The wedding was being held in Europe and I was leaving this Wednesday. I asked the staff at the desk when they would be ready and she told me to come on Monday. It would be ready by Monday, she guaranteed. The invoice came to 37 dollars which surprised me because these were simply unstitched silk material. I wanted them pressed because they are easier to pack in your carryon baggage. Today, that is, Tuesday, I went to pick them up after work, and the same lady told me that it was not there and that it was at the Derenne branch and that it was on their truck and it was not there yet. She had told me last week that it would be there on MONDAY. I was a little taken aback and asked her when it would be there and she asked me to come back any time after 3:30pm. So I went there at 4pm to pick it up. The same lady told me that it was not there. I was shocked. I was in a complete panic at that point because I was going for a wedding in less than 24 hours and I didn't have anything else to wear to the wedding. I need my clothes, I told the lady; I am leaving for Europe for a wedding tomorrow. I have nothing to wear. You said they would be here Monday, and then today, and they are not here. She then told me that she would have the truck deliver it to my work Wednesday morning! I just couldn't believe it or believe anything she said or Curry Drycleaners said. Are they at least pressed? I asked her. No, she told me. They are not pressed. They were under something somewhere. Somehow they didn't look at it for 5 days!!! I told her that I don't want them pressed and that I will drive to Derenne and pick them up because I just wanted my clothes back. I will press them myself. She said they close at 5pm. It was 4:20 pm by then with all the explanation. I lit out from Wilmington island at 4:20 -- the traffic on 80 and Truman were brutal. I reached the Derenne store at 4:45 pm and picked up the untouched, unpressed clothes. I was simply appalled at how irresponsible they were. I will never trust Curry Drycleaners again. It was traumatic.

I'm giving Curry a neutral three-star review instead of something lower because there was nothing…read morewrong with the dry cleaning process itself, and my clothes came back looking fine. However, I cannot recommend them because of two other reasons. First, the cost is ridiculously high for mundane cleaning. A simple pair of pants was $12. A polo shirt was $11. I haven't encountered costs this exorbitant even in high cost-of-living areas such as Washington, D.C. or Miami, FL. The second dry cleaner I tried here in the Savannah area was a little more than 1/2 that amount. I paid $7 for a pair of pants and $6.50 for the polo shirt. And the cleaning itself was comparable. Secondly, the employees I encountered both on drop-off & pick-up were surly and acted like they were doing me a favor by taking my money and giving me my clothes. I'm not looking for a best friend when I go to a business, but I do expect a bit of courtesy and professionalism.

We treated them to dinner on Thursday evening. When the waitress was delivering dessert to our table she accidentally tilted the tray and a cup of chocolate ice cream hard shell sauce slid and splashed on my sons blazer sleeve, AND also on the blazer sleeve of his guest. What a mess! However, his guest soon explained that his blazer was Italian handmade, a gift from his mother, and the value $2,000.00. YIKES! Our club promised to replace if needed. I took his custom, Italian blazer to Curry Dry Cleaner first thing Friday morning, 10/27/17. Problem Solved: I delivered the chocolate hard shell sauce stained blazer to Curry Dry Cleaners at 7:30 Friday morning. I explained the entire situation and that our guest was only here for the football weekend. Curry Dry Cleaners examined the blazer and determined fairly quickly that they could remove the stain! Wow, really?!Then they asked if I wanted to pick it up later in the day for our out of town guest! Yes, yes, yes, customer service at its best!!! I'm sold on Curry Dry Cleaners and so is our Atlanta friend! Pictures posted say it all! A+ for great dry cleaning, friendly service and going above and beyond!!!

We had a mold problem in our apartment that was very difficult to totally clean, 2 companies was trying to help, so our clothes were left in the dry cleaners until problem was solved, all the while letting the store know what was going on and we want our clothes. They seemed to understanding, acknowledging they understood, having had extensive conversations. Well when we finally went to pick up our clothes, over a hundred dollars of dry cleaning was stolen, we were told the manager went thought our clothes and took some!! My spouse just told me let's just get what's left and leave. We had close to a $1000 in dry cleaning at that store, you lost customers for life.

Hostile, unprofessional, unstable employee (Charmaine ) -- awful experience in front of children…read more No resolution from management. I've been a regular at the Suds on Skidaway Road (Savannah Location) for years with no issues -- until I encountered Charmaine. From the moment I walked in, she looked irritated that I was even there. She offered no help, had a nasty attitude, and became aggressive when I asked a simple question about my receipt after paying in exact cash. The card machine was broken, and when I offered to pay in cash, she rudely told me it had to be exact cash in a very nasty tone. After I paid, she handwrote "needs to pay" on my receipt and highlighted it, which left me confused. When I asked for clarification to avoid issues later, she became hostile, started yelling, and behaved in a highly unprofessional manner -- all in front of her own children who were present- one being behind the counter and handling customer's laundry -and my child, who was with me at the time. She also made unsettling comments about my clothes that made me fear she might intentionally damage them. I was genuinely concerned that she may have access to my card information and could misuse it. She yelled " that's why you have to bring your stank a** clothes in here to wash, you uppity bi***. This behavior was completely inappropriate and honestly unnecessary -- especially in front of children. This review is specifically about Charmaine who appeared to be mentally unstable. When I reported this matter, there was no apology or feedback from the store manager( Brittany) at all. She shared that when Charmaine called her about me requesting a receipt, she did not hear Charmaine being disrespectful because the phone hung up. However, this is untrue because I heard her on speaker phone in collaboration with her. Charmaine grew so angry she went outside leaning against a car yelling about me to her on the phone as I was leaving. Also when escalated to district manager (Christie), she did not follow up with me later like she assured. She did call initially after I called multiple stores sharing the incident. She assured she would be sure to follow up with me that afternoon regarding what would be happening. However, she did not. I had to follow up with her, and when I called her, she behaved as if she did not know who I was- initially , and also did not seem very apologetic towards the situation. She shared she was still investigating, but her tone was much different than earlier - there was no interest or concern for my experience. It seemed as if she was annoyed I was following up. I expressed that I did not feel comfortable with the situation or how it was being handled and she suggested that I go to another Suds location. Smh. When I went to go pick up my clothing, there was no sign of remorse. There was no apology and the worker was still there actively working. The store manager was present (Brittany) and did not offer an ounce of acknowledgment or accountability . Very disappointing. The only reason I went there was because it was close to my home. But honestly it's not located in a safe or favorable area. There is a new attendant that works there every couple of months. Steer clear! I would rate zero stars if that was an option.
