Southwest chicken salad with no tomato
    Beth K.

I'm loving Panera's new menu. Lately I've been on a Panera kick. The Greek goddess salad is so good! A blend of romaine, kale, and arugula with a creamy avocado, buttermilk, dressing. 490 calories love. I love the duet with either soup or salad and half sandwich! My fav is the chicken chipotle avocado melt. Toasty focaccia bread layered with chipotle mayo, avocado slices, smoked chicken, and pepper dew peppers. The pepper dew peppers make this sandwich! I'm loving this sweet Piquante pepper.

I ordered Toasted Garden Caprese. It was soggy with the aoli and vinegarette, one small piece of cheese and limp lettuce snd tomato. I used to love Panera, but since they changed their menu, it has been horrible. It was "To Go" so I didn't open until I got home. What a mess!! I was inedible.

    Half full green goddess salad

How is it that I pay $11.69 for a Green Goddess Cobb Salad, when i come home open the bag im not only missing my egg, my salad came half full. I am very disappointed that I paid $11.69 for a salad that was half way done. We raise minimum wage for this? Dealing with these type of restaurants where we get take out your customers are supposed to trust they are getting everything they asked for. Especially when paying $11.69 for a salad.

Vegetarian Creamy Tomato Soup (without croutons)--gluten free

The food here was so on-point on a cold day in the off-season that I almost gave Panera 4 stars but the person taking our order made a few minor errors. She gave and charged me for a larger soup than I ordered, as well as gave me chips instead of an apple. However, she did get all the gluten free substitutions (no croutons) exactly right. Panera does have a very helpful page on their website about what is gluten free (I would recommend googling it before you order!). Honestly, this was the perfect lunch and really hit the spot, I just wish the staff was a little bit more attentive to the details.

there was hair melted in the Flatbread. Couldn't even pull it out it was stuck in the cheese. Threw the whole slice away.

Thereafter, the food on the "Asian Fusion" menu sounds great, but leaves much to be desired. More confusion, than fusion. Dumpling Special is a cool notion (why not save a few bucks?). But, when it arrives without ginseng slivers, nor a spoon for dripping the dark vinegar into the removed top knot to mix with the beef soup within the Xiao Long Bau, it becomes apparent skill is lacking in the kitchen. It doesn't help that these dough pouches are commercially bought and not made by knowing hands. The Singapore Black Pepper Crab bowl was sure Szechuan spicy enough, but had so little crab that my crustacean loving wife turned on her phone flashlight to find some. They were ground so small that they were nearly invisible, but could be slightly tasted by their mild sweetness. Just not enough substance to balance the other ingredients. My Cumin Lamb Ho Fun was likewise deep into the heat and looked good with the fat noodles mixed throughout. However, once again the kitchen's lack of deftness appeared with too many tough, stringy and fatty pieces of lamb that were unpleasant and overbore the generally decent quality of the rest of the dish. From my experience, that only happens when attention isn't paid to the texture of the meat when slicing. Cutting lamb against the grain is a no-no. So, even though I enjoyed the Moon Door entrance, the Bodhi (Enlightenment) name and all the on point Asian decor, it was disappointing that all that spirituality stopped at the kitchen door. 2.5 Shakyamuni-less Stars.

"Can you show me the shine of your Japan? The sparkle of…read moreyour China, can you show me? Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva" (Steely Dan) Bodhi Kitchen is an absolutely beautiful Asian restaurant in downtown Rehoboth Beach where you'll find their menu dotted with delicacies from Thailand, Korea, China, Vietnam and Japan. When you walk in, the bar is right in front of you, and the two-level dining room is to your right. We sat in the upper level and the thing that struck me immediately was how pretty the room was. There were two kinds of hanging lantern-style lights, and some of them had flickering gold bulbs that resembled candlelight. It was a beautiful effect. The menu is a real tour-de-force with dishes like Peking Duck Tacos, Shaoxing Braised Duck Laab, Pork Belly Steam Bun, Braised Cumin Lamb Ho Fun, and Singapore Black Pepper Crab. In addition to all that, they have nightly specials like a "Curry Night", "Asian Street Food Night", or "Dim Sum Night" among others. We happened to visit on Dim Sum Night, so that's where we went on the menu. We ordered two of their Dim Sum specials - six Pork Soup Dumplings ($13) with ground pork, ginger, scallion, rice wine and pork broth, and a Dumpling Sampler ($17) with two each of Pork Belly and Kim Chi dumplings, Shiitake and Chinese Sausage Dumplings, and Szechuan Chicken Dumplings. I had the sampler and thought it was very good. The three varieties all delivered plenty of flavor, and the pork belly and Szechuan chicken dumplings also came through with their advertised heat from peppercorns, five spice and chili oil. Our server Paula was friendly and professional. All in all, Bodhi scored high in ambience, food, and service.

Service was quick and personable which is really not that common anymore. Pickle chips were super tasty with a good sauce. We both had sandwiches and both barely finished half, the portions are worth 2 regular or 3 small meals! The chicken could have used more seasoning but it was plenty. The salmon burger was also huge and perfectly cooked. What everyone knows to be true is- you want to be fed well and have a great time trying new drinks, definitely check out Dogfish.

I had the Rhinestone Cowboy burger, which was seasoned well and medium rare, but it was dry, especially around the edges. The bbq sauce was delicious. The fries were ok but not crispy. We tried the Coconut Etiquette beer, which as very refreshing and not as fruity as expected, which is a good thing; very subtle coconut notes. Wouldn't go back.

For the appetizer section they had a lovely sounding beet salad which our entire table picked only to be told they were sold out - how you sell out of a salad on a price fixe menu when you only have 3 options I am unsure but regardless we were not interested in any of the other options so our lovely server and manager made us a Greek salad instead which was great. For my main I had the crab cakes which couldn't have been better. I loved every bit of them. Finally for dessert I had the pistachio baklava which to be honest was not great but that's alright. Service was impeccable. Ambiance is interesting, we didn't realize this was a hotel as well and the hotel reception is quite literally in the restaurant which threw me off a bit but otherwise the ambiance was fine. Overall I don't know that I am rushing back to Sirocco but I wouldn't say to stay away either.

We made our way through the lobby and were joined by a friend visiting from Scottsdale, AZ. Our meal featured two Mango Creamsicles, crafted with vanilla vodka, Liquor 43, mango puree, and cream, priced at $14 each. I also opted for the $22 ahi tuna poke bowl, which included rice, avocado, edamame, radishes, carrots, seaweed salad, toasted sesame seeds, spicy aioli, and soy sauce. The bartender was very friendly and talented with the cocktail creations. The Old Fashions were spot on! My wife tried one of their specialty drinks that had a frozen ball of different flavors/liquors in it then prosecco is poured over. As the ice ball melts different flavor appear.
