I went into Stitch had a consultation, and we decided on a plan to create the perfect dress for me. I found a dress and veil online close to what I wanted, brought it and handed it over to these ladies. They transformed this dress for me, took the entire thing apart and rebuilt it to my liking. They changed the hem, the silhouette, the fullness of the skirt, they tacked in 2 petticoats, attached a comb to my 18 foot long veil, they even added sentimental objects like my husbands name tag from Afghanistan. We were having our reception on a riverboat and they put in 5 five point bustle so I could dance around the deck. They worked pure magic, and my dress was a showstopper. My fiancé was on a mission to get his zipper fixed on his coat because he was very chilly! He googled and found this tailor, he called and she wasn't sure if she could fix it and had to see it. We walked to her shop, which is very centrally located in Savannah. She's on the second floor and the space was open and welcoming. I went to Stitch to alter my wedding dress. They were a bit on the pricey side but well worth the money, in my opinion. The seamstress hemmed my dress AND my slip, put in a bustle, added a belt, and added a sentimental piece to my dress - all flawlessly. She was always pleasant and I know I'm going to look wonderful in my dress. I'd been to Stitch with some of my girlfriends for their wedding dress alterations and gotten to witness the magic Adrienne can do over the years -- I then found the dress of my dreams for my wedding and it was only available in one size. That one size didn't fit over my butt! I knew if anyone could fix it, it would be Adrienne. Adrienne did an amazing job with an extremely complex task: she had to literally cut my dress down both sides and put it back together. She did it flawlessly. Stitch is AMAZING! I bought a dress two years before my wedding day and got pregnant and had a baby boy during that time. When I brought the dress to Stitch, it was snug and I told Adrienne that it was DEFINITELY in my plans to lose weight before the wedding day. So she booked me multiple appointments to foresee what my dress might need. In addition to this obstacle, the date that hurricane Matthew hit was the day I was supposed to take home my wedding dress - one week before my wedding day. As of THREE days before my wedding, Stitch had not recovered electricity from the storm (way beyond their control) and Adrienne was SO committed that she took my dress home with her and worked on it through the night. In summary, they really ruined my wedding suit and two jackets. I really don't think they should alter any men's suits because it is obvious from the results that this is not something they are good at doing. I had to take my wedding suit and the other two jackets to another tailor to fix them. My mistake was trusting that they knew what they were doing and trust me, I have learned this the most expensive and hard way. They have ruined my jackets, charged me $200+ for what was supposed to be a simple alteration and an additional $300+ that will cost me to fix what they have ruined. For the sake of any future customers, please be honest and true by not taking alterations for what you are not good at. On my wedding day, after 30+ hours of travel (it was a destination wedding for us in Savannah) and not having tried on my dress in a few weeks, I realized I needed some emergency alterations, only 6 hours before the ceremony! I had little hope until I found Stitch online and we spoke with Adrienne. She was gracious, realistic and most importantly supportive in helping us with same-day emergency wedding dress alterations, performed within 2 hours and plenty of time to spare. As most brides feel day of - I would have paid just about anything for this rush service but she charged what I felt is normal (rush) pricing, incredibly fair and reasonable! She didn't take advantage of the situation, did excellent work and was a pleasure to do business with. The most expensive part was her hemming the tulle which was 100+ and it wasn't even done well! I had to have someone cut the tulle the day of the wedding because it was way too long.
