HOT TIP: If you can't tell the difference between a plantain and a banana you should have to eat…read moreone raw to learn. Do better and add plantains to your Cuban bowl or remove the bananas. Add mangos at that point, but it's upsetting and actually OFFENSIVE to anyone with that background to have to pay 20 dollars for something Antoni could have rolled out on queer eye in 2017. No one has mentioned this? Not another beautiful Caribbean baddie has been upset by this abomination? Plantains belong with black beans and chicken on a Cuban bowl w mojo, warm bananas do not. WHY would you make this decision?! Also if I have come in TWO different times and asked, nay, implored, that you make sure that the kitchen is not going to indeed send me out warm bananas instead of plantains for a Cuban bowl, AND THE SERVER CONFIRMS, we even laugh at the notion of a warm bananas...only to SEND OUT WARM BANANAS ON A CUBAN BOWL?! This also lets me know that EVEN THE SERVERS ARE CONFUSED. I can't tell if it's bad translating or what but PLEASE change this. I don't think anyone that's not white should have to endure this. These should be PLANTAINS. I have come in calmly and explained this to you, I have come in on a day off when I'm not even consuming your food and tried to talk to you about this, and you don't seem to take it seriously, so here I am! I'm a native angeleno and my job is to photograph food, so this isn't my first rodeo. Food is political, and if Alcove is hell bent on surving warm bananas, just flambe and add to a pancake. Change the Cuban bowl or rename it to hot banana with chicken bowl because between the plantain being absent and the sauce being what it is, just take it off the menu, no one is enjoying this. -A CONCERNED COLOMBIAN PS: If this review goes ignored my next step is coming in with a basket of plantains and doing a tutorial because clearly the menu author and manager are unaware that there is a VERY big difference. And next time, maybe learn a cultural dish before just adding it to your menu!

Happy to say the salads and sandwiches are tasty and filling! The Peruvian steak sandwich with amarillo sauce was nice and had a little kick to it. The sauce as dips complimented well and the crispy rice being used made sense! Portions are great and we were able to save some for a second meal! We will probably be back when passing by!!

I originally loved Everytable because it helped me stay on track with my fitness and nutrition goals. The portions were good, the meals were affordable, and I felt like I was supporting a good cause at the same time. Fast forward a few years and they are still thriving, with more people discovering them and more creative meals being added to the menu. Of course, as they've grown, the prices have gone up a bit, so I now look at Everytable as more of a treat for myself. But the meals have also become more innovative and enjoyable. One of my current favorites is the Hot Honey Crunch Salad. It is SO good. I also really like Kel's Turkey Burger meal. The burger and sauce are delicious, and I recommend putting the buns in the air fryer while heating everything else separately. The birria mac and cheese is another favorite of mine. They also have Pressed Juicery drinks, different chips and snacks, and the staff can be really nice and helpful when you need recommendations. This is the Everytable location I've been going to the most lately, and I definitely recommend stopping by if you have one in your area. It's nice seeing a company I've been supporting for years continue to grow while still putting out meals that I actually enjoy.
