Like all Market Basket grocery stores, this one has a good selection of produce. August 2023...almost all places have the celery close to $2 !!! Wow...that's high for a stalk of celery. But it's always good to get their weekly flyer either online or as you walk into the store to see what the deals of the week are....that will save you some money. It gets worse, no shady brook. went looking for 4c non gluten breadcrumbs no longer in market basket store. organic applesauce 6.99 trader joes organic applesauce 3.99...... market basket quality and brand names are going away. prices are even higher than hannafords. Compare people. Market Basket is price gouging and quality is poor,,,, I go elsewhere. I rater get quality at wholefoods, traderjoes or Wegmens. 2nd review. It's getting worse. Just left. Couldn't get down aisles with pallets of product everywhere. Especially bins in produce. Also I've mentioned before. Do they even train baggers how to bag? I brought my own. 6 bags. Yet they put all 10 sparkling water bottles in one. 3 bags very light. It's just awful. I've tried to tell them politely not to do that when bagging my groceries. No rhyme or reason to any of it. Front end manager is no help. I've pulled my cart right near the managers station before an reached the order. He doesn't even acknowledge it. Store is in a major decline. It's one of the original store and hasn't been upgraded. The freezers leak all over the floor, the deli has a very strange odor and the aisle's are narrow and cramped. They were suppose to remodel the store several years ago and they won't answer any emails. Seems like they are going to close it. The Raynham area customers stood with them during the family troubles and deserve a new modern store! read more

I was once a loyal shopper here, but consistent bad spoiled items have turned me to shop elsewhere. For the record its been over ten plus times I have encountered spoiled milk including day of purchase, rotten packaged strawberries hidden under good ones, moldy bread products. *All items were found moldy or spoiled day of purchase or two days after and were all well before expiry date . Their dairy department consistently has sour milk which makes me believe they don't care about leaving milk out at room temperature. Save your time and money shop elsewhere. Customer service does nothing other than exchange your items, and the exchanged items arent always fresh either. Not to mention the waste of going to the store more than once a week. read more

First and foremost, the overall atmosphere, intuitive store layout, and retail price points are fantastic. The clerk at the meat counter and the two other retailers I interacted with were perfect gentlemen. So I'll definitely be returning. However, my cashier was just plain rude. Yes, working for a grocery store can be stressful and frustrating and customers can be impossible. But his nasty facial expressions and disgruntled demeanor were uncalled for. Go home and complain on social media if your job is that bad. Also, the grocery packer seemed dazed and out of it. Again, it was the end of the day on a Sunday and Market Basket has aggressively low prices and make it back up in volume. So yeah I'm sure the day was long and felt like torture. But please, don't make a face at customers and take a rude tone. read more

There is one thing you need to know about Market Basket before going, especially this location. They get people from all over even Brockton. It is ALWAYS packed. There is never a good time to go cause there will always be people. Sometimes their credit/debit systems will crash I am assuming because of all of the traffic they get. These are things to expect. The place has great prices. You can get twice as much food at Market Basket than if you went somewhere else. Everything is always fresh cause of the amount of traffic they have going through there. read more

I drive all the way from Stoughton just to do my grocery shopping here. The lines are horrendous but in all honesty, you save a ton of money. Want examples? Gallon of Garelick Milk at Stop and Shop: $4.50 Gallon of Garelick Milk at Market Basket: $2.50 4 pack of Cabot Butter at Stop and Shop: $5.00 4 pack of Cabot Butter at Market Basket: $2.99 Orange Peppers at Shaws $4.99 a pound Orange Peppers at Market Basket $1.99 a pound 2 pounds of sausage (roughly 2 lbs) at Shaws $10.00 (no, im NOT exaggerating!) 2 pack of sausage (roughly 2 lbs) at Market Basket $2.99 (Again, not exaggerating!) YEAH! I love Market Basket. The prices are just dirt cheap for the same products you'd get at Stop & Shop or Shaws. There's usually a crowd, and the floors always seem to have piles of sawdust on the floor (cleanup in aisle five!), but who really cares? I live in Rhode Island now, but sometimes I still make the 40 minute drive to Raynham to go to the Market Basket there. read more

This Market Basket has great produce and meat sections. Snow peas in January, go figure! I like knowing I can get lamb or veal here if I want to make it. They have chorizo, and similar items that are ethnic enough that you can't get them at regular stores. Its layout is really pretty confusing, but its worth it if you're willing to dig. Its a little bit of visual overload, which can also be fun. They sell a lot of purely food-in-a-box items, prominently displayed. Like, giant cheez balls or pb pretzels. Do not misunderstand, I do not at all knock giant cheez balls and pb pretzels. In fact I love them and try not to get them because they're not exactly health food. And they do have excellent prices. I got lots of staples (sugar, flour), things I don't normally purchase (super bowl food, freeze dried green onions? neat! ), and tried a few new items (cottage cheese and fruit cups), for a very reasonable "big shop" price. though it did make me wish I was shopping for four. so don't go here if you're feeling clucky. forewarned. read more

It took me years to try this market but I have been a customer since 2014. I do wish this store was as fancy as the Brockton location. The weekends are so busy at this location so I try to go early in the week. I love the prices and selection. Bakery is great. read more

The donuts are fresh baked every morning & they are melt in your mouth, out of this world good! I often go out of my way JUST for a hot glazed donut & coffee roll!! Yum The groceries are also very fresh and the prices are unbeatable. read more

The reason i'm giving this supermarket a bad review is because when I when there around 1:00 on Saturday every employee was staring at me wierd and it made me feel really uncomfortable. The bagger was being very uncaring with my grocery when she was bagging it. I do not appreciate how the bagger's acted. read more

I love this grocery store. The prices are great. It's clean and the staff is friendly. The only downside is It's usually crowded.

GLUTEN FREE HELL! As a grocery store it's average, and always overcrowded. There's also no gluten free section, so hunting around for food takes FOREVER. But the real danger is the prepared foods! There's wheat filler in EVERYTHING!!!! Soups have wheat flour, gluten free chicken (especially wings) is cooked in THE SAME PAN as the ones with gluten. All the food is prepared on shared spaces so the ingredients and allergy labels are near meaningless!!!! And here's the real kicker.... they even put wheat filler in the rice they make sushi with!! One of the few foods that needs absolutely no gluten at all, and they somehow ruin that too! If you are gluten free stay FAR FAR AWAY from anything outside the packaged goods. read more

I am highly upset that Market Basket is so far from where I live. When ever I do big shopping Market Basket is my first stop. I love this place. It is so affordable. I go to Shaws & buy 8 things and end up spending what $65 and I have no clue on what! I can come to Market Basket & shop and shop and $200 will get me food for at least a month. The hint is to shop smart and bring those coupons from the Boston Globe trust me they help a lot. Some of the Market Basket brands you do need to watch out for but the cheese, ham chips and stuff like that are okay the fruits and veggies are a great price and things are just so much more cheaper than at stop and shop or shaws even walmart!!! Find one near you and just give it a try. I will be there happiest girl if they open one closer to my home. read more

I've been to other Market Baskets, and this one seems like the forgotten one. Aside from the rude people who seem to not give a crap about anyone else but themselves, the aisles are dirty, the layout is worth noting that the store needs a major expansion. That's not the worst part. The worst part is checking out. There are easily a dozen registers, and you're lucky is 6 are open. And the kids running them have no idea how to properly balance the load so everyone goes through fast. The amount saved isn't worth the nonsense here. I'll stick to Trucci's. read more

This store is dirty. The deli location always has a smell about it. Do not buy the deli meat they have already pre sliced in the case as it is close to expiration date on the meat that is why it is there. The management is absent from this Market Basket. I once spoke to a manager(I think his name is Steve)about a drug transaction I saw in the cereal aisle with one of his employees. When a guy leaves something on a shelf and an employee picks it up and they hand off some cash to the guy who dropped the package. One would have to wonder. Sure prices are cheap or are they. They beat all other grocery stores in the area including the wicked Walmart. The other reviews that don't like this and don't like that should do online grocery shop delivery and stay out of our way!!!! New products including a wide selection of natural/organic are constantly being introduced. For the 3rd time in a month and a half I have been shorted a bag. I called and of course nothing was reported, like that 2 times. The person who I spoke to was put out that she was even speaking to me. "Talk to a manager!" I was told. I didn't bother. That store has gone downhill, to much yapping in the deli, it takes forever....same st the cashier, this kid said 3 years...he must know someone because he would be outta there. Without a doubt, Market Basket has the best grocery prices around...they quite simply cannot be beat. However, the invariable commotion and arrogance one must go thru in order to take advantage of said low prices, is most times, not worth the headache. Big fan of Market Basket, subject though to some reservations. The closest locations for us are 20 minutes distant but as you all know, well worth the voyage. The newer stores in Brockton and West Bridgewater are fabulous, but the traffic can be deadly. Up 495 is their Bellingham store, not inconvenient but there is clearly some type of magnetic draw to which every masshole within 50 miles feels compelled to answer. Rudest shoppers on the planet. But I digress...we're here today about the Raynham store...nice people, but time to tow that one out and sink her.. It was 92 degrees today and as soon as you leave 495 heading south, the smell was absurd. Thanks to a unusual wind, that small country of a garbage dump greets you like a sewer pumping convention. All the way south past Wal-Mart, cabin filters on, you can not escape that putrid aroma of death and decay. How on earth do those people live with that ?! The market looks to be from the Eisenhower administration, with older, rusting carriages and flooring that's seen better days. The deli folks are polite, prompt, and attentive, yet I was getting a little concerned about the large and numerous files seemingly sampling my cold-cuts..the blue light zapper in the corner did little more than cast it's Kmart glow...I blame the airborne carriers of filth and pestilence on, you got it, the DUMP. It lacks the hot food section I enjoy at the newer stores, and I was amazed at how few check out lines were open (maybe 4)..but they didn't really need more. Clearly the locals are shopping elsewhere, which ought serve as a good indication of the direction this store is heading.. Far and away the best supermarket in the area. MB's prices are well below Shaw's and Stop & Shop. In the vicinity of 30% when it's all said and done. The food selections are vast including a decent ethnic offering. The Deli food is fresh and delicious. The fruits and veggies are fresh. The poultry selection / portions are sized for both large and small families. The fish selection is okay by supermarket standards. Two minor negatives. (1) MB's steaks and roast beef tend to be a bit chewy. (2) Not enough of a health food selection. read more

I love this store! Like other Market Baskets they are busy. It is worse on the weekends. Also I find if I go too early some of the sale items are not restocked yet. Also the is a limited selection of meats early in the day. The workers in the aisles are in the way, but they are also extremely helpful. The deli can get a little nuts but for those prices, I'll wait my turn, thank you Elmer! I find the cashiers and baggers in the morning much more capable than the ones I've run into later in the day. My favorite cashier is Charlene, and my favorite bagger is Gina. Unfortunately I can not always get into their lines. They will even help me if I go into 2 shopping carts. Try and work out a good time to go. I guess it all depends on the time of day. You'll love the prices! read more

I Drive all the way from Quincy for this grocery store. Grocerys I would pay 200 dollars for at Hannaford's or star market cost me 100 at Market Basket. Its always crowded but you never wait long in line and the prices are worth the hassle and the drive. i only buy grocery's elsewhere if i just need one or two things. read more

I have to concur with the earlier reviewers about how crowded the aisles are (and how clueless some of the customers are). However, the checkout lines are seldom very long in my experience. The store is very good about keeping all the lanes open during busy periods, and every lane has a bagger. Selection is very good--they carry a higher percentage of stuff I regularly buy than any other store (meaning there's a spot for it on the shelf). However, keeping it in stock is another matter. There are out-of-stock on certain items almost half the time. Finally, they are not very good at pulling outdated items from the shelves. Check expiration dates carefully when you shop there. read more
