Incredibly noisy, lots of kitchen noise, exhaust fans, clanking pans, so I guess they play the radio music to try and drown it out. The clientel has to talk loud to hear each other at their table which adds to the cacophony. The menu is large but complicated and you are expected to order as you walk in the door, kinda like a dressed up McDonald's. Our mid afternoon visit found lots of staff milling around, shouting out to each other across the large dining area. Food was ok but I won't be going back. read more

are you supposed to tip at these types of places ? & how much? you order your food at the reg fast food style & then take your #card to the table (you seat yourself) then get your own drink out of a lidded paper cup then wait for an emp to bring your food.. like carls jr) anyway.. the food is super delicioso & super not healthy. this was bday dinner #2 for me so i dont know how much the bill was. but i did look at the menu. its kinda like buca di beppo in which the menu will suggest which size will be enough for 2 or for 4, etc. 3 adults 2 kids: 1package of half a chicken (greasy & definitely not raw. delicioso) alongside a slab of ribs (mucho delicioso. fell off the damn bone. & guess who took all those bones to-go? moi.. for mi perrito..) then ala carte tri tip. (so damn good. not that joicy.. but still good) & 1 side of mashers (w/scallions as a garnish. not into it, but still cheesy goodness) 1 side of grilled vegs (skip this grease pot) basket of quasi olive garden bread stix 1 house salad .. we headed over to this new place to celebrate father's day as we love us a good bbq experience. the location is the old baker's square and the layout and design are great even though most people didn't seem to understand the whole order-first-and-then-just-find-a-seat procedure. this is fairly common in the newer bbq joints and it makes it much faster people! you could have a huge crowd of people but this way of ordering moves everything along very quickly. the seats were great and out booth was very, very comfortable for the 7 of us. anyhow, the meals seemed like the standard set up and all even though caesar salad isn't typical bbq fare. the slaw was unique looking but its flavor didn't match. the beans were ranch style and just ok. i think the flavoring of the baby back ribs and tri tip were decent but definitely not something that "wow"ed us compared to other bbqs. it's good food and i don't envision any future quality issues since it seems like a chain or something. even the bbq sauce was just typical. they could've dressed up the plates better in way of garnish or something as everything that came out looked really small in the platings that were used. a big thing they lacked was some kind of handwipes/handwashing station which shows they're just trying to be the tgif's of the bbq world instead of a real bbq joint. that's not a knock though as people will like that type of experience too. in fact, the place was packed by the time we left which leads me to believe parking will be an issue for them. the staff were very eager to help and very nice. the asian dude w/ spikey hair this afternoon was super hospitable and helpful so hopefully that's something that the ownership values and fosters. read more

Caesar salad was excessively garlicky for my taste. Ribs and tri tip were served about room temperature. Not sure if this is normal for this place. I grew up not wasting food so I finished what I ordered. Tri tip was moist and tender. The butter didn't melt at all, so I knew it came out cold. Garlic bread was really good. Not sure about this place. Don't know if it is psychological due to the temperature of the food, but I feel a little nauseous. My family and I Order from here quite frequently. I love their salads, but the customer service on my visit today was piss poor. The woman named Ashley took our order and not only was she unresponsive when I asked her questions, but she acted like she was impatient when she took our order. Stonefire did my catering for my wedding this past Saturday and it was indeed perfection! The staff was extremely helpful, nice, and efficient. Everyone at the wedding loved the food and plan to find the nearest Stonefire near them. The catering office staff was on top of it by updating me with timelines and quotes. I didn't love this place, but it was not as bad as some of the reviews made this place out to be. Food wasn't bad. I had lemon garlic salmon and my husband had galic pepper tri tip. My salmon was very moist and tasty but that's probably because it was poached in oil. When they say garlic, they are not kidding! There were chunks and chunks of garlic on the salmon. Tri tip was very tender, unlike some of the reviews, but it wasn't incredible. Caesar salad definitely had a lot of flavor (a lot of dressing). Portions here are huge so I think we could've ordered just one dish and it would've been enough for us. By the way, the stimulus package only works for a take out dinner. So we couldn't use our coupon. boo! read more

The bbq tri-tip was delicious. I wasn't even interested in getting tri-tip, I usually don't like it. But it was excellent. What I was interested in was the chicken, but I didn't like very much. Neither the bbq nor the lemon-garlic chicken were very good. They were too dry. My family really liked the ribs. The mash potatoes and beans were also very good. My only other complaint was that the trash bin about 100 feet from the front door smelled so bad we could even smell it from the front door while we waited outside for a half hour on a busy father's day. Had the food not been so good, it would've ruined the day. But in the end it does deserve 5 stars based on the tri-tip alone. read more

Great quality food! I love their salads and their meats are great! Everything is cooked very perfectly and portions on the salad are very good. I don't know if you would get full off the meat platters however if you are sharing with someone and get a meat platter and salad...that should be enough. read more

Me and friend tried this restuarant the other day and we both were highly impressed. The service was great, the prices were cheap(I would have paid a lot more) and the food was even better.We tried the bbq tri tip and the garlic tri tip both were good but the bbq was much better it was the best tri tip I have ever had it melted in your mouth it was so tender. The ribs were good and the bread sticks were amazing I had to order more just to take some home. I higly recomoned this restuarant and Im thinking about going there tonight to try the pizza. read more

I like the environment here. It's relaxed - food is prepped quickly and you serve and seat yourself. The drinks (non-alcoholic) here are pretty generic, and the food isn't terribly unique or anything, but it's quick, easy, and tastes good. read more

I went here today and it was at best mediocre !! The food was BARELY WARM and quickly became cold ! I ordered a rack of ribs and the tri-tip with mashed potatoes and cowboy beans. The potatoes looked like they were recooked and had crunchy bits in them. The beans had little flavor and weren't very warm when they came out. We had breadsticks which were the most satisfying part of the meal. However they weren't very good either. All in all you'd be better off driving to Bludso's in Hollywood to get worthwhile barbecue. .... I will NEVER come back and never recommend . read more

I ordered my food for pickup because it would have taken a lot longer than it would have been if I would have had it delivered. Upon arriving to the location I was not greeted, stood at the takeout counter for 5 minutes until someone acknowledged me. They said my order would be out in 2 minutes cause the the hold of of bread sticks. The gal that assisted me said "I'll call for you soon". 5 minutes later that same gal was walkout of your establishment cause her shift was over. Now I'm waiting more than ten minutes, nobody knows I'm there, now I have to get back in line mind you almost twenty minutes after I arrive, my food is extremely cold. The only thing that was warm were the bread sticks. After almost waiting 30 minutes cause again nobody knows I'm there I walk out with a cold box of pizza, my chilled stimulus meal and warm bread stick. That's not even the entire part, after I arrived home and had to reheat my food, mind you my steak I ordered medium rare was given to me well done, I came across a long dark hair in my mash potatoes. So after purchasing a cold meal and still having human hair in it I obviously had to throw it away. It baffles me that disconnect your establishment has with its guests. I am deeply saddens at the service that I was given and I will defiantly not hesitate to let people know about your company and everything it had to offer... literally. Stonefire is an excellent place if you really want great food at an excellent price. I usually get the mac and cheese! I come here all of the time but Friday's experience really prompted me to write this review. Our server Julia, who we have seen many times, really tried her hardest to make sure we had an excellent dining experience! She made sure all of our food came out as fast as possible and we even saw her running across the restaurant for certain things. My wife and I stumbled upon this place by chance while traveling home to Palm Springs from Ventura, and were very impressed. As a hospitality professional, I am always a bit critical with restaurants, but there was nothing to be critical about here with regard to the food. Everything we ordered (combination dinners) was fresh and delicious, and generous. The manager on duty was very nice and helpful, as this was our first visit. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to the service personnel. Those who take patrons orders should have asked if this was our first visit and direct where to get what we need to eat our meal, ie, flatware, napkins, drinks, as the restaurant being partially self-service. They do deliver your meal to your table, but no one ever checked back after serving us our meal. Other than that, a great place. We will definitely return. read more

Stonefire grill is a wonderful restaurant that truly has "something for everyone." It is huge enough to handle any size group, but not overly loud. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality is high. They save money by eliminating serving staff: you order before you are seated. You then serve yourself drinks from a self serve station, and you also get your plates, silverware and napkins yourself. You get a buzer that lights when your food is ready and they locate you and bring it all to your table. We ordered a MOUNTAIN of food by accident-- WARNING!!!!! Portions are LARRRRRRRRRRGE!!!!!!!!! We ordered a family plate that included a full rack of baby backs, and a 1/2 and 1/2 of the tri tip. Included is 18 delicious Parmesan/garlic bread sticks. We also ordered a family sized Caeser salad, a grilled Cauliflower side dish that came with a nice lemony caeser type sauce (it was an entire head), a side of garlic mashed potatoes (soooo very very good and bad (good tasting; bad for us) and an a la carte grilled Salmon in lemon pepper sauce. Ribs were on the dry side, until I discovered their special bbq sauce that you help yourself to. Delicious sauce. Ribs were cooked perfectly, but even though everything is mesquite grilled, I was hoping for a "smokier" flavor. All in all, everyone enjoyed the food....some of us still are, 3 days later! First off, I haven't been to many BBQ places or steakhouses so I'm guessing my tastebuds aren't exactly fit to decide if this place is really good or just good to me. My brother and I decided to come here and eat, craving ribs and, just, meat. We had originally planned to go to Bonnie B's Smokin but found out it was closed Monday and Tuesday. So we drove around and ended up coming here. Although I don't know how good Bonnie is, I think we made the right choice coming here. We both ordered the ribs and tri-tip (my brother got peppercorn-garlic and i got BBQ) combo with a side of "cowboy beans" and garlic mashed potatoes. Ribs: Fall off the bone juicy meat with a perfect coating of their own BBQ sauce (not too tangy or saucy). Tri-tip: Melt in your mouth tender meat, Flavorful and juicy. Cowboy Beans: Just tasted like tobasco, salsa, and beans (like chili) Garlic Mashed Potatoes: So good, great amount of garlic mixed in with a little bit of cheese throughout for a very garlicky (but not overwhelming) taste. As I said, I don't go to many steakhouses or BBQ places but I must say this place has some damn good meat. 5 stars because I've ordered here a dozen times and it's very consistent with easy take out service. You can tell it has good management. The tri tip in particular is actually very good. For the price it is comparable to wood ranch. Their BBQ sauce is also very similar to wood ranch. Sure I've had better tri tip. I've tried many of the sides and the pizza and they are just ok. I've been to the one in Valencia countless times, and that location is amazing. This one, however, not the best. The food comes out way too quickly, meaning, it was previously cooked & just sits there for lord knows how long. I took my two roommates who had never been there before & one of my roommates got food poisoning from the chicken because it wasn't cooked properly! I went here twice with my friend and girlfriend, and all that I have to say is that its really pack from my experience and the service here is abit lacking. Feels like high schoolers are serving me and they havent been taught how to be well mannered. I still remember this one girl that literally left her cashier station as I was about to order; just got off her postion and left me hanging without even a reason or eye contact. The 2nd time I got there, there was a line again and I understand that theres going to be some sacrifice in services but not to the point where I had to have a staring contest with the cashier and I had to direct myself. So overall ill say this, service here is a D at best but thats probably because of the amount of people that comes here, but as for the food its as good as most people rated it " awesome ".
