    These people are absolute scumbags, who don't know how to run a business. I used them, against my…read morebetter judgment, because they serviced a house that I had purchased. From the beginning, they were awful, then, they had an issue with a credit card on file and did not reach out to me for at least a year, finally getting in touch with me telling me I owed them over $1000. This was shocking, I went ahead and paid it and told them to piss off. Fast-forward several months and they continue to send me bills, despite the fact that they do nothing, and now some moron, their name, Francesca, who clearly doesn't understand how collections work, has threatened to "begin collection procedures" because I no longer am a client with them. In addition to her being an absolute idiot, she doesn't understand contract law either. Do yourself a favor and go with a reputable company not these clowns !

    I used Sentry for the past 7 years. The service was very expensive to setup, but was reliable for…read moremany years. Over the last few years, the service has dropped off along with the equipment. Alarms go off and it takes sometimes up to 5 mins to receive a call. We also started getting false alarms with several of the window sensors. We asked for a service call, first time in 6 years, and they wanted to charge us just to have someone come out. On top of that, they tried to sell us a new device saying our original version would stop working soon. They asked for $300 and a three year service contract and when I said no they just suggested I replace the batteries on the sensors. That worked for about 6 months and then again started having issues every week with false alarms. I finally decided it wasn't worth the $125/quarter service charge and called to cancel the service. I was asked to send in WRITTEN LETTER to cancel. I objected and was then told to send an email and it could take up to 30 days to cancel. When I objected again the manager became aggressive and hung up. They would not confirm that I prepaid or how much would be credited back. Avoid as there are much better options, at lower costs, with better customer service. Just look at the rest of the reviews on yelp and you will see a pattern.

Last summer, we had a break-in at our condo entrance, and found a need for a Full Length Interlocking Door Guard. (Highly recommended as burglars love to shimmy a screwdriver between your door and lock & open into your place easier than a SPAM can.) Pro Video Security let us select the guard. They gave a great bid to put install. We even chose to do 2 doors, given their great rate. Flash forward to 6 months later we found a small (but significant) installation error on one of the doors. Rather than haggle and hassle, they came right out and fixed it at ZERO extra cost. (As expected.) On top of that: The fix came right on time. We caught this picture of a rather infamous trio (USPS is after them) trying to break in and being foiled by the door guard. SEE PIC.

I wanted to be able to keep a watch on the dogs and also of course on my house in general. I bought the equipment from Provideo and I am all the way in California, so I had a local person install the equipment for me, and Perry took over the remote customer service, which has been far above and beyond what anybody could ever expect from customer service. If anything goes wrong, he is right there ready to help me fix it and get it up and running again. I could probably find someone locally, but there is no way I would ever find such great, friendly, knowledgeable customer service. So wherever you are in the world, these guys are the best!
