We came here specifically for the lobster. We loved it that the deli steams the lobster for you! Can't beat the price if you are looking for more affordable lobster to eat. We bought five lobsters for around $67. You wait for about 30 minutes if you want it steamed. After we got the cooked lobster, we drove an hour to a picnic place to eat it. Love Lynn the butcher she is the best and spot on with suggestions. The deli employees are very friendly. I believe Dean is the person we usually get. I could have the name wrong. I do not use the pharmacy so I can't offer any opinion on that. Veggies are always fresh. They offer a variety of veggies and fruit from local farmers. The parking lot is busy and a little scary at times which is my only complaint. But the parking is for the whole plaza. Many people think it's s little pricey but I think with sales the price evens out and is comparable to other stores. read more

When you compare this location to other Hannaford locations, you realize that the Middleboro location is Hannaford Lite. It's smaller and just dingy looking in comparison. That being said, it seems to be clean, just not the newer format with pretty produce displays, etc. The problem I had recently was that I purchased some pork, that when I got home and opened, made my nose want to melt off of my face. It was obviously bad and well before the sell by date. No problem, because a. that never happens here and b. Hannaford has a double your money back guarantee. I got back in the car, went back and got to the service desk immediately because I had bought this for dinner. I was barely greeted and when I explained that the meat was not anything close to resembling fresh, the guy behind the counter just proceeded to give me my money back. At bare minimum, I would have appreciated a "I'm sorry that happened" or something similar before plopping some money back in my hand, to at least make me want to replace it with something else. I did go back to the meat department because it was getting late and I didn't want to go to another store, I just wanted to get dinner started. I explained my situation to an older lady behind the meat case and she offered to freshly cut what I had wanted originally. She even let me smell it before wrapping it. So the meat clerk saved a sale and I was happy. The only other awful thing about this location is the parking lot, but that can be a gripe for another day. read more

This is closest grocery store to my home and my family has been coming here for years. The name and selection has changed many times over the past decade. Thinking back I can remember it being both "Super Place" and "Victory" to now being "Hannaford". It seems to be staffed predominantly by Middleboro High School. The selection is always great, especially in the produce and deli sections. The bakery is sometimes lacking, only having chocolate cakes and not having any selection of gold or vanilla. The checkout is always a hassle. It appears to be Black Friday in here ever night. There never seems to be enough cashiers and the "Self-Check-Out" aisles are rarely open, which would allow for so much faster check-out. Usually when I'm waiting in line for 20ish minutes to pay for my groceries, I can spot the manager with hands on their hips watching over everything. I've worked in retail environments before and the best managers are the ones that jump in and help out when they're needed. read more

If it were 2 months ago (February, 2020) I would've given this market 4 stars; good meat counter, good deli, good selection of items etc. However, today (April 8, 2020) I spoke to the manager about the lack of employees using face masks, or gloves during the peak of the Corona Virus pandemic, and he responded telling me it was voluntary. I suppose I could have satisfied with that response even a couple of weeks ago, but now it's clear that one of the greatest risks we all take is going grocery shopping, both because of the number of people in close proximity, but also because of the exposure all the market's employees have to the hundreds of customers who pass through the market everyday. It seems to me requiring employees to wear something to cover their faces would be a minimum requirement with very little inconvenience compared to the consequences. Incidentally, approximately 90% of the customers were taking precautions, it's just too bad Hannaford's doesn't choose to take better care of their employees and their customers. Love the organic offerings here. Also like the seafood! Probably the best meat you can get unless you purchase from a butcher shop or slaughter house. Wish they had more grass fed beef offerings. Also don't care for the self check outs. Spending good money, I prefer to have customer convenience and have people employed. read more

If you're looking for organic items, this is a much better place to go than Shaw's or Stop and Shop though you will pay a lot more for almost everything. The natural food section has grown quite a bit. This is my go to place as it's the closest place to me with a halfway decent organic selection. read more

Place is great for small local grocery store. Trader Joes or Whole Foods it is not. However, it is a big step up from Stop and Shop and Market Basket. read more
