My friend recommended this place and I was excited to try it since it had been on my list for a long time. We shared the charred broccoli to start and it was amazing! Do not miss it. We got the burrata, which we did not realize was like a mini pizza. It was cute, but not sure if it really needed as much bread as it had. The pistachio pesto was yummy though. Then we also shared the papparedelle pasta. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was pretty good. I might have liked a little but thicker of a sauce. It was not a huge portion, but with the other food it was perfect for sharing. Will have to come back here to try the cocktails as they looked great. The bartender who served us was very friendly and helpful!

Went for brunch on Sunday, got to sit outside since the weather is nice. Very dog friendly! Ordered the Dutch baby, steak and eggs and pepperoni pizza to share. All the food were very tasty and the service was pretty fast! Would come back for brunch again

Always love coming here, they change their menu seasonally and it's always fresh, delicious, and inventive! Great drinks, friendly service, can't go wrong with any pizzas or pastas.

Stone burner has been a long time favorite of mine for one reason - the broccoli. It is the best broccoli I've ever had and the vegetable dish I crave the most - the char paired with the creamy tahini is just perfect. Other dishes come and go and are all generally quite good. The ambiance and service are always good. However on my most recent visit I was quite disappointed with the gnocchi. The gnocchi themselves were fantastic but they majorly skimped on the guanciale - I had many bites without any and had to fish around for it.

When you walk into Stoneburner, you'll be welcome by the most amazing smell of delicious baking pizza. The vibe is super cute , we were obsessed with the architecture inside. Everybody is extremely friendly from the hostess to the servers. We started with a salad. Chicory something-not pictured. It was good, but I only didn't love it because of the manchego in it. The apples and hazelnuts were a nice touch. For dinner, we share the bucatini pasta and the potato and mushroom pizza . The pasta was perfectly cooked sauce was not overwhelming . The Pizza had the most amazing crust . The toppings were great. I felt like I was eating perfectly cooked potatoes in addition to eating the pizza. Originally, when I saw another table order the baked Alaska, I thought it was a stack of waffles. The baked Alaska was delicious. It was a perfect shareable dessert. Not pictured was the house pomegranate soda. I felt like it lacked a little flavor and it wasn't very fizzy for soda. Especially at $7 a glass. But I appreciated them trying. I would say my main Takeaway for coming back would be for the pizza .

Lovely place. So beautifully done inside and ample seating both indoors and outdoors. We were a large group and sat outside. Staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was good but the stellar moment was when dessert came over. Oh man, the cheese cake was delicious but the smores chocolate ice cream cake was to die for. I would come back just for that.

We had a lovely evening here. Highlights included the service, and the ambiance. We sat right by the patio which was nice seeing the people passing by. Although I didn't love the pork chop, because it felt over cooked, the drinks, pasta and salad we had were phenomenal. I would come back and try their pizza next time.

So we went here for Father's Day 2024 and I'm so glad we did! It's been a minute since we've been here and the food, service and ambiance were all fantastic! Let's get to it Wild King Salmon: this was probably my least favorite dish as the fish was overcooked, a shame as the flavors were really good and you could tell the parts that were not over cooked promised a delicious dish if done right, the sauces and asparagus complemented it beautifully Charred Broccoli: hands down the best veggie dish I have tasted in a long while, whoa it packs a punch! I loved it so much I stole a piece off my kiddos plate Spot Prawn Aguachile: I had no idea what I was getting myself into here looool but I'm so glad I tried it, everything about it was bright and fresh BUT I probably would have preferred a cooked shrimp dish (sigh I know I'm terrible) Morels Pizza l: SO SO TASTY I love mushrooms, I love morels and I loved this pizza, the confit garlic and potato just added another layer YUM! Dry Aged Toro Steak: now this bad boy was not playing around, it sat on a bed of thinly sliced potato's and oh that salsa verde, but the steak was king here beautifully cooked and seasoned well it was a delicious plate Basque Cheesecake: oh yes I planned for this guy and boy was I glad we indulged a little more, it was heaven! And they even put the fruit compote on the side as I'm not one for cooked fruit. A great finish to the meal, make room for it!!

This place is a true Ballard gem. Between the old school meet modern ambience, the excellent staff, and delicious food, this place is a must go to for the neighborhood. As I often eat alone, I never feel awkward coming into the bar..,the staff makes you feel comfortable and are quite attentive. The food is always delicious. Their steak is my favorite...albeit a touch on the salty side, it's always charred to perfection. The bread is fantastic as well. Anything you order here; you can't go wrong. Highly recommended stopping in.

Cod entree - takeout order

Had really high hopes based on reviews. Sadly, they didn't match up to the experience we had. The hostess gave some long winded speech about where to sit and not to sit, and honestly I have zero idea what she was talking about or why because she was unclear and it was extremely loud. Not surprising walk-ins may either have to wait or sit at the bar on a busy night but shouldn't there be an easier way to communicate that? We ended up sitting at the bar and ordering take out. The bartender was very personable and offered some of his suggestions about the menu. The restaurant itself has a dark and cozy vibe which we always prefer. We ended up ordering the pepperoni pizza and roasted black cod entree. The wait time for the food wasn't horrible for a busy night. I'll just say this. The food for the price charged does not match, not even remotely. The pizza was burnt. I was honestly shocked they would even serve it that way. Personally if I was the chef or part of the kitchen staff I would have made another one, and apologized for the wait. Then you have the cod entree ... it was a big soggy mess tossed into the to-go box. Again - shocked they would serve the meal this way. The cabbage was limp, and dripping wet. The fish was soggy so much so that the skin was falling off of it, and then there was two spoonfuls of mashed something. To top it all off there was no offer of tableware or napkins for our to-go order. For the price of the meals at this restaurant I expect better. Pics attached. I realize there are "off" nights, but this was a pretty big miss for me especially at that price point.

Are there vegan options?

I had homemade pasta with veggies Was great don't think it had cheese

Can you bring your dog if you are seated in the outdoor area?

I wouldn't see why not. They don't have a large outdoor area but they do have sling walls in the bar area that opens up the space to the outside.

Ambiance is awesome! Lots of people so make your reservations like us. We ordered a shared appetizer - pita bread and all 6 kinds of toppings hummus, tzatziki, and all they offer. Each one of us had an entree ranging from lamb burger, chicken, mushroom and lamb kebabs - all so good. It was so tender and tasty. Enough to fill us. Love it! So good! Kebabs were served on a hot plate. Nice presentation. Service was outstanding. Good attentive service .

This is a lively place, always filled with a lot of upscale looking customers. So the atmosphere is quite loud, but fun in a buzzing way. We were seated quickly, as we had reservations. Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. The onions in the bottom get browned and crusty, so good to eat. One had a lamb burger which looked juicy and served with delicious mound of fries sprinkled with rosemary. Food here has always been awesome. Skipped dessert as we had homemade cookies to eat at our next stop.

Highly recommend the three dip (current seasons is beet and it's my fav) with the flat bread. The flat bread comes out steaming. Trumpet mushroom is Smokey and juicy. However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

The batinjan (eggplant) and labneh wrap here has now taken its place in my pantheon of best…read moreeggplant bites I've ever had. Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.
