The most requested rotisserie chicken left on Chicken Wars is Market Basket. They have 95…read morelocations, primarily all in New England, and they have SOLDIERS. My comments have been flooded with Market Basket requests since I started this journey. For full transparency, I didn't know MB existed until I started DOGGIN these chickens. I walked in with my production team, and was so caught off guard. Employees smiling from ear to ear while being dressed to the nines, floors squeaky clean, a fresh popcorn station, a delectable looking hot bar, etc. There is just so much soul in here. This is what a family run grocery store looks like before they sell out. You can just tell, this is their baby. They care so much. They put their heart and soul into running these stores, and it shows. I felt like I was in a Bucee's, and I don't know if I could give a higher compliment. Perhaps the most surprising thing of all was the $4.69 rotisserie chicken. This marks the cheapest tissi Chicken Wars has ever seen. Cheaper than Costco and Sam's Club. How are they doing this? My one concern was that the chicken came in saran wrap, which I thought would make the skin all soggy. The other 32 grocery stores I've tried all came in a plastic bag or plastic container. However, I respected the confidence. They're not scared to do something no one else is doing. Talent hits a target no one else can hit, genius hits a target no one else can see. We got this bird and took it to a park down the street, and I began consumption. The skin was ideal, a perfect golden brown with a slight crisp. The saran wrap didn't make it soggy at all. The breast was perfectly tender and was delicious. I didn't need one sip of water throughout the whole bird. The leg was operating at a high level as well, falling off the bone. I sat on this park bench in awe. How? How can this be $4.69, a good size, and this good? It didn't make sense. I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. I ended up giving it an 8.9/10, which makes it tied for 3rd with the Fresh Market. My only critique is it didn't have as much flavor as Fairway or Publix, but it was right there. I was so inspired that I went back in and tried to buy a hat, but they didn't sell any smh. I was especially thankful for this, as we needed a road win in New England. The other 2 birds I tried up here were ROUGH. A nice side effect of this journey has been traveling to try new birds. Every time I travel, I feel like I gain a wealth of knowledge in a short period of time. I grow and learn every time I go to a new place, and to me, that's what life is all about. Learning, growing, and trying to satiate this passionate curiosity I have about the world. THANK YOU MARKET BASKET FOR BRINGIN THE REAL BACK! FOR BRINGING THE SOUL BACK! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

And - the selection is great, prices are better, and quality surpasses Stop& Shop's by leaps and bounds. The fruit & veggie selection is excellent to me, the bakery products are excellent, and the pre-cut fruit bowls are always a hit when I bring them to friends' (and rival Whole Foods for variety - at about 1/2 the price). The staff have always been helpful & responsive to me. I LOVE it here!

Market 32 is our closest grocery store, yet it is always one of our last choices. Our pecking order…read moreof supermarkets in our area is as follows: 1. Wegmans 2. Whole Foods 3. Market Basket 4. Stop & Shop 5. Market 32 6. Price Chopper/Hannaford We realize that quality and selection with some of these grocery stores can vary by location. For example, a Price Chopper can be much nicer in one town than in another (Price Chopper Webster, MA is a very nice PC). But in our area, we stand by these standings! We use Market 32 as a giant convenience store for on demand staples like hamburger patties and rolls, milk and eggs. That said, some of these items are much more expensive than Market Basket. And when it comes to produce, we're always disappointed with Market 32 quality, and often the price too. Bok choy is a good example. Market 32 Bok choy is often $2 more a pound than at Market Basket, and limp, like it's been on a Price Chopper truck for a few days too long. And the cod we tried, was very fishy and compares poorly with cod loins from Wegman's. Market 32 prepared pizza was very disappointing, though I tried sushi here once (I was starving), and to my chagrin, it was pretty good. On the plus side, this Market 32 is quite new, quite clean, and usually quite quiet. But other than on-demand necessitates, we have much better choices if we're willing to drive an extra 10 - 15 minutes.

OKAY, Being on the spectrum is NOT an excuse to ask unsolicited RUDE & INVASIVE to your customers!!…read more Like seriously WTFFF. As follows: We went for a big grocery run (tho, literally NO ONE OWES ANYONE an explanation as to why ppl need certain ingredients & groceries). 3/4 into checking out, the kid employee, William L. bagging our food was openly complaining about how he doesn't wanna work anymore for the day (yes, which I get, it was around 615pm on a Thursday. I'm sure it was a long day) HOWEVER, he proceeded to ask us the following: - "why do you have so many groceries???" (As if it was an incredible inconvenience to him). BRUH, ITS NONE OF YOUR GODDAMN BUSINESS. - "is it just us two at home? Are you cooking for just you or a lot of people?" , AGAIN, ITS NONE OF YOUR GODDAMN BUSINESS. Thank gawd my partner stepped in to deescalate the situation. Like seriously. Regardless of whether or not you're on the spectrum it's incredibly rude to openly judge other people's groceries & ask them about their personal lives. ESPECIALLY if you're the one working there. Not to mention the lady in front of us was checking out at least 10 liters of apple juice & fruit punch & processed foods & juice boxes. I didn't hear him say anything to her about her choice of how she shops. Not nearly as much as we had for a lot of smaller ingredients. I didn't say anything or else I would've had another employee to intervene. The cashier who was with us seemed super embarrassed tht his coworker was even asking such questions. If you're just trying to make small talk with your customers (which these small towns often do during check out) THIS AINT IT.

She listened to what I wanted, and when I showed her a photo of my daughter's dress, she made great suggestions. The next day, I was surprised to receive a phone call from Sharon. It turned out that my daughter's date had also ordered a prom flowers at Dave's and Sharon was calling to ask if it would be ok if she deviated a little from what we had discussed so that their boutonniere and bouquet could match. I oof course said yes, and I was so impressed that Sharon had taken time to call me and I was equally impressed with how much thought she was putting into the flowers. Both the bouquet and the boutonniere were absolutely beautiful with dainty lavender roses, white hydrangeas, lovely accent greens, and a beautiful bow. The service I received here and the quality of the flowers was outstanding - far better than some full service florists. I'll definitely be going back here for future dance flowers, and I'd like to give a huge shoutout to Sharon for her thoughtfulness and the beautiful flowers she provided for prom.

The fresh seafood selection as well as butcher section are fantastic! I enjoy their meats like steaks and pre-made burger patties. This particular location is always clean and well stocked and I like that they have free fresh coffee while you shop. With brand names as well as local products, Dave's is what I look for in a local grocery market.
