Their automated text system let me know my order was ready Thursday afternoon, but when I came in Friday at 1:45 a different employee informed me my shirt was not there yet, the truck still hadn't arrived that day but was due around 2. I popped back in a half hour later and she said she was still waiting on the truck but if I gave her my name she would call when my last item was ready. Not a problem. Got another automated text at 4:30 that my order was ready so I came back and walked in smiling. She said 'don't come in here cheesing, I told you I would call and I did twice without answer.' I laughed it off and let her know I didn't get any calls, to which she matter-of-factly read me back a phone number that was not mine. I said I was only back because I got a text, and since they are not open Saturday I needed the shirt before close. She did not apologize, rung me up, and I was on my way (while she got to work explaining to the other customer in line that their son's dress shirt was missing). I brought the majority of my business wardrobe (roughly 30 items) to Impressions upon getting a new job, and had several issues. The first time I got my items back, they had a VERY strong mildew odor. I brought them back, and spoke to a local manager who said bring them back for a comp-ed re-do. He said they had a machinery malfunction and water was poured into the machine when it should not have been and that he personally cleaned it out himself and now things would be fine. I told him it was a time sensitive problem because of this new job, I was going on a business trip, so I needed them back quickly. He told me it would only be a couple of days. Upon picking up my clothes again, they still had the mildew smell. I called the manager again, and he said to bring them back for a refund, and to call him when I got back into the store. Not 15 minutes later, I was back in the store, but now the manager was mysteriously unreachable. I spoke to the owner of the franchises (who sits in Richmond Hill) and he said that refunds were not an option in his business. He said the only option was to have the clothes cleaned again. I told him about my business trip as well, and that I literally did not have the available days to allow the clothes to be cleaned and that I do not trust them with my clothing. He told me I had no other options. He was not willing to give me a partial refund (the bill was $92.90) and the manager said that he could not issue a refund either. I spoke to the manager again, and he said because the bill was so large, he only thought it was a few items, that a refund was not allowable. I said to him, "so you're telling me you just ruined 30 items of dry cleaning [side note, total value of the items is over $3000] and that you have no option for me." I would guess we would want our clothes, which we cannot dry clean ourselves, clean, pressed in some cases, and returned to us in good working order! Check! Superior Dry Cleaners service performed exactly those three things on my behalf with my two-piece suit. 2. I would guess we would want our clothing to be dry cleaned in a reasonable amount of time which I realize varies for all of us depending upon our needs. Check! Superior Dry Cleaners when I called at about 8:20 AM on a Monday morning told me "If you get your suit to us by 10:00 AM we may be able to get it cleaned and returned to you by 4:00 PM this afternoon." Intrigued, I asked "What if I drop it by after 10:00 AM this morning, when would it be ready?" The person replied "tomorrow morning." Check, Check! That is a day ahead of the event for which I needed my suit to attend. 3. I would guess the next item we would all really want is being able to receive exactly those services for a reasonable price. Check! I called around my area to five different Dry Cleaners of varying distances from my home but all within about twenty miles. A. I asked about when they would be able to have my suit cleaned, and back to me. Those answers varied from "this afternoon, if delivered by 10:00 AM this morning" to "next Tuesday" or eight days from now. B. I asked each of the five Dry Cleaning Businesses what my cost would be with tax for their service in cleaning my two-piece suit? Those quotes ranged from a little over $16.00 to $22. and change. C. I am sure you are intelligent enough to guess that the $16.00 quote resulted in an eight day wait for the dry cleaning of my two-piece suit, and getting my suit back as quickly as that afternoon, if I got it in by 10:00 AM was the highest or $22. and change. However, you would be wrong! Superior Dry Cleaning service cost me $20. and change to dry clean my two-piece suit. Is saving almost $2.00 a significant savings when you are paying $20. and change for a service you cannot perform yourself? In my opinion, yes, but your opinion is the only one that counts when making this evaluation! However, when I factor in getting my two-piece suit back in half a day to under 24 hours as opposed waiting eight days from the day I drop the item off, then, in my opinion, Yes! Check, Check, Check! 4. Now here is an varying human factor that some of us do not really care about, some feel neutral about, or some of us really enjoy, want, and appreciate when dealing with a Business providing to us, their customers, their service. That is a polite, respectful, personable, and efficient interaction allowing us all to move on with our day, and in most cases, feel the person we are interacting with cares about our business and that the Business they own or work with will provide exactly what we need done! CHECK, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK! For all these reasons, we, whole heartily (yes, my humorous, wonderful, exciting, organized, pristine and breathtaking beautiful wife was involved here as she volunteered to pick up my two-piece suit as she was already out running errands, thank you again, my love!) agree that Superior Dry Cleaners located at 22549 Wythe Hardee BLVD in Hardeeville SC 29927, directly accross from the Marathon Gas Station which also houses a Hunt Brothers Pizza at the Main Street traffic light and whose building itself looks like, you guessed it, a gas station building (which is only because this building formerly housed a gas station. Surprise, surprise, surprise, thanks Gomer!) offers an excellent result, is an outstanding value, and are wonderful people with whom we enjoy trusting our of dry cleaning needs too (Out of breath yet? I certainly am as that sentence was much too long, lol). Why use Superior Dry Cleaners? THEIR "REPAIR" RUINED MY SOFA UPHOLSTERY! DON'T GO HERE!…read more The upholstery on my sofa detaches and is machine washable. I tore it while putting it back on. I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.
