This place is all my friends go to spot. It's healthy, affordable, and the ambiance is great. I love their Golden State Kale Salad, South of the Border Salad, Roasted Cauliflower Pita, Cheeseless Roasted Veggie Pizza, and their BREADSTICKS! Those are my usual go to's. It's made of fresh ingredients and they don't use much oil to cook with (which a lot of restaurants do). Their mac n' cheese is also delicious. We went for a quick lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't really expect much because of the fast food feel when entering. Basically you order at the register and the food is brought out to you. I went with the pulled pork sandwich and a side of their peanut cole slaw. The sandwich was good and the some BBQ sauce had a bit of a kick. The slaw was a bit dry but good, however it doesn't stand up to Wood Ranch's version. I've been coming to this location for years since stonefire is one of my favorite places. However, today I want to acknowledge Rob! He was in such a good mood, went out of his way to offer me what I wanted before I could even think to ask once my good came, and overall his positive attitude and genuine happiness to be there made my entire day. It's not often you see such cheerful people in their place of work, especially the service industry. Wow, surprisingly good and best of all.. SUPER AFFORDABLE! I came here with no expectations - I thought it would be a fast food type of joint, especially from the style of ordering. You stand in a line to make your order, and then you have to go search the restaurant for your own table. They then bring you the food later! Our party of 5 ordered a whole tritip, which came with a BUCKET (literally) of salad of your choice, and 12 freshly baked breadsticks. The tritip was perfect - extremely tender, juicy, smoked, and extremely flavorful without being too salty or overly seasoned. The salad could have been better but atleast everything in it was very fresh. The breadsticks were so warm and chewy, yet crunchy on the outside... We also ordered a 10" margherita pizza, which also was surprisingly good, despite the unimpressive picture of it on the menu. Most notable about the pizza was the crust.. I tried so hard to not eat it because of my excessive breadstick consumption, but the crust just called to me.. For sides, we ordered a whole roasted cauliflower, which had some crack lemon-tahini sauce tasting thing on it. It was seriously so good and didn't taste like cauliflower at all (for all you veggie haters out there). We also ordered mashed potatoes, which were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They left bits of the skin in the potatoes, and they had the perfect balance of sourcreamy/milky/potatoe-y/buttery goodness. Although our group of 16 ended up having to wait a while, all was forgiven when they came out with fresh breadsticks for us to sample while we were waiting. The items I've tried here are the pizza, quinoa salad, tri tip, chicken, and breadsticks! The pizza is thin, the sauce is light, and the cheese combo tastes great. The tri tip is tender, easy to pull apart, and easy to eat. The chicken is super moist and seasoned with simply salt and pepper so you can really enjoy the chicken itself. I heard it's cooked low and slow. The bread sticks are AMAZING!!! They are like skinny versions of the ones from Olive Garden and packed with some tasty garlic. Stinky and delicious! Ever since I started working with my current employer, one of the main benefits of my job are frequent catering from a favorite restaurant. When I found out that this restaurant was near my home, I had to visit with my mother. My stomach is hungry for StoneFire Grill in Chatsworth. Lately, my mother and I have been trying new restaurants and never trying the same place twice. Life is too short for the same thing. StoneFire Grill is located at the Pacific Winnetka Theatres. I haven't been here in a long time. It used to be just the theatre, but now the restaurants are probably cash cows. This location has two entrances: One for the Pickup Orders and the other for dining in. Make sure you are in the right line. When one family saw me pass them from the Pickup Line to the Dine-In Lane, I let them go first. They thought I was a regular. Nah, just first time here. I had my mother find a table and since she wasn't familiar with the food, I ordered for both of us. So, let's begin! With the suggestion of my coworker, I ordered a Medium South of the Border Salad with Tri-Tip ($14.99) and medium Mashed Potatoes ($4.99) and a full basked of 12 bread sticks ($4.99). The cashier, Vincent, was also going to be my server as well. **High Five** The one thing I keep forgetting is that you get your own plates before you sit down. Well, I sat down and forgot about the plates and utensils. So, GET YOUR DISHES & UTENSILS BEFORE YOU SIT! The waiter will not get it for you. I had 3-4 Servings, but they must've been small servings because it always seemed like the serving bowl was always refilled. At the end, my mother and I left 3/4 of the salad left. With us struggling with the delicious salad, I had stuffed myself with the bread sticks. I had ordered a Full Basked (12 pieces) and it is the most addicting item on the menu. So, Olive Garden....WATCH OUT! As for mashed potatoes, they were good, not great. I say that because I ate it all. **tears** I wish my meal didn't end, but I saw more bowls of salad and other dishes passing through. I saw a bigger meal when I saw some LAPD Officers having a grand feast. Salute to them for having a great meal while I am there. Stop. Just take a second and hear me out and read this whole thing BAD and GOOD. There are several reasons to like StoneFire Grill. However, you HAVE to avoid the pastas. The "meat" marinara looks good and and tastes horrible. It's does not resemble anything Italian. At. All. Avoid the pesto too. It tastes like basil and lawn grass. I swear I'm not exaggerating. Breadsticks were good. Bread. Butter. Garlic. The ribs are flavorless and ours had a bitter tasting char flavor. The brownie was dry, boring, and tastes like it's made with a cheap mix. I had something similar in a cheap buffet line restaurant. The cheesecake is light and tasty but people need more than blueberry being the only choice. I've been coming to all the Stonefire Grill locations for years (with exception to Irvine). Nice clean restaurant that serves great food in a casual dining atmosphere. The portions are usually family style, but individual meals are available. The BBQ Tri-Tip and chicken are delicious. You can get your chicken cooked bbq style or with lemon, garlic. All their Pastas, salads, pizzas and bread sticks are excellent. The family meals are a great deal and very affordable. read more

Let's start with the bad: - ALL of the patio tables were filthy but only 3 were occupied. - Tri tip was soooooo chewy I couldn't chew it enough to swallow without feeling like I was choking - NO forks anywhere! By that point our food had been served and was COLD. and for some reason no one I asked would give me PLASTIC UTENSILS. it was odd. Meh. I've experience better is correct. I went here recently with a couple of friends who wanted to try this place out. When we arrived, it was complete chaos. There was a hostess that took the number of our party and our name, and then a line where one waits in line and pays for the food. Once you have paid and you are seated, you wait for your server to bring your food to the table. Also, they have self-serve fountain drinks. They have bussers, servers, cashiers and a hostess, yet for whatever reason their system doesn't allow you to give them a tip...or perhaps you give the tip upfrount? Their system was a bit bizarre. I wasn't in the mood for bbq, but the rest of the table did so we got the family bbq meal with a large side of mac n cheese. I had the caesar salad (which was decent), the garlic bread (which was great), and the mac n cheese (which was quite delicious). The rest of table had everything I had along with a rack of bbq ribs and chicken. My bf thought the chicken was dry. My dining experience was alright. This place has become one of the restaurants my boyfriend and I like to go to when we are in the valley. Food is ordered and paid at the register, and then the waiters bring the food out to your table. The food comes out pretty quick, and all the portions are huge. We always end up ordering more than we can eat! The salads come in huge bowls (enough for a medium sized group), and a small bowl of pasta is enough to get full off of. My boyfriend and I always get the Lemon Garlic chicken--juicy and tasty! The breadsticks here are really good too. I'm always tempted to order the desserts, but I've never tried them since I'm always too full by the time I'm done with my dinner. At Stonefire you will find extremely delicious food, nice seating areas great for large groups/families, large portions all for affordable prices! We ordered the sesame glazed salmon which was a healthy and nicely seasoned chunk of fish. Got the full rack of bbq baby back ribs which were tender and fell right off the bone. Make sure you get their BBQ sauce! It goes well with not only the ribs but everything else. It's a lighter, sweeter type of bbq sauce and it's delicious! Had an order of the shrimp with quinoa. This dish had a large amount of oil in it. The shrimp were large and tasty quinoa tasted very citrusy and and a little on the soggier side because it was pretty much soaked in the oil (hoping it was olive oil atleast). They've got some amazingly large salads. We got the BBQ chopped salad with Tri tip. The large salad is HUGE and could easily feed a party of 6-7 people. The Tri tip was tender and overall salad was really good! The roasted cauliflower appetizer was good. Very soft and it was delicious dipped in their BBQ sauce. The ale carte entrees don't come with breadsticks, you get those only if you order the actual combo meals. We got tons of food for a very reasonable price and even had leftovers to take home. This place was super packed on a Saturday evening for dinner. You pretty much order your food and wait to be seated. The inside seating as well as outside is very nice. High ceilings inside with the lighting dimmed a bit which gives it a cool warm vibe. Love the fact that there's just so many options here and there are a lot of healthier alternatives compared to the heavier food items. This was my second time going to stone fire this month I ordered the tri tip for 2 with a garden salad and mash potatoes. They salad came out first no bread sticks as they did not have any ready yet. As I began eating the salad I found a dead lady bug. Took my plate and salad bowl wanted to speak to a manager but the server took my plate and showed it to the cook and I was never able to speak to a manager. Brought me a new salad to the table but after finding a bug in your food just ruins the meal. I guess they were too busy to even care about a client finding this bug in the salad. Hopefully they will inspect their lettuce more before mixing all the ingredients and covering it with ranch. read more

I came here for the first time last night. The menu has a great selection of dishes; a wide range of salads, pastas, pizzas, grilled meats, and sharing options for families. I split the Tri Tip (10-12oz is plenty for 2 people), with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Nutty Coleslaw. I would recommend both of those sides, and the breadsticks are really good too. I had a glass of the Ballard Lane Cabernet Sauvignon, which was pretty good for $6. The Tri Tip could have done with more of the BBQ glaze, as I felt it was a little dry, and didn't melt in my mouth, like Tri Tip should. It made me think of the Tri Tip at Woods Ranch, which is succulent, and has lots of glaze. And if you want more glaze at Woods Ranch, you can conveniently ask your assigned server to bring some, unlike at Stonefire, where you would have to go up to the counter to ask for some, because you don't have an assigned server. I did try my friends chicken breast however, which was nice and succulent. I do not like Stonefire's service model of very limited waiter service. I feel this model gives the vibe of a cafeteria, or fast-food chain, which does not match the quality of the food. You have to get your own drinks, and even your own melamine (!) plates. The server who brought our food, did not come back to check that we were satisfied with it. There are servers, but there is very little engagement with customers. I could not see a tip jar, and I didn't want to leave a tip on the table, because anyone could have picked it up! I am knocking two stars off my rating because of the following: -We were plagued by about 4 teeny tiny flies for our entire meal. I told the manager, who apologized, saying that they come in when the patio doors are open, and they do try and kill them when they see them. Stonefire, manual fly extermination is insufficient, please install bug zappers or an alternative, because it is neither pleasant, nor relaxing, to dine whilst constantly wafting away teeny flies. -We realized towards the end of our meal, that we never received the breadsticks. We had to go up to the counter twice, to ask for them. The manager said the kitchen had stopped making them. We ordered at 9.03pm, and the restaurant didn't close until 9.30pm. Please do not let the kitchen stop making breadsticks half an hour before you close, this does not make sense at all! -We wanted the Half Chicken. It was sold out, half an hour before closing, which was annoying! I would have knocked off more stars for the above, however, the manager did apologize, and gave us 2 extra breadsticks, and a full size of cheesecake to go, instead of the half size that we ordered, which made up for our issues, somewhat. I would come here again, BUT if there were STILL teeny tiny flies interrupting my meal, I would most likely head to Woods Ranch instead, in the future. read more

I was excited to try this place but was not impressed. Ordered the tri-tip, rigatoni, garlic mashed potatoes, cheese pizza, and breadsticks. The only things we liked were the tri-tip and breadsticks. Th rigatoni was not edible. The sauce has a Smokey flavor that leaves a really bad aftertaste. Mashed potatoes were dry and not good either. Pizza was just OK. On Sunday noon July 22 we ate at this restaurant and sit outside patio. After eating for almost 20 min, we saw a little rat was hanging on the wall. We feel "gross" as we ate at this restaurant and I assume suppose to be clean with A health inspection. I can not imagine how the kitchen would be like. Every time I have come here the food gets me sick, figured I would give it one last shot. Try and call to order and they tell me that the last call was at 8pm. On yelp and everywhere else all over the internet it says they close at 9:30pm. Unfortunately, they still did not take my order and said that their kitchen was closed even though they close at 9:30pm. This made no sense to me and I will never come here again. The girl at the counter opened the bags and read off my order which was what I had ordered. I took my bags and when i opened them at home (about a 35 minute drive away), I was missing one item that she said was in the bag. Yes, I should have checked, but I trusted that as she was opening the bags, looking, and reading off items, that it would be in there. My salad also had ingredients I requested not be on the salad. This is the third time that I have had issues with picking up preorders. I placed the order on Thursday to pick up this Sunday. I got to the parking lot a few minutes before my pickup time at 6:15. I was directed where to park and told someone would come up and assist us. The guy in our row went to two their cars that parked after we did. When he finally got to us, he took down the info and I asked about marinara. He just said we don't have it and walked away. We waited about 20 minutes and saw that a car that pulled in after us, et their order and leave. I asked another employee who said they'd check on it. Another 10 go by. I asked again and I am still waiting... I understand that they're busy and it's Mother's Day, but don't take orders or pre orders of you can't handle the volume. *** update, we got the food over an hour after the pick up time. But if I ordered for pickup at 6pm 3 hours in advance, I would expect the order to be ready at 6pm. I arrived at 6pm but my order wasn't ready. My salad was still being tossed and the brownie needed to be cut. I waited 10-15 minutes which is fine. My complaint here is that my order wasn't fulfilled as I had requested which was no green onions on the mashed potatoes. In addition, there was a big chunk of potato not mashed.
