I ordered the triple tip salad and I gotta say holy moly that was a lot more than what I was expecting. I came here off of a recommendation from a friend the night before who had nothing but good things to say about this place, I go to school in the area too and figured I'd dine here before class started for a quick lunch. I come to this STONEFIRE pretty regularly and I always get their lunch special salad. The food is always great, except for today. I went in after the lunch rush to pick up my South of the Border salad with grilled tri tip. I bit into a piece of what I thought was tri tip but it ended up being gristle. I didn't pay much attention to it until every single bite of tri tip was either a fatty piece, gristle, or hard tendon. And the 4 pieces that were actually meat tasted old and were even a funky grayish color. Once We PAID and sat down at the table a lady came to us informing us that their food is ALL PRE-MADE and the only thing that has no black pepper is salmon & mash potatoes which it was less price value of what we paid ($52). My family and I decided to have lunch here after Easter ceremonies at church. After getting called for what I thought was a table we proceeded to a line where you pre-order your food and it is brought to your table. This process both went very slow and inefficient. We ordered a cheeseburger with chips, bbq chicken wrap, chicken pesto and mac n cheese with garlic mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, except for the cheeseburger every other entree lacked flavor. My wife had to use some sauce on the bbq chicken wrap since the wrap on its own had no flavor. My stepson did not like the taste of the chicken pesto. The consistency was very dry and all pesto with no real parmesan cheese or heavy cream. My stepdaughter thought the mac n cheese was fair. All in all we were not pleased with our meal. Lived in chatsworth 20+ years. I've had stone fire as a nurse at work millions of time, at family gatherings etc. I've ordered out through the app many times. Went in this week while visiting as I recently moved and wow lol. Busy as usual and I went to the wrong line to order take out (I usually do it from the app but I was with a friend and we wanted to order inside) after I ordered I confirmed with the employee at the register that it was take out he literally looked like I committed the worst crime imaginable. He was loud and rude and awkward about the mistake I had made. Literally shamed me lol, over ordering in the wrong line. He called over the manager who was unbelievably rude. (I'm sure that man is burnt out as he looked exhausted and had ZERO personality or charisma.) the manager was equally as rude regarding my mistake for ordering in the wrong line. I apologized and he also looked at me like I kicked someone's dog.. I was humiliated by the ordeal on the inside and I won't be going back when I visit. I'll drive across town to another location, y'all really need to check your attitudes. This review purely goes out to the manager, Rob. I came off a little headstrong because my sister had togoed from Stonefire and the chicken was uncooked, and still bloody red. That's a law suit. We usually come to this location, leaving very happy, so I thought she had ordered take out here again- turns out I was wrong. It was from Thousand Oaks Stonefire. Rob was very pleasant and tried to be accommodating even while I complained about the chicken. After realizing my own faults, I felt terrible and called back to apologize. Shockingly, he apologized back and said stonefire tries to uphold it's quality. I will never go to another location after this experience (on the phone with the Thousand oaks manager, Joel) because asides from quality, Winnetka puts their customers as top priority. We figured it couldn't happen again right? Boy was I wrong because this place just keeps on making mistakes on top of mistakes. Let me tell you what happen this time. My wife and I ordered the Cobb salad with no tomatoes and no bacon. We asked the person who took our order if we can sub the olives instead of bacon and she said yes great it sounds perfect or so I thought. When we received our medium Cobb salad it came with tomatoes (which I am allergic to and the wrong dressing) so we sent it back. The person who took it back asked us how it was suppose to be so we told her Cobb salad with no tomatoes and no bacon but add olives. Before she brought it back she came back and told us our replacement Cobb salad won't have eggs cause they just ran out. What the hell seriously? Whatever, we said just add chickpeas then she said ok. Ok finally the moment of truth came when she put the salad down were they going to mess up again but it came out ok. Original Cobb salad comes with: Lettuce Chicken Blue cheese crumbles Eggs Olives Ranch Replacement salad came with: Lettuce Chicken Blue cheese crumbles Chickpeas Ranch Even the replacement salad was messed up because they forgot olives. Also, I asked for ranch and they never brought me any ranch so I had to go to a manager ask again for some ranch. I now officially given up on the place. This location made it very dry and basic. The breadsticks here were hard. The ribs and chicken were good as well as the mashed potatoes which never disappoint but the beans side was nothing special at all. I would never recommend it. Great location and solid food! I've always loved Stonefire because of the expansive menu. There's always something for someone - even the picky eaters. For families, there are bigger meals with a lot of options for all. Who doesn't love BQQ? I will say that the servings are pretty big! We ordered 2 bbq meals and added a Mac and cheese for 2 people. We had so much food left over! We also tried half a carrot cake. The cake is soooooooo freaking good. I highly recommend if you like carrot cake! What I really like is that this location is pretty big with indoor and outdoor space. There's always parking as it's shared with a movie theater and other shops. The service is pretty good. The dine in area was clean and the bus boys were constantly cleaning tables to get people seated. Living on the east of Simi I was pleased discover a Stonefire Grill closer to my house than the Westlake location. Although the menu is the same as the one in WL, the atmosphere/vibe of the Chatsworth location is a bit different. The lighting is a bit brighter here and overall didn't feel as upscale as WL (not that the WL location is fancy or anything). It was quite busy on a Saturday night when we arrived. Maybe everyone was going to see Jack the Giant Slayer? My guess is no...anyways the line was out the door. Ordering took nearly 30 minutes to complete but fortunately the staff did assigned seating due to how busy it was. This was nice because we knew we had a table waiting for us after ordering and we wouldn't have to fight tooth and nail for a table. Our small party shared the marinara pasta, an order of tri tip, 1/2 a bbq chicken, bread sticks, mashed potatoes and caesar salad. All of the dishes were pretty good but not great. The marinara pasta was the weakest of the bunch. Not much flavor and very, very forgettable. The bread sticks might have been the best part of the meal. The sticks were very fresh, soft, and garlicky. The tri tip was cooked to medium (as I had ordered it) but with a lack of char and spice on the meat itself I was forced to add a little bbq sauce and salt n' peppa (push it real good!). Although the food is bbq the taste is just a bit more muted than if you were at real bbq joint. Still, for the price, quality, and convenience, Stonefire Grill has it's place. From the workers taking the orders to the servers to the bus people, the customer service was great. The menu is extensive and I've come to find that the salads are the best tasting and best valued items on the menu. Pretty good! Came here twice for a business lunch, and apparently the fad here are the salads. They are HUMONGOUS! A petite will definitely fill you up, but if you up the ante, it's only like a dollar more and you can save it for dinner. I tried their french dip sandwich and it's just okay. Dining in is cool because it's just like panera bread where they bring your order and they also stop by to make sure you're okay and to take away your plates.
