Hostile, unprofessional, unstable employee (Charmaine ) -- awful experience in front of children. No resolution from management. I've been a regular at the Suds on Skidaway Road (Savannah Location) for years with no issues -- until I encountered Charmaine. From the moment I walked in, she looked irritated that I was even there. She offered no help, had a nasty attitude, and became aggressive when I asked a simple question about my receipt after paying in exact cash. The card machine was broken, and when I offered to pay in cash, she rudely told me it had to be exact cash in a very nasty tone. After I paid, she handwrote "needs to pay" on my receipt and highlighted it, which left me confused. When I asked for clarification to avoid issues later, she became hostile, started yelling, and behaved in a highly unprofessional manner -- all in front of her own children who were present- one being behind the counter and handling customer's laundry -and my child, who was with me at the time. She also made unsettling comments about my clothes that made me fear she might intentionally damage them. I was genuinely concerned that she may have access to my card information and could misuse it. She yelled " that's why you have to bring your stank a** clothes in here to wash, you uppity bi***. This behavior was completely inappropriate and honestly unnecessary -- especially in front of children. This review is specifically about Charmaine who appeared to be mentally unstable. When I reported this matter, there was no apology or feedback from the store manager( Brittany) at all. She shared that when Charmaine called her about me requesting a receipt, she did not hear Charmaine being disrespectful because the phone hung up. However, this is untrue because I heard her on speaker phone in collaboration with her. Charmaine grew so angry she went outside leaning against a car yelling about me to her on the phone as I was leaving. Also when escalated to district manager (Christie), she did not follow up with me later like she assured. She did call initially after I called multiple stores sharing the incident. She assured she would be sure to follow up with me that afternoon regarding what would be happening. However, she did not. I had to follow up with her, and when I called her, she behaved as if she did not know who I was- initially , and also did not seem very apologetic towards the situation. She shared she was still investigating, but her tone was much different than earlier - there was no interest or concern for my experience. It seemed as if she was annoyed I was following up. I expressed that I did not feel comfortable with the situation or how it was being handled and she suggested that I go to another Suds location. Smh. When I went to go pick up my clothing, there was no sign of remorse. There was no apology and the worker was still there actively working. The store manager was present (Brittany) and did not offer an ounce of acknowledgment or accountability . Very disappointing. The only reason I went there was because it was close to my home. But honestly it's not located in a safe or favorable area. There is a new attendant that works there every couple of months. Steer clear! I would rate zero stars if that was an option. read more

I have been doing laundry there for the past two years. It was pretty good at first and slowly went downhill the laundry soap they use does not get out stains or grease stains and does not whiten clothes. That's for sure. I have had a lot of clothes ruined by them and I've even have them give me other people's clothes when I came to pick up my clothes also have been folded inside out. I really think if you're paying service and it's professional they should use proper cleaners. Turn your right side out and be sure they give you the right person's laundry back. Found Suds after trying two other laundromats in Savannah - one closed and the other no attendant on premises. Suds had friendly staff, clean facility, machines that take debit/credit cards, and efficient and working machines. We did our own load wash and dry within one hour! Would definitely use again if in Savannah. It is a drive from the historic district but worth the drive!! Near Savannah State University campus. read more

This place is great, clean and great staff! We just moved her and our dryer was not working and discovered this wonderful place. They have laundry service as well that we took advantage of since we had just moved and no time to wash and fold our selves. They can have it done same day or at a reduced price for next day. They also have military and emergency responders pricing. $1.00 for ems 1.35 lb. I went again later that week to wash and every time I sent to drop off pick up and actually do my own laundry the girls were cleaning, mopping wiping, checking machines and were very friendly. read more

Stopped by here to dry clothes since we didn't have time to dry them at our AirBnB before checkout. The staff here went out of their way to help us with the correct settings, brought us a rolling basket, and even brought us some hangers! There was an older gentleman that was 73 who worked there and was the absolute sweetest and friendliest conversationalist we've met while in Georgia! I highly recommend this place and couldn't be happier that our circumstances led us here today! If you find yourself in need of a laundromat definitely stop by here! They offer full service laundry needs as well where you can drop everything off and they even fold it for you after it's all clean! read more

We extended our stay in Savannah and needed to wash. Came here because they take cards. All were working and in fact, a few took cards only because the coin part was out. Soap machine and snack machine do not take cards, however. If you use cash, you don't have to turn a $20 into quarters, there is a bill machine that breaks large bills. VERY clean. This location is always pretty busy. The floors are always pretty trashed with dryer sheets and wrappers. Many of the machines have the card slots taped over for coin use only. I come here for the convenience of not carrying cash, so not having many card slots working is a bit disappointing when they are busy. The bathrooms are never clean. As far as cleanliness of the actual machines... They're ok. Sometimes will find trash left over from the previous wash. read more

The best thing about this laundromat on Tuesdays is that it's not busy. Wednesdays they offer 25% off. We drove a long way because of the great ratings but it didn't seem much better than the local laundromats where we live. The restrooms were out of service and it was kind of smelly. I don't remember ever seeing such a well/equipped and clean Laundromat. They have washers from small for $2. to ginormous for $10, (but certainly well worth the price for huge rugs or bedding). We used their drop off service of wash and fold and everything was well cared for. The price is reasonable! The clothes were folded as I would have done myself. I highly recommend this place for locals and for those, like us, who are driving through and want to get clothes washed quickly and effortlessly. read more

I have some experience in using laundromats in the past and this place is great in comparison! Clean, many machines of different sizes,which accept credit cards and coins (so there is no need to have coins -unless you are buying detergent here), employee on duty is very friendly and helpful, free wifi! On top of all that, the place is open 24/7.. What else can you possibly wish for when you come to a place to do your laundry? The only things that are missing in my opinion are freshly baked croissants, Starbucks coffee and leather couches :) On a serious note, I would recommend this place to anyone-no complains. read more

Wow! I travel extensively for work and this time around I find myself in Savannah for 3 weeks. This place is great! I've used the Wash and Fold service twice now and it has been the best experience of this type anywhere! The prices are very reasonable and the turnaround has been ridiculously fast. Maria has been there both times to take my laundry and she is amazing! Very friendly and efficient. Stopped in at Spin City on Victory Drive only to discover their machines don't accept cash and the card reader was broken the first two I tried. Hightailed it over to Suds since the reviews sounded promising. Wow! What a place. Clean as a whistle with a friendly and helpful attendant. Their machines accept cash or cards. This laundromat was very clean and the person working there was extremely nice. I guess I'm the only one voting as low a I am but it's just too costly for me. I just paid $20 to wash clothes I could have washed at the hotel for $8 - but that was my fault; both my son and his girlfriend warned me not to use the one at the hotel here because no one knows what people put in them and the ones at laundromats are kept up and with cleaning and maintenance. I guess part of the issue was I am from PA and their washers that are $6 dollars are only $3 where I lived. And dryers are $2.25 and per extra quarter you can add more time if you need to, not pay another full price of $2.25 for another 30 minutes. I mean really, what clothes need another 30 minutes? Most things are cheaper down here but this was twice my twice my cost - well and only my dryer was broke in PA and the washer hasn't gotten here...so I didn't have to wash too much there. However, I will say with this move I am penny pinching so this may all be on me! read more
