It's Taunton. I don't know what's in the water up there but there is some very rude people and many of them work for hannaford's. I don't know why people have to make life tougher than it is, but the people in Taunton know how to do it especially at hannaford's they are not nice people. I won't shop there read more

4 times I have ordered delivery in the past 2 years and have not gotten part of my order but was charged. So it cost $10.00 for each delivery and each time I called the store they said they would send gift card but would not refund me. Today I was missing over $25.00 in product and the manager yet again offered to mail me a gift card. I told him know I wanted a refund because they have not followed through with the promise of 'mailing a gift card' I told him this was my final (shame on me) attempt at ordering for delivery and again they failed. Told the store that I would not take the chance of getting 'screwed' again by them and their promises to make make things right and would not be shopping with them again. Mind you I spent over $400.00 with this store today...manager said ok and offered no other solution. Poorest customer service and poorest attitudes I have ever dealt with. I will be reaching out to their corporate offices and all other forms of media I can. I've never had any issues with the employees working there. Food is a little more expensive but not necessarily better than other local grocery stores. Sometimes they don't have the items on sale but that is no one's fault, usually a distribution/delivery problem. I find the employees to be very accommodating and friendly. Meat and fish quality is good, produce just so/so. read more

This store is gross! Pay attention to what you buy here. The produce sucks. I have witnessed refrigeration issues like a shelf full of bacon that clearly says on the box "keep refrigerated below 40° at all times" and it's all sitting stacked on a shelf not in the fridge at all. I have reached in a fridge for something and thought it felt really warm.. and then noticed the temp at the top read over 60° in that fridge. Weeks later I noticed it was STILL like that. Why are the packages of raw chicken always dripping slimey liquid all over each other too? I've never seen this elsewhere. This store is expensive too so that makes it worse, they're charging more for no reason when the quality doesn't match the cost. It's unfortunate for me this is the closest store but I will be driving further to get to a stop and shop because this is ridiculous and I wonder how many people have gotten sick from the spoiled crap they're selling. read more

Worst grocery store I've ever been to. They never stock there shelf's, it's the only grocery store in the area so I just think they don't care. Terribly managed I guess. Every time I go there I have to go somewhere else to get about 10 items that weren't restocked, like water they are always out of cases of water. read more

God forbid you want paper bags, instead of plastic. I did not even see that they had the option, (as they didn't ask if I had a preference) until I was almost all checked out. I asked them to switch to paper, and the bagger starts just putting the plastic bags right into the paper bags, sort of defeating the purpose of using paper. Now I didn't have very many items, about 14 total, maybe 4 bags max. The cashier and the bagger both sigh, as if this is the biggest inconvenience in the world for them. Then they just start dumping my groceries upside down into the paper bags. A carton of milk, upside down, and then a 5 lb bag of sugar right on top of that. Tomatoes, on the bottom, squished next to bananas. So I ask for my items and some extra bags, and say I'll just do it myself, since they obviously are both completely incompetent at the one job that they have. They both continue to give me even MORE attitude, and mutter "WOW!", not even under their breath, but within earshot, to add insult to my injury. Um, well excuse me. Because of poor weather, I start to re-bag my items while near the exit door. A manager type person comes up, asks if I'm ok, and I'm frustrated at the experience, that should have been a pretty simple transaction, so I say no, but let him know that I will be fine. Then he asks for my number and name, saying he will call and follow up with me. Now I have no idea what kind of follow up that could be, but then the bagger comes up and gives me items I bought that they never even placed in my bag! Good thing I was still standing there! And then, there NEVER was a follow up, so I would really like to know why they bothered to write down my name and number! Seems like that was just for show! Extremely disappointed, maybe if he'd have given me a coupon, or something, or rectified the situation right there at that moment, or even done nothing at all, I would not be writing this scathing review. But the fact I was LIED to, is very upsetting, I regret giving this person my information, as there was no point in it! Don't give awful customer service, and then LIE to the customer! Really wish that Hannaford's had better service, as it's a decent grocery store, but because of the horrific customer service I received, I had to come to Yelp to give them one star. Two thumbs down, Hannaford's of Taunton, you need to do better. All I wanted was paper bags, not plastic, that really should not be that big of a deal. I feel especially violated, to be asked for my personal information and given empty promises of a follow up that never happened. Honestly, I was not expecting much, but, would like to know what happened of my name and number, that is not something I just want to be floating around. Very, very, poor customer service. A simple "paper or plastic?", at the beginning of my checkout and none of this would have ever happened. I have shopped at all the supermarkets in Taunton and around the immediate Taunton area, including Hannaford. The store itself is clean and does carry some things that other places do not carry. I do believe the all natural food section is much larger here than other places and their bakery, seafood and meats are good. My parents and I definitely buy our seafood here. The prices are decent; less expensive than some other places around. The biggest complaint I have is their lines. When they first opened their register and lines were like every other supermarket, you can keep which one to go to. After a period of time they made it so you no longer have the decision and they tell you which line to stand in. Also, they now have the Wal-Mart bag turn. I will buy cheese from their deli but I do not get my deli meats there. They have different brands from other supermarkets which may be great for some people but I am not a fan of them. I go elsewhere for that. read more

Great place to go grocery shopping. Clean, good selections, good deli, meat, and fish sections. The prices aren't the cheapest but I don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience and over all hassle free experience of shopping here. The manager is a very nice guy and can help you with anything you need. My 1st trip there today to grab a few items. Jayson in meats was very helpful recommending a substitute for skirt steak that they did not have. Made carne asada and it was amazing. I've been living in this area for 33 years, and I've shopped at every single place around, Shaws, Stop & Shop, Trucchi's & Market Basket, and how anyone in the world can tell me any of those are better than Hannafords is beyond me. First, let's get Shaws out of the way, just as expensive as Stop & Shop and when they were closing the one on Warner Blvd trying to clean the store out, their prices were still higher than Hannafords. Trucchi's is a joke, overpriced and nothing of quality to offer....and last but not least.....yes, Market Basket in Raynham....WHY would you shop there and why, why, WHY does anyone think this place is great? They have the most unfriendly staff that walk by you, never say hello or can I help you, the isles are constantly filled with people stocking shelves all times of the day, it's not very clean and always PACKED! I did a price comparison several times and Hannafords is neck and neck with Market Basket, then again, I don't buy a lot of processed food, so, Hannafords produce is better than Baskets, every employee even the checkouts all are overly friendly, they help you, ask you if you need anything, neat and knowledgeable. They have the most health and organic food of anyone except maybe Whole foods, but they're affordable. Hannafords in Taunton beats everyone by a landslide. The store is NEVER dirty. I'd go here even if they were a little more than Market Basket just because I don't feel like I'm shopping in the middle of the ghetto. To get friendly service and be in a clean store with top food is worth it. read more

Great grocery store. The produce section is great. Lots of organic choices. Reminds me of Whole Foods but with out the high prices. They also carry natural products like essential oils and some Andalou and Avalon products. The service and staff is great. Defiantly a step up from market basket or stop and shop. read more

Very solid grocery store. Very good selection of everything, more organic foods and produce than other stores, and overall very clean (looking at least). Only thing that limits a star for me is how it's set up. After being a life long Stop & Shop-er until I moved to Taunton, I expected the store to be set up similarly. Took some getting used to, and I understand why they did a lot of it, but the fact that almondmilk is in the "natural foods" section, and not with dairy, even though soymilk is with dairy is baffling to me. As is why bar mixes and soda aren't with each other. I get the soda aisle and the chip aisle being one in the same makes sense, but come on, man. That took some getting used to. read more

This has been the go to place for my family and I for a few years now. Staff is always there to help, everything is reasonably priced ( you know how that goes with any supermarket) . The manager Jerry is the nicest guy you'll ever meet he treats my family like his own. Every time we see him he's always there to greet us with a smile and a short, nice conversation. We will always continue to shop here because they've always treated us right and they have everything you need all in one place. Certainly one of those places you want to see succeed. read more
