the near future. Examples of food - the chicken with garlic sauce tasted like a fish dish - something was wrong with the chicken in this dish. The mini egg rolls were my absolute fav! This time they were basically hallow. Tasted the same but there was not much filling; very different than the past. The fried rice, seemed more like white rice with coloring. The Mei Fun was not mixed well together. Chunks of noodles stuck together and not sautéed with the rest of the dish. In addition, $12 for a plate of veg rice noodles seems quite ridiculous. On the price side, one main, one noodle, two appetizers was $60. Sorry but that's insane. read more

Ordered from this place on Uber eats a few times and have been so dissatisfied each time. The one time I wrote "more sauce" was the only time the meal was halfway decent. I order chicken and broccoli and the chicken is always rubbery sometimes undercooked, the rice is hard, and their sauce is so watered down you can't taste it. Broccoli is practically raw too. For really this is how Wok Tov came into existence. The food in this establishment is so unbelievable delicious that even Chuck Norris can't believe it. Once the sweet sauces hit your lips you will be Jonesing for more of that sweet Kool-Aid. I have eaten a great deal of Chinese cuisine in my time, both Kosher and non-kosher. This restaurant does not come anywhere near resembling authentic Chinese food. Ordered take out. They got the order right, It was down hill from there. Vegetarian steamed dumplings were merely whole carrots and peas in oversteamed dough. The Chicken Moo Shoo consisted of poor quality chicken and what looked like chopped marinated cabbage in an unidentifiable sauce. My wife had an Egg Roll that was basically dough and cabbage. She also had a chicken dish that she could not eat. My wife is kosher and really wanted to enjoy this, but we will not be going back. There are better kosher alternatives. read more

I went there an hour later and me and 5 other customers where told "they had no idea how much longer: When we ALL asked for a refund the 2 young girls at the counter told everyone "we are not authorized to give credits" There was no one of authority in the establishment. Not sure why this place is getting a bad rap on Yelp. The food is very good, the pricing is decent for Kosher Chinese food, and the location is very good as well. The service is quick whether you're eating in or ordering pickup. They have never messed up my order, and their delivery is fantastically fast as well! read more

When I went to the bathroom there was a hole in the wall half clogged up with a dirty towel and there were mosquitoes flying out of it. So disgusting. The food tastes just ok but of the three times I've eaten there I've gotten sick every time. Last time there was a ripped piece of paper in my rice which made me think it fell on the floor and they just scooped my rice and whatever else was there up and put it into my container. This is by far the WORST restaurant in history. If there was an option for NO STARS or NEGATIVE STARS I would for sure click on that. They don't even deserve 1 star. I have been told that they are apparently under "new management" which is very hard to believe. I gave them 5 tries. The first and second time is was nothing better than alright. The third and forth time it was terrible. The chicken's texture was like rubber band without taste, I had to throw away the dish right in the garbage. I've spoke to the store manager prior of ordering again to make sure that the chicken entree I got was fresh, and he said SURE it was just made. Sure enough it came and it tasted and felt like rubber bands. I left it like that. So here comes another day, I said I will give them 1 more try. I ordered a different dish, and it came the worst it ever came. It was dry chicken which had no taste and had the texture of old rubber bands. I don't recommend ANYONE to eat here. This place should not be OPEN. Go to Cho-Sen Island down the block. Their food is 1,000,000 better. They deserve our business. read more
