We wanted to stock up on meats and our regular meat market is in the belly of the beast right now so not an option. y husband suggested we give Michael's a shot. Plenty of parking, they had a sign up only 6 people allowed in the store at a time and you can clearly see right through the door how many people are in the store. I entered in and pulled a number. My number was called immediately but I needed time! They let me have some time to gander at the goods and prices. I did then have to wait some time to be asked again. I have to say there was an array of meats to choose from. The prices were higher than that meat market I normally go to. The staff were efficient. I did like that you could also get deli meat here as well. n a pinch I would go here again.,

With places like Market Basket, Dave's, and Big Y being more convenient alternatives, I just don't feel like Stop & Shop offers the same value that it used to. One of my biggest issues is the quality of the produce, especially the fruit. I've purchased fruit here that doesn't seem particularly fresh and often doesn't last more than a couple of days in the refrigerator, which I find unusual. When I'm paying higher grocery prices, I expect the quality to match. I also have concerns about some of the products they continue to carry. For example, I personally was uncomfortable seeing Driscoll's strawberries still being sold after the concerns and media coverage surrounding pesticide exposure and cancer risks. That definitely made me question the choices being made when it comes to certain products. Price is another major factor. Stop & Shop is noticeably more expensive than Market Basket, and honestly, I don't understand the price difference when I feel that Market Basket often has better quality produce and overall value. Big Y is also another option for me, even though it's a little farther away. I actually stopped at this Stop & Shop today primarily because I needed to go to Citizens Bank, which is conveniently located inside many Stop & Shop locations. While I was there, I picked up a few things I needed for the house. I will say that the shelves were well stocked, which was a positive. However, for a Saturday, having only two registers open wasn't ideal and basically forced me to use self-checkout, which I'm not a huge fan of. Overall, the store was fine for grabbing a few necessities, but I just don't find myself choosing Stop & Shop for my main grocery shopping anymore. There are simply other stores that I feel offer better prices, better quality, and a better overall value.

Having the garage parking with the elevator right up to the main level makes things incredibly easy, especially on busy weekends or bad weather days. Way less stressful than circling around crowded lots hoping someone backs out. The employees have always been friendly too, which honestly makes a difference. The whole place has a good energy to it. We ordered a plate with white rice and half a chicken for $11.99 along with a small container of creole style shrimp for about $13 ($19.99 / pound). We didn't realize some items are charged by weight and other can be included in plate so that caused some misunderstanding; I wish items were marked off.
