    Kids tenders (minus one)

cool place that's been around a long time. In a gas station but TASTY. We ordered at the counter and they brought food. Kids menu is a HUGE plus. Lots of seafood- fried or steamed. HUGE fish portion. The sides- the minus to them is they all sound good, so it's too hard to decide! Good for kids, adults, people passing through. Some seating and there were larger tables for groups. Some salad for your vegetarian friends but it's a seafood joint!

Found this place while camping at Kiptopeke state park which is just down the street from here. It's part of a gas station but don't let that fool ya. If you're craving fried seafood , this place slaps. The staff inside were incredibly nice given how busy they were. People tend to come here in big groups. We ended up getting a couple of king platters so we could try a bit of everything. The fried fish was fantastic and our group finished it all pretty quickly. The waitress made sure we were taken care of. I will say that this isn't fast food. Expect to wait a bit because everything is made to order fresh. We were so hungry and devoured everything before I could remember to take a pic. I'll have to remember for next time cuz we'll definitely hit this place up again next time we camp here.

Okay, so a cafe attached to a gas station can be really good! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had 4 people and arrived around 8 am. An egg sandwich, eggs over medium with cheese grits and corned beef hash and two of the eggs with sausage. Everything was tasty. It was funny that when we arrived, there were two Virginia State Police and by the time we left there were three. I thought it was interesting that they had so much time just to hang out. Anyway, good food, nice staff and good coffee. I'd eat here again for sure.

The breakfast was like how a mother cooks to feed a family. The flavor and portions were great. Everyone was friendly and I liked how it was set up to where you can sit down and eat at your own pace.

Favorite part lace to eat seafood when we are in the area! Consistently fresh seafood every time we stop. The sides change Dailey but we have never been disappointed with the selection. Cooked to perfection! They offer fried or broiled option. Flounder, oysters, scallops all cooked perfectly and seasoned great. Don't let location fool you., it's in the back of a gas station;)

Sting-Ray's hit the spot in an area without a lot of options. It won't let you down nor will it blow you out of the water. 'A-Ok' is the perfect shortened review. Sting-Ray's is more than just a restaurant. It is a bit of everything similar to the Cracker Barrel chain. You'll see a souvenir shop and gas station out front. One you get to the restaurant, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and have plenty of options to select. If you can't decide, they have the choose two (three or four). These combos come with two sides and are priced reasonable. I split the choose 4, trying the fried oysters, catfish, crab cake, and clam strips. I wasn't impressed with the oysters or the catfish, but very happy with the clam and crab. We tried slaw and hush puppies for our sides. The meal fed two easily. I wouldn't make multiple trips in a single stay, however, I would go back should I take another trip down to the area.

The BEST cornbread I've ever had!

Good was good: the kids enjoyed their meals and my husband loved the catfish, high puppies and cornbread.

We popped in for a casual beer break, and it quickly turned into one of the highlights of the day. The space itself is gorgeous! It's open, airy and designed with a laid-back coastal vibe that fits Cape Charles perfectly. You order both beer and food inside at the counter, which keeps things easy and low- key. I went with the Pilsner, and it was exactly what I wanted, perfect after a day out exploring. Their beer list has something for everyone, whether you're into lighter options or something with a bit more depth. We didn't order food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. They've got plenty of options like burgers, nachos, and other brewery favorites that definitely seemed worth trying next time. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There was so much going on in the best way. They had a dog adoption event happening outside while we were there, which added such a fun, community-driven vibe. They also host live music and other events regularly, so it feels like there's always something to check out. The outdoor space is huge and perfect if you're with a group or bringing kids. There's a fire pit, games like cornhole, and plenty of room to spread out and hang for a while. Definitely the kind of place you plan to stop at for one drink and end up staying much longer. I will be adding this to my must visit list anytime I'm on the Eastern Shore.

I would have ordered an extra side of onion rings if I had prior knowledge of the up-charge. In addition, I ordered a Hefeweizen for a summer beverage. It was alright, I would have loved to sample a few beers. I am looking forward to trying a few other beers next visit. The vibe was hometown relaxation and family friendly. Outside dining looked great for a cooler afternoon or evening.

It's a quaint little shop where you can buy fresh seafood, groceries, as well as different pastries and other dishes at the deli counter. I was originally in the mood for an Italian sandwich, but after speaking with the employee working the counter, I got a Shrimo Po' Boy because he said "The way we make em here, you won't find anywhere else." After one bite, I realized exactly what he meant; the shrimp were so fresh that I just knew they were caught straight out of the Cheseapeake Bay that same morning. I was also a fan of the thinly sliced French fries. I got a lemon square to eat after my sandwich, and it was also so good that I grabbed a slice of rainbow cake to go. The rainbow cake was good, but a tad dry, so definitely go for the lemon square if you're looking for a dessert here. All in all, the beach market is a great stop for anybody looking for a quick bite to eat or to support a local grocer in Cape Charles.

Just a wide as steak fries but sliced ribbon-thin and very well seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and maybe a little parmesan. And if you enjoy a thick fat Italian sub, this is it. The smell of smoke hits you as soon as you step out of the car--which is always a great sign. We were greeted and seated quickly, and our waitress was attentive from the start. She walked us through the highlights and shared a few of her personal favorites, which was a nice touch. We kicked things off with the Oyster Rockefeller. The oysters themselves were nearly perfect, though the dish leaned a bit salty. Still, a solid start. The crab soup was good as well--also slightly on the salty side, which could just come down to personal preference. Now to the burnt ends--one of my go-to orders anywhere. I'm happy to say these didn't disappoint. Like others have mentioned, the brisket was a touch dry but still impressively tender and full of flavor. The BBQ nachos were messy in the best way and packed with flavor--definitely a hit, especially with my son. As for the slaw, we were told it would be "wet," but it's actually on the drier side, so keep that in mind depending on your preference. Overall, a really enjoyable stop with good food and friendly service. We'd definitely come back again.
