We ordered takeout Tom Yum soup. It was our 1st time ordering at this restaurant; we're trying new cuisines. I don't like to give bad reviews. The flavor deserves a 5, but the woody, inedibles and the unexpected sediment at the bottom of bowl I won't excuse.

Toddler size portion of mussaman curry with rice. Pay full price for half the portion.

The atmosphere here is quiant and nicely decorated, albeit small with tables being close together. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was really good, with authentic Thai flavors. The issue: the portions. The resturant has attached the name tapas to thier title. This implies small plates, which is exactly what you get, despite ordering a full meal entree. My companion ordered the summer rolls. These were completely filled with lettuce (no noodles) and looked unappetizing. She did not enjoy. We both ordered the drunken noodles. She ordered extra veggies, and I ordered chicken. Mine had very little chicken, and the portion size was small. I also ordered the mussaman curry chicken. This was the smallest curry portion size I've ever received from the dozens of Thai restaurants I've been too. The portion of rice, was actually equal to the portion of curry. It was kind of insulting based on the prices of the entrees. Seems like they're cashing in on the tourism in the area. We traveled from Ocean City Maryland to try this place out, but will not do so again.

Tiny container

Even if the food was fantastic - it was average - I would never order from sticky rice again because of the teeny tiny portions. I have had side dishes in larger containers and I had to pay $3 for that mini container of rice. See my pictures.

Chicken Pad Thai

Perfect service! Very nice and welcoming. The Massaman Curry was amazing and had lots of carrots. Pad Thai was also delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more items.

Sticky rice with grilled pork

I like the sticky rice with grilled pork. The price of the food is reasonable, but I feel guilty as if I disturbed the staff while they were eating. I would like to suggest that the restaurant provide seats for the staff so that they do not have to face the customers who come to eat in the restaurant. I don't hate them but I feel sorry for them.

drunken noodles

we got the drunken noodles and pad see ew and they were both delicious! we asked for it spicy and it was definitely very spicy and flavorful. will definitely be back. the ambiance was also very cute and the service was fast.

Good. Seems a little expensive for smaller sizes, but not too bad. I got Pad See Ew (veg) and thought it was okay. Veggies mostly broccoli and mushroom with a little carrot, and noodles seemed overcooked/mushy. I also got Red Curry with Chicken. Pretty spicy (2 peppers), fairly tasty, chicken a little overcooked/dry but overall, good. One I get back in Lancaster is a little less sharp in flavor, and I prefer that. The mango sticky rice was delicious. Taking another dessert home for my hubby, along with leftovers. Got takeout, but young man was pleasant greeting me, got food in about 15 minutes. Decorated cute inside- may eat there next time.

Food is not that good and food portions are smaller than I thought. I had to buy a sandwich nearby. But dessert is pretty good.

Bathroom was very clean. I ordered appetizer chicken satay (4 pieces ) with the most wonderful peanut sauce. Also ordered Thai fried rice with chicken. It was very good. Service was a highlight; the staff was attentive and accommodating, even with our large group. We were also able to split checks by party, which was convenient. As for the food, I ordered the Panang Curry, and my mom had the drunken noodles with tofu. I also got a Thai tea, which was disappointing--it was packed with ice and ended up tasting watered down. The Panang Curry had great flavor but was much thinner in consistency than expected, more like a soup than a true curry. The drunken noodles, unfortunately, were overcooked, mushy, and overly salty. While the service was great, the food did not meet my expectations.

Thereafter, the food on the "Asian Fusion" menu sounds great, but leaves much to be desired. More confusion, than fusion. Dumpling Special is a cool notion (why not save a few bucks?). But, when it arrives without ginseng slivers, nor a spoon for dripping the dark vinegar into the removed top knot to mix with the beef soup within the Xiao Long Bau, it becomes apparent skill is lacking in the kitchen. It doesn't help that these dough pouches are commercially bought and not made by knowing hands. The Singapore Black Pepper Crab bowl was sure Szechuan spicy enough, but had so little crab that my crustacean loving wife turned on her phone flashlight to find some. They were ground so small that they were nearly invisible, but could be slightly tasted by their mild sweetness. Just not enough substance to balance the other ingredients. My Cumin Lamb Ho Fun was likewise deep into the heat and looked good with the fat noodles mixed throughout. However, once again the kitchen's lack of deftness appeared with too many tough, stringy and fatty pieces of lamb that were unpleasant and overbore the generally decent quality of the rest of the dish. From my experience, that only happens when attention isn't paid to the texture of the meat when slicing. Cutting lamb against the grain is a no-no. So, even though I enjoyed the Moon Door entrance, the Bodhi (Enlightenment) name and all the on point Asian decor, it was disappointing that all that spirituality stopped at the kitchen door. 2.5 Shakyamuni-less Stars.

Once I saw shrimp and grits on the menu, I immediately zeroed in on that. I love shrimp and grits going back to my Winchester days. Succulent shrimp, cheesy grits, and a nice porky meat to give it extra character. Here they use chorizo. But ham or bacon are good options as well. I also like that they give you eight big pieces of shrimp. Not like other restaurants that only give you two or four prawns and call it a day. The crab bisque is good too. A tasty soup that works well this time of year. Even though it was cold the first go around, the second one tasted hot and fresh. Of course it would taste good. The Delmarva region is abundant in crabs. Just as I would expect a clam chowder to taste great in New England or Manhattan. One thing to nitpick, it should come with oyster crackers, not saltines. They work better when it comes to a bisque or a chowder. Besides that, I have little to complain about.

Located in the quaint downtown, Striper Bites pays homage to Lewes' history as a former Dutch whaling and port city with nautical themed decor. Large wooden barrels, ship steering wheels, mounted fish and nets adorn the walls and accent the dark wooden furniture and color palette. There is a diverse menu, but when I'm in town with friends and family...I keep it simple. I'll usually start with one of the many beers on draft; check the chalkboard for what's on tap from the ever changing selection. The crab dip is an AMAZING appetizer. Chunks of crab meat are mixed in with cheese, given a quick bake, and served with buttered toast points. Great for sharing. You can also ask for additional pieces of bread (which I usually do) to sop up any residual dip. The bistro burger is nothing fancy...but everything a good pub style burger should be. A well seasoned angus beef patty is grilled is topped with aged white cheddar, bacon jam, house sauce, arugula, and nestled in a briche bun. The side of fries are also nice and crispy. Honestly, I've had the fish and chips, the fried shrimp, and other seafood dishes, and no suprise, it's all good. Service is always friendly, but not always as "prompt" when it gets busy - which in the summer during the high tourist season - but that's to be understood. Every town needs a neighborhood gathering spot like Striper Bites.

The rolls were just fine, but at $25 for some of the rolls I was expecting much better, and the non-sushi food was entirely unexciting. It would have been a 3 had it not been for over an hour wait after ordering, but I do think a 2 is appropriate. Also it was pretty hot in there for a sushi place!

It had become a meaningful family tradition for all of us. Just might be unfriendly and coarse treatment We often got from the food pick up area, it wasn't enough to keep us away. During our most recent visit, a roach crawled off my husband's plate. When we brought the food back and try to discreetly inform the manager, manager Lauren appeared annoyed, dismissed the situation by saying it "probably came from the produce," and never once apologized. She grabbed the food and walked away, shaking her head annoyed while saying they would replace it. When I calmly expressed that her response felt rude given the circumstances, she became defensive and downright, rude and abusive rather than compassionate. What happened next was even more disturbing. After remaking the food, Lauren and another manager, Ashley, were seen pointing, laughing, and mocking my husband as he walked away. When he returned the replacement meal and requested a refund instead, Lauren made an inappropriate comment about his anatomy, and Ashley made a shocking remark implying he was abusing his wife. Finding an insect in food is bad enough. Being humiliated and treated with such hostility afterward was unacceptable. After years of loyalty to this location, our family will not be returning.
