When I got to the checkout the cashier told me that since I clipped the coupons while I was in the store that they wouldn't work . Then when I complained to management she said that I misunderstood her . I like Shaw's specials and private label brands. This chain is really good about having stuff on their shelves and if you don't see what you want, there's likely another Shaw's within driving distance. This particular store is clean and with similar layout as the other ones in the area. Shaw's at Shaw's Plaza in Raynham is my "go to" grocery store for all my needs. The personnel is extremely helpful and friendly. I find most all the items I have ever needed, and more, with very good quality. The store is clean, organized, and well-stocked. I am glad they have moved away from using plastic bags, I always bring my own. They do have paper bags, at no charge, if those are needed. read more

We use their curbside pickup. App is SUPER easy to use and make selections based on weekly deals and add coupons. When an item is out of stock- I actually get a CALL to ask if the substitution is ok. Never waited more than a few minutes in the drive up to go spots. read more

Your typical friendly neighborhood chain supermarket. I think Shaw's is the East Coast version of the West Coast Albertson's (they had similar game pieces). Staff was friendly (they even let me use their Shaw's member card since I was from out of town), the supermarket was clean, very big parking lot and not super crowded. This Shaw's also has a long aisle of organic foods for you that are into that organic stuff. read more

I grew up going to this store and it used to be good. Nowadays it seems that a lot of the employees hate working there given their attitudes. I've had some positive interactions at the deli counter and sometimes at check-out but I've also had some really negative experiences there with staff. Also the last three times I've gone into the bakery section there's flies in the donuts case. They have a decent selection of organic produce which is why I still go back on occasion. Also the other reviewers are right about the bathrooms - they are pretty gross (at least the times I've gone in there to use them) read more

Very friendly and nice staff. They have remodeled here and it looks like there's a ton of more space to move around compared to before. Prices are pretty high though, best time to go here is only when theres good sales, otherwise you will be overspending on a lot of items! I don't make it out here too much because it's always crazy traffic around this area, but if I know they have a good sale I might go out of my way to make it here. read more

Lovely staff, but the meat absolutely sucks, I picked up a couple of steaks tonight for the barbecue and the dog wouldn't even eat them, last summer I cooked ribs from there and they were rotten (seriously the meat was actually rotten) and the vegetables weren't much better, Yet I still went there hoping for improvement but not anymore, Time to find a new supermarket or give stop & shop a try, if I could give it zero Stars I would read more

I have had good experiences with Shaw's growing up, but I'm done shopping there. Recently, they started selling alcohol, and either their implementation is a mess, or their staff is vindictive and petty. My girlfriend, who is well over 21, stopped in to pick up something briefly, and was harassed because she has an out-of-state ID. She has purchased alcohol at many places in the area, restaurants, etc, and never has the ID caused an issue, but Shaw's will not accept them. Except, though, several times they did (I was told by customer service that they shouldn't have - see my remark about implementation being a mess)... but fine, okay. She left without it. Fast forward to tonight, we're both there buying groceries, including a bottle of wine and a choose-your-own six pack of craft beers. The cashier rings us up, then says she needs to see BOTH IDs. Again, has never, ever happened at any other establishment in the area. My girlfriend didn't bring her wallet, since she had no need of it. I have a problem with stupid policies, so I start to register my annoyance, and ask some questions - what about parents and kids? Well, that's okay, but the kids have to be younger than 17 (and do you ask to see THEIR IDs? How do you know they're under 17?). Do they seek proof they're the parent's children and not simply kids an adult is buying for? I ask about calling to speak with a manager concerning their restrictive and inconvenient policies - after all, this is just a cashier, and she doesn't make the rules, it isn't her fault (or so I believed at the time). I want to direct frustration where it belongs. She tells me no one would be available tonight (apparently past 8:00 no manager is in the building), and does not elaborate on when a better time would be. I pay with a card, and leave. As I'm leaving, she calls me back from the door, saying the card didn't go through. I saw it say approved, and frankly, I should have kept walking. In all likelihood, she cancelled the sale deliberately to harass us further since we took issue with their silly policies. When I came back, I put the card in, then took it out after less than a second, thinking I needed to wait for it to light up... but somehow, it magically went through. So, yeah, she was screwing with me for sure. Come to find out, this SAME cashier - an older woman of unpleasant demeanor named Stephanie - is the same one that blocked my girlfriend from purchasing before when she was on her own. I only found that out after the fact. The cashier also dropped a line about out-of-state IDs when she mentioned the ID restrictions, unprompted - apparently remembering my girlfriend, who believes - and she's not one to say this lightly - that her race may well have been a factor. I can't speak to that, but I'm quite sure she took the attitude she did because she wanted to, and very likely cancelled the sale to call me back and embarrass me. It's worth noting that at no point did she utter the word "sorry," or act in the least sympathetic. I should have just ignored her and kept on walking, because I'm not going back. I recommend you avoid it, too. read more

Not a place to go to if you have explosive diarrhea. The bathrooms are atrocious. You can smell the feces and urine near the registers. The smell is overwhelming. Now the positives: the chicken wing bar is pretty decent. I like to eat their chicken wings in the parking lot like a city rat; just going to town on them. read more

Just went to Shaws in Raynham to order a turkey for Thanksgiving. Jose (meat dept) couldn't have been more friendly or cooperative. Trying a new recipe this year, boneless turkey. When I asked if the meat Dept would debone a turkey he said "absolutely we can have that for you." No fuss, no muss!!! I always have good luck at Shaw's!! read more

I have never had a pleasant experience, but today was the worst. I bought a lobster and while I know everyone has their opinions the cashier had NO right to voice hers against me to the person behind me. She barely spoke to me and she kept saying how she could never do such a thing to the customer behind me. I will never return to this location. That one cashier finalized that I will not be returning. We are all entitled to our opinion, but she stepped over the line. read more

This place is amazing. I come to this store at least 3 times a week. I love to look at all of the food and other items. But their is one worker who just wowed me with his work. If I remember correctly his name was Bryan Wahl. I was lost one day and could not find the cereal section. But out of nowhere a worker asked me if I had any questions. Apparently the deli slicer is broken. This is a known issue yet has not been addressed or fixed. This issue was not brought to my attention by staff it was me who had asked because the last time I had gone I came home to thick thick slices. I asked to see how think it was this time to make sure and the explanation I was given was that the slicer can only so certain sizes and that its has been broken but no one has fixed it. Shaws fix your equipment. I dont appreciate paying $6 for 15 slices of cheese nor do I like the consistency!!!!! read more
