Visited Raas on our second night in Lewes after our ferry got in. We came pretty late, maybe around 7:45pm so it was definitely starting to clear out. When you walk up, there's pretty lighting outside which I imagine would be nice if it wasn't 45 degrees and windy. The restaurant is in one of the big houses you see along the streets and it's been converted into a restaurant but still has the bones of the house. You can tell someone once lived in it, which is really neat. We had a waitress who was insanely nice and helpful. I can't recall her name but she was everything. She guided us through the menu and helped with my food allergy and somewhat picky eating habits. She also chit chatted with us at the end and answered some questions about the area. We ended up getting the chili olive naan (pictured) as an appetizer and she recommended we go light on the chili based on our likes/dislikes, and this was good for us. I ordered the game hen for my entree and it was plated beautifully (pictured). The green sauce was surprisingly so good and I wish I had more. Everything was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had the mousse (pictured), which she assured us was allergy friendly and checked twice. It was very unique and light yet filling. I'm surprised I liked this place because I don't typically love Indian food but this place made me want more! Definitely recommend coming here.

We had such an amazing time at Raas. The staff took care of us so well - we got to sample the Mango Lassi, and Lentils (which was so nice because it's impossible to decide!) The bartender was amazing and recommended all the best stuff. Can honestly say 10/10 for anything you order. Highly recommend the Swordfish appetizer, Chili Cheese Garlic Naan, and the Cinnamon Chicken Tikka! We will absolutely be back!

We came here with another couple for dinner on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday and the overall experience was great! The food was amazing Indian food and kind of unexpected for Lewes. All of our appetizers were great, especially the cauliflower. I ordered the chicken tikka masala for my entree and it was a really good version of your standard Indian dish. My husband's lamb shank was also really good and flavorful and huge! The restaurant was super accommodating and helpful in getting dessert out for our friend's birthday, too and made it a nice experience and a bit of a surprise!

    Save room for dessert.

Best Indian Restaurant I've ever been to in Maryland and Delaware. The food is amazing and the service wonderful. Beautiful dining room. We will definitely be back.

The interior is beautiful and cozy. The staff (waiter's name was Jonathan) were so kind and took extra time to explain everything to us. They made mutter paneer for me, which was so sweet given that it wasn't on the menu. We had paratha, naan, and roti with our meals and they were all amazing. The cooks prioritized making sure we loved the food, and we did! We are from DC and have been spoiled by the great Indian food there, which set a higher standard for us, and we feel super lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in Lewes. Every single thing was perfect!

Always Delicious and attentive service. Our favorite spot in Lewes. I highly recommend the garlic naan for those who love lots of garlic.

The ambiance was very cozy and intimate with a view of the chef's station. The owner and our server Lindsey were so warm and welcoming. Due to it being my first time there they assisted me with making my selections and I enjoyed every dish.

It's always satisfying when you find a place with impeccable service and mouthwatering food, and I've found it in Raas. Our server was attentive, informative, and kind from the moment we sat down. We had a whole fish and lamb shank and the fish was so good that we ate the whole thing just between two people. We already plan on coming back next year just for that! The desserts were unique and well thought out. The only reason it's not five stars for me is because the lamb wasn't totally fall of the bone (which was really okay) and it wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked. If you don't have enough of the sauce with it, it was under seasoned by itself.

Thereafter, the food on the "Asian Fusion" menu sounds great, but leaves much to be desired. More confusion, than fusion. Dumpling Special is a cool notion (why not save a few bucks?). But, when it arrives without ginseng slivers, nor a spoon for dripping the dark vinegar into the removed top knot to mix with the beef soup within the Xiao Long Bau, it becomes apparent skill is lacking in the kitchen. It doesn't help that these dough pouches are commercially bought and not made by knowing hands. The Singapore Black Pepper Crab bowl was sure Szechuan spicy enough, but had so little crab that my crustacean loving wife turned on her phone flashlight to find some. They were ground so small that they were nearly invisible, but could be slightly tasted by their mild sweetness. Just not enough substance to balance the other ingredients. My Cumin Lamb Ho Fun was likewise deep into the heat and looked good with the fat noodles mixed throughout. However, once again the kitchen's lack of deftness appeared with too many tough, stringy and fatty pieces of lamb that were unpleasant and overbore the generally decent quality of the rest of the dish. From my experience, that only happens when attention isn't paid to the texture of the meat when slicing. Cutting lamb against the grain is a no-no. So, even though I enjoyed the Moon Door entrance, the Bodhi (Enlightenment) name and all the on point Asian decor, it was disappointing that all that spirituality stopped at the kitchen door. 2.5 Shakyamuni-less Stars.

However, despite their impressive vegetarian selections, I was told upon arriving well before closing that they did not have any rice, salad, congee, or vegetarian pho. What's left, one might ask? The answer was vermicelli noodles with chargrilled tofu. These came with some pickled carrots and daikon. The tofu grilled up fantastically and had a delicious marinade. I'm told they get a fair number of vegan customers. There's not a lot else around. The quality was there, but I'd suggest coming early as keeping food in stock seems to be a challenge. I ordered a tea with a weird artificial grape flavor but also some nice fresh grapes and boba. The place runs as 100% takeout at the moment. This is not a huge drawback as one normally does not come to remote beach islands to sit inside, and if the weather is bad you probably have a hotel. I would like to come back and see if I can find reason to given them a higher rating.

I've been to many places that modify their menu to accommodate an allergy. I got the firecracker shrimp with brown rice. The shrimp was tasty but not as hot as i'd like it and a little on the sweet side. My wife did get a nice salmon dish which was fine for her allergy and she did enjoy it. Unfortunately we just had salmon the night before so she was looking for a change. The place itself looks great and the service was good for our large table.
