Visited the Stonegate Cafe today after it went under new ownership. The staff was friendly and told me take any open seat. A waitress, not my waitress took my drink order which consisted of a coffee and water.. I only got a cup of coffee!. Tried to order and was promptly told she was not my waitress and I needed to wait for the other waitress. Finally got to order after waiting another 10-15 minutes. Everything was going kinda okay. Asked for some silverware. After waiting another 30 minutes with no food, coffee empty and no silverware my order arrived only to find out it was for the guy sitting behind me who arrived 15 minutes after I sat down. The waitress said she accidentally grabbed the wrong order and would immediately get my order. Ten minutes later no food, but my coffee finally got refilled! I guess I gaining somehow. After another 10 minutes I finally got so frustrated that I left, leaving 5 dollars to cover the cost of the coffee, but did not receive the breakfast I ordered! I vowed to myself to never ever return to this incompetent restaurant! This establishment, under new ownership the last several months, has gone completely downhill! After reading the reviews that have been posted over the last several months show an alarming trend! This establishment is doomed! Thanks for wasted an hour of my time today. I never write reviews but thought I would after our dinner last night. We really appreciate having a new cafe in Parker and we want to go back to try breakfast to see if it's any better. Our dinner experience was not the greatest. For a Friday evening there were only about 3 other parties eating at 7 p.m. Their menu offers among other things mexican food. So, I tried the tacos plate. First thing I noticed was the iced tea we ordered tasted old. So I asked for a Pepsi instead. The beef tacos were actually made up of more like a beef roast and it was so dried out I almost sent it back and should have. Pouring hot sauce on it helped. The beans and rice were better. The service was ok though we were never asked if we wanted refills of our soft drinks. The entire time there were 3-4 employees seated at a back table talking. It always bothers me when restaurant employees take their break in the open like that. In between the waitresses serving customers they would go and sit down too. I only write this because I want the place to succeed. I've really been concerned with the large number of restaurants closing down. But when the place isn't busy I feel like it's an opportunity for the owners to make sure everyone being served is getting the best food possible. I will say the prices seemed very good. That's why I'm hoping they can keep this place going. But without a more personable feeling about the place and better attention to food quality there is just no way. Really, if I had just opened a new neighborhood cafe in a tight knit community, as the owner, I'd be standing at the front door greeting each and every new customer and making them feel welcomed. Wow, great food and service. The best french toast I have ever eaten. Also ate lunch that was a very tasty gyros plate. Lets not forget very affordable and fast service. Will definitely be back many more times. Lets give them our patronage and keep them going. Update 7/11/2016: This place has really gone downhill. Found hair in the French toast, GAG! The cook cannot "cook" eggs correctly, no matter how I order them, runny scrambled eggs, runny whites, when suppose to be over medium. Delicious food and great service. I recommend any of the breakfasts (which they serve all day long), especially the skillets and the salmon benedict with homemade hollandaise. The burgers are thick and juicy, and cooked just the way you like. I get mine with cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce. And they have great gyros and the best chili rellenos I've ever eaten. I've been a regular since the day they opened, and the menu is so varied, I never run out of options. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and the family that runs the restaurant are very conscientious and caring. This is the kind of locally owned establishment you like to see succeed, and with such great tasting food and terrific service, I think they'll become one of Parker's landmark restaurants. read more

Yelp and Google really let us down on this one. My husband was craving French toast so I headed right to Google. We stumbled across the StoneGate Café, which had pretty amazing reviews. Everyone kept raving about how amazing the French toast was. Off we went. My husband ordered two of the early bird specials (he just couldn't decide): the French toast and the biscuits and gravy. I ordered a spinach egg white omelet. Our waitress seemed depressed, the food was luke warm at best, and my omelet was DRENCHED in olive oil. Not only that but after we left we didn't feel very good. This was a complete disappointment; don't let the reviews fool you on this one. We walked down to the French Bakery La Baguette de Normandy and grabbed a pastry after. That place is authentic and amazing. It also serves breakfast; you are better off going there. I'm about to leave them a stellar review this very moment. read more

Best breakfast in town! I love this place. I was taken here by a coworker once for lunch and was impressed with the excellent service, great prices and good food. I decided to go back for breakfast and have only gone there for breakfast ever since. The french toast is freakin' amazing. I dig me some french toast, and this is seriously the best I've ever had. The mark of a really great restaurant is how they handle things when they are absolutely slammed with a much bigger crowd than normal. This morning which is Father's Day, my wife and I ate breakfast at the Stonegate Café. Kudos to BuddyLee and his entire staff for the outstanding effort to get everyone seated and fed. Our server Ari took really good care of us and kept the coffee coming. Everyone including managers pitched in and helped keep things moving in a calm and orderly manner. It was good to see busy people working hard and smiling and taking time to talk to the customers. The enthusiasm of the staff made for a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy breakfast. I didn't think you could ruin a Sunday casual breakfast, but this place did. I expected a short wait and wasn't bothered by that. I was disturbed, however, by the staff encouraging waiting patrons to stalk tables where people finished eating to bully them into paying and leaving fast. This couple seemed to be enjoying a pleasant conversation over coffee and rolls and did not deserve the waitstaff and customers aggressively marching around them, referring to them in open conversation as 'oblivious' for not leaving. The customers wanted their table to push together with another table to accommodate their party of 8. This is a super small place with tables for 4 only. These customers didn't deserve this treatment, especially considering how expensive the menu items are. My ten year old daughters and I ordered two short stack pancakes, a scrambled egg, the huevos rancheros (which was bland and came with canned beans), juice and iced tea. The bill before tip was $42! Our waitress brought us our tab at the same time she set down the food, and stopped by three times asking if we wanted boxes when we were still just trying to enjoy our meal. I was really disappointed in this local cafe that has the potential of being special...but it wasn't even mediocre. read more

Although Stonegate Cafe is not in the best location it is centrally located. The people were exceptionally nice and friendly. The gyro was authentic and delicious. Onion rings were heavenly. I've been multiple times, but probably not going back after this last experience. We ordered our meal, they apparently didn't tell the cooks that. The 3 tables around us sat down after we ordered, and all finished eating before our food came out. After a 38 minute wait for breakfast, they messed up my omelette. I sent it back, they took my entire plate. 10 minuets later, I got my same hash browns-now cold, and still with the jelly my kid put on it-and a new omelette even more wrong. Rather than wait forever I just ate a terrible omelette that was not what I ordered, except for the egg part. My husband and I love this place. We used to order from them all the time for our staff meetings for our office, however we switched locations and now work further away. Any business that talks about customers a few feet away from them and treats them like dirt and a business that is accepting of this behavior, is no place we will be going back too. During the two times I've been here previously, the food was okay. However, this morning, my girlfriend and I went here for a late Sunday breakfast, and we were greeted by the hipster host in an extremely condescending manner. It was so bad that the people waiting next to us had shocked looks on their faces. Additionally, we were told that the wait would be 20+ minutes, yet there were multiple open tables. Clearly the managment needs to improve their process and staff. It didn't really matter what the wait was. I would never eat here again. When we first entered the restaurant you aren't greeted by anyone and I hate when you come into a place of business and don't know if you seat yourself or not. Finally, someone behind the register told us to grab a seat anywhere. So we did, but then we had to grab our own menus as well. Not a big deal, but a simple sign could suffice like "please seat yourself and grab a menu" I don't appreciate being shouted at by someone on the other side of the restaurant. The waitress was okay, nothing special. The food was awful. My food tasted like it was made from a package, like a McCormick spice package which wasn't what I was expecting considering the other reviews.. My food was warm, but lacked quality and freshness. My husbands plate looked like it had already been digested, when they put the food in front of us I thought -hmm this doesn't look good. We left feeling terrible with a sour feeling in our stomachs. Not very impressed. Restaurant was 1/4 full took 45 minutes to get our food. The triple layer grilled cheese was a joke (received a kiddie portion) my husbands meal was prefaced at toast and potatoes he only received toast.
