The food and service was just what I've been missing post Covid! My husband and I both had a tasty version of the ribeye. I enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes and he loved his Parmesan fries. The prices are reasonable for the level of service and the quality of food you receive. read more

This place is always a hit. I went with family members after a wedding, reservations were quickly observed (we waited about 5-10 minutes). The reservation was for 8pm, but it seems the now close at 8:30 (doesn't make too much sense to me). Our waitress was professional but at times anxious to take our order. Drinks were good, but asked waitress could I get another one with extra alcohol, she responded no, that's how they come (no offering a shot or any other options). I will return but think you all need to do the following: not take reservations 30 minutes before closing, we felt rushed and inform you waitresses about options from the bar. Thanks read more

Went for lunch with my husband. We had never been to this restaurant before. It's beautifully decorated inside and very trendy atmosphere. Really loved the soft ethereal music. Lighting was soft and pleasant. We love to pick two entrees and then split so he ordered the fish tacos which were delicious cod, avocado and a nice spicy aioli. I had the Steakhouse Burger with Gruyere and caramelized onions. This was absolutely the best tasting burger we have had in the Maryland area. Our service was also excellent. Marti took great care of us. He chatted a bit towards the end of the meal and made our lunch very pleasant. read more

The food and service here is undeniably TOP NOTCH! If you like a good steak, I advise you to come here. Several cuts, steak toppers and other great things to eat. The sides are also to die for! I ordered a few mojitos this time and they were literally the best I've had since a trip to Miami a few years back. I haven't been here in a while, and I could just kick myself for that, but I'm so glad they're just as good as I remember. Go ahead and treat yourself to a well deserved steak dinner! read more

I love everything about this place...except the steaks. And that's kinda relevant, I'll give you that, but seriously, if you don't care about the protein, this place is definitely worth a visit. Capacious dining room that's not too loud, small but officious bar area, wonderful fire place in the winter, solid wine by the glass list, etc. Look, it's not a "steakhouse" kind of rib eye...it's barely over half the thickness of what you would expect. And I kid you not, they have NEVER gotten the temperature right. Just had a manager come by and say "order everything medium plus". that means literally the next step is medium well...ever heard a place that takes pride in their steaks recommend THAT? Yeah, didn't think so. You want a kinda cool steakhouse experience, come to Stoney River and check it out. You want a STEAK? Lewnes...even Ruth's Criss, way, way, way before Stoney River. read more

I've been to this establishment twice. Each time it never disappoints. My friend kept raving about this place and I frequent Annapolis mall so I thought I'd give this place a try. The service is wonderful, you can really tell they're all about teamwork. Different servers would stop by to make sure I did not need anything. As far as the food, it's absolutely amazing. My friend loves Mac n cheese and I was pleasantly surprised once it arrived. Very few restaurants know how to execute Mac n cheese. I ordered the au gratin which was amaze balls. The only flaw was the crime brûlée was a bit runny. I definitely look forward to my next visit. read more

I had no idea that Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill was a chain-restaurant. Even more impressive was the fact that when you walk in the restaurant, it does not feel like it's part of the Westfield Annapolis Mall! I have personally dined at Stoney River twice. Once with a friend and once with my wife. Both times, I have dined in the bar area and specifically at the bar. Both times were good experiences. The most recent visit was on a Sunday for lunch after my wife and I got our nails done (men can get pedicures too lol). When you walk into Stoney River from the mall entrance, it is a little odd because you have to walk through the dining area to get to the host stand. There is a sign that tells you what to do, but it's odd. I think it would be nicer if there was a stand at both ends, but that's just me and a pet peeve. When we grabbed seats at the bar, we were greeted right away and we ordered our drinks. My wife ordered a glass of cabernet and I ordered a Moscow Mule. Both drinks were fine but I'm picky on my Moscow Mules and for such a popular drink as of late, they should have Copper Mugs to serve them from. My wife ordered a caesar salad with chicken and I ordered a cup of the French Onion Soup and the Germantown Chicken Sandwich. Both of our meals were delicious! The bartender recommended to get my sandwich and add jalapeños to it and it was the best! I would definitely order that again. While I did not order a steak in the steakhouse, I have tried their filet mignon once before and it was delicious and well priced. The service was great both times I have dined in and overall the experience was very enjoyable. If you're in the mall and want to have a GREAT meal and not feel like you're in the mall, be sure to try Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill. I will surely be back. read more

Food was well prepared and service was great. I have nothing else to add to my review

Short and delicious review ^_^ I've been here numerous of times with my family for dinner. I normally order the prime rib (medium well) with twiced baked potatoes with a house salad. The Stoney River house salad is to die for, especially with the fresh baked bread they bring you before your food comes out. I mean wow, the service here is amazing; they're attentive to your every need. The atmosphere is very nice and romantic; this place would be great for a date. The fire place seating is great for a larger group of people. Just make sure you have enough money to cover both lol. I'm actually coming here tonight for my sister late birthday dinner. I will post pictures if I haven't done so already. read more

One of the best meals I've had in some time. I was alone on a business trip for my birthday, so I decided to treat myself to something a little better than the usual. I ordered a glass of wine at the bar and opted for the 7 oz center cut sirloin and au gratin potatoes. First, let me just say that the poppyseed rolls are incredible. They taste like little heavenly donuts with butter. That started the whole meal off right. Second, my steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had so much flavor. The au gratin potatoes were also melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. What else could you ask for? I looked up their other locations and saw that the closest one to me is in San Antonio. I guess I'll be making a road trip soon! read more

SATISFIED!!! It was so good. We love this steakhouse. We haven't been in a while because date nights are few and far between, but this did not disappoint. Deviled eggs were yummy!! The crunchy bacon gave it a nice chrunch. Definitely a must try. We ordered the French onion soup. It was delicious and hot. My husband and I both ordered the Ribeye. He ordered the Cowboy cut. Cooked to perfection. The seasoning was great. Compliments to the chef. Everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and fresh. It all tasted great. Everything you want when you are dining out. The chef checked on us twice to make sure everything was cooked properly. A first for us at this restaurant. Thumbs up. Highly recommended and we will be back. read more

I am a frequent diner at Stoney River and have had several good experiences. I have recommended to several friends and family who also thoroughly love this place. However, my last visit will more than likely be my LAST visit if you catch my drift. I threw a dinner party at the establishment for my Mother's Birthday had an estimated amount of people only half showed up, my party ordered more than our minimum and the GM of the establishment quite frankly showed her dismissive behind to my party. She had an issue with the fact that we ordered over our minimum essentially. That we were stressing out her cooking staff still I don't understand how bc if all of my guest had shown it would've been the same amount ordered. Our food arrived 15 minutes before our party time was over and instead of being courteous enough to extend our time by 30 minutes to allow our guest to at least eat as the food at the establishment but instead every meal that came into our room it was immediately packaged so we could leave, or as we were told they would call the police on us. To have a 1600 minimum and the party spends over 2000 and to be treated like trash is just completely inexcusable. We requested to speak to the GM not once did she come to our room to acknowledge us, the one guest that did speak to her she dismissed. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the food in undeniably tasty and the Event Coordinator Opal and our waitress Lenae were wonderful and apologetic because Samantha was completely inhospitable in the business of customer service. Unfortunately I won't be back. read more

We stumbled onto Stoney River while shopping at the mall. Tired and hungry we decided to give it a try. Surprise, surprise... This place has top notch service. They made me feel like the Queen of England from the moment we walked in the door. My meal consisted of the Trio of Filet Medallions with au gratin potatoes (yesssss) and a glass of Meiomi. The food was hot(!) and delicious. That steak was so tender I could've eaten it with a spoon. The "bread" was more like dessert and the cinnamon butter was the best part. I will definitely be back. read more

Stony River is an all-time favorite! I've been several times and absolutely LOVE it! The whiskey shrimp is yummy (even better to sop up the sauce with their tasty rolls)! On a very busy Saturday night we had reservations for a very busy time of 7 pm for 2 - while there is an understanding of being busy there is an equal understanding that you should be seated within 30 minutes of that reservation. It took 40 minutes before we were seated, and on top of that we were sat at a table for 6 - rather awkwardly large but perhaps their best try to getting us seated after I inquired 25 minutes into our wait after checking in initially. The bread rolls were divine, simply put - delectably sweet dinner rolls. The cocktails were overly sweet, though branding on to the orange peel was a nifty addition. The deviled eggs were decent, but not something to write home about. The steak was cooked to a medium rare, but again wasn't memorable. The fries were quite nice and we polished them off promptly. Crispy, salty, nicely seasoned - reminded me of an upscale McDonald's french fry (which isn't a bad thing). The swordfish steak was again cooked well, seasoned properly and the sides it came with were a tad over salted. Overall not a bad experience, but for the price point I'd have to stick it at average. read more

Yes, yes, yes!!! Stoney River is sure to tantalize your every taste bud. From the moment we walked in, every server pleasantly greeted us. Our server did a terrific job making sure our food was hot and served quickly. The General Manager stopped by our table to ensure we were having a terrific experience. We had a great start to our evening. Now to talk about the food... We were hungry so for starters we had the tuna roll, whiskey shrimp, lobster bisque and onion soup. (Greedy - I know!) Followed by the house salad. We then indulged on our main courses: bone in cowboy ribeye, NY strip, steak and fries with Oscar topping. Side items included loaded baked potatoes, creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole (absolutely divine)! Everything was absolutely delish! The food was hot, our meals were cooked to our requested specifications. I would be remissed if I didn't tell you about the drinks, good wine selection and excellent strong drinks. Our meal extravaganza cost us $220 (for 4). A little pricey but we'll worth it. We will definitely go back and next time we are sitting by the fireplace in the sofa seating! read more

We ate there last night, and man, Saturday night is a busy night for them! We checked and were told it was an hour wait. We were seated in just under an hour and everyone apologized, which was nice but not necessary since we were seated within our expectation. Of course after ordering it took ONE HOUR FOR OUR FOOD TO ARRIVE. We weren't in a hurry but still...Our waiter Adam came by regularly and at about the 30 minute mark, he said it was coming soon. At the 45 minute mark Adam apologized and said the kitchen was backed up. The food was good. My prime rib was tender and flavorful, and the baked potato really was delicious (Adam's recommendation)--even with just butter and bacon. And the broccoli was huge, perfectly steamed and with no butter just how I like it. My husband was less impressed with the trio of medallions but he's not sure if it was him or the dish. He thought the bleu cheese crust (really a topping and not a crust) was odd. He thought the garlic mashed potatoes were okay. The key lime pie is house made but I like mine more tart than sweet. Adam, our waiter, was nice and paid just the right amount of attention. Would definitely eat there again--just maybe not at prime time on Saturday nite! read more

We went for a nice dinner for New Years Eve. We have been here before and never had any issues. We made a reservation for 5:45pm- were seated fairly quickly at our table. Waitress comes over we order drinks and ask for cocktail menu, approx 5-6 minutes she returned with it. We order drinks and food, approx 10 minutes later waitress comes back to ask clarification on his steak size, he had told her when we put our order in. Waitress come by says our food will only be a bit more- only 2 of us so not a huge order for the table. 30 minutes goes by and she brings us the small bread dishout, says food will be right up. We sat there for another 10 minutes or so and waitress comes back and says the food is taking longer than expected because the kitchen had too many To Go orders- by this time we had been sitting for 1 hour and 30 minutes and only had drinks and the small bread. I asked for the check and to speak to the manager. There was another couple that came in right after us had the same waitress and they had their food and were gone well before I requested our check. The manager never came to speak with me, waitress brought the check VERY promptly with no apologies regarding the food never coming. I sat there another 15 minutes waiting on the manager after another waiter asked if I needed something. All in all we never got our food and no one seemed to care. We will not be returning to eat here. I walked out and they had cars lined up out front for the To Go orders - one family had been waiting for an hour for their food to be brought out. They should have capped the To Go Orders to accommodate the patrons who made the reservations if the kitchen couldn't handle the orders. Very disappointed in the service and that the atmosphere was of that no one was important and they just want your money. read more

Ok so I don't know why this was my first time here?!!! I love this place. First off the option to sit at the bar with the glass dividers is a great idea. The server wore a mask and had great service. We ordered a mojito and a mule they were really tasty and well made. Honestly the glasses were a little small for $11-13 drinks but hey I guess the flavor was worth it. The "bread" they give you was warm with a side of whipped honey butter, so delicious. We had calamari for an appetizer and it was cooked to perfection and hot when we got it no chewy pieces and perfectly cooked as well. I ordered the baby back ribs which came with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were tender and well seasoned. I actually ate half then and ate the rest that night. At the servers suggestion my husband ordered the filet with the one potato loaded baked potato he also said his was seasoned and juicy. He also had enough to take home and eat later as well. The plates had good amount a little expensive but worth every penny in my opinion. We have to go here again! read more

First time here and it didn't disappoint!! We were celebrating our friend's birthday and she wanted prime rib. We arrived for our reservation and they took us to our table promptly. Our waiter, Hunter, was great, attending to every need and more. The food was absolutely delicious!! Atmosphere, on point!! First let me start by saying, if you are like me your first thought without going in was 'a steakhouse, at the mall? And you expect me to think it's good?' DO NOT JUDGE IT BASED ON BEING IN THE MALL! Stoney River has become our go to for special occasions such as anniversaries or holidays, it never lets us down. Price point wise, for two people who order steaks, an extra side, an appetizer and 2 drinks, you can expect to drop $110-$150 easily. The steak always comes out to order and the service has always been superb. The last time we went for my birthday we ordered the Gouda Mac and cheese and it was possibly the best Mac and cheese I have had, very unique flavor. If you enjoy blue cheese on your steak, get yours blue cheese encrusted, you won't be disappointed. No need for steak sauce here! The rolls they give at the beginning of the meal are also delicious, they have a sweetness to them that makes it hard to stop at one. We would not hesitate to recommend Stoney River to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience. read more

My fiancé and I went to Stoney River for the first time on Mon Oct 11, 2021. My fiancé ordered the Cowboy Ribeye & Parmesan fries. I ordered the Bistro Chicken. The chicken was super salty. I sent it back immediately. I ordered the salmon as a replacement. My fiancé shared his steak with me. His glass of water had a wonderful surprise in an ice cube.(Picture below)The fries were cold, soggy and greasy. My salmon came after the bill was paid. I definitely wasn't hungry anymore. Gave the salmon, asparagus & augratin potatoes to my nieces. They enjoyed it. The restaurant only had about 3 tables of people yet the food came out the kitchen super slow. No manager came over to address any of our concerns. You only get 1 chance to make a great 1st impression. The stars are for our waitress Diana who was great and keep apologizing for the kitchen being so slow. And the steak was really good. We would like to give this place another try, maybe after the ice machine is thoroughly cleaned. read more

We arrived early evening on a Saturday. There was a 70 minute wait for our party of two. Not a big deal since it's in the mall. When our table was ready we were seated at the Chef's Table which was interesting. We were able to see right into the kitchen and it was also some what of a "prep" station for staff, so at any given time ppl were folding napkins in front of us/prepping place settings, or yelling over us to another staff member in the min dining space. Our wine was great and the calamari appetizer delicious, I was hopeful. I ordered a ribeye- medium- it arrived well done and super tough. We had other plans and needed to leave soon, so I did not send my steak back, which I now regret! My side (mashed sweet potatoes) were really good, but the steak was a disappointment! My husband had biscuits and steak, which I imagined would be a "juicy" meal with some type of gravy or sauce around it... nope, it was dry and looked kind of sad. He had to ask for steak sauce. If you need sauce, the steak needs work! Would return for happy hour and possibly another appetizer, but will pass on the steaks. read more

My fiancé and I went to celebrate our Anniversary this evening, and we loved it! I love food and we are constantly trying new restaurants and looking for places that make us come back. I am very critical and want what I pay for. This restaurant instantly became our favorite in a matter of minutes. The service was great, and everyone we encountered was polite and professional. Our waitress was on top of every tiny detail and we truly felt like royalty. Every bite of food was phenomenal. We had the Whiskey Shrimp as a starter and was tempted to get another round when we reminded ourselves we had an entire meal to eat! Our steaks were cooked beautifully, and tasted perfect. Our sides were just as appetizing. The Au Gratin potatoes took a unique twist and the Mac and cheese was deliciously cheesy. Our alcoholic beverages were what we paid for! Truly packing the punch of fine liquor. We finished with a chocolate cake with ice cream to share. As we dined, I tried to think of something I didn't enjoy but the truth is I don't have a single complaint. To top it off we were congratulated on our Anniversary by several people and then my fiancé and I toasted with some complimentary champagne. It made us feel welcome with open arms. We will be back very soon! PS. The menu is pricey, but is worth every single penny. read more

I had not been to Stoney River in a few years, and I eat out at steak restaurants on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I now remember why I haven't been there in years. I had a filet. It was dry, not cooked at a medium temperature as I requested. (I honestly think my plate was for someone else..no joke) I also ordered smothered onions, bernaise sauce with the steak, and Obrien Potatoes. I was served a well done steak with a full plate of Broccoli! I hate broccoli! The waiter said he forgot about the onions, the Obrien potatoes and the bernaise sauce. Needless to say, the onions and bernaise sauce came about 30 minutes after my steak so the steak had been eaten by then. (if I were to have waited, the steak would have been cold). The potatoes came out about 15 minutes after my steak so at least I had that. Really disappointed in this place as I try to support as many high-end restaurants as I can in my community but honestly, I can excuse the lack of service by the waiter but not the unacceptable quality of the food. I probably won't be back anytime soon. read more

For a restaurant attached to the mall, it had a very nice interior. My food was fine, but for the price that we paid I expected better. I got the whiskey shrimp on toast points, which tasted okay but was served lukewarm. For my entree I tried the tenderloin steak salad which was okay too. The steak was cooked well but the greens were drowned in salad dressing. My companions really enjoyed their steaks so that seems to be their strong point. read more
