The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. He was able to manually access the system, unlock BitLocker, repair the corrupted boot configuration, rebuild the necessary Windows files, and get the machine fully operational again -- without wiping my data. I was initially looking at a good $500 repair from most places and knew it was hopeless. But luckily I stumbled upon Angelo's via Google search and to my surprise he fixed my laptop screen like it was brand new all within half the price which other places offered. Angelo was also very humble and kind as he unfortunately sustained an injury prior to that week and I knew my laptop was going to be fixed in at least 2 weeks due to his injury. But Angelo didn't waste any time and somehow fixed my laptop screen with just one hand in a matter of a few days. A couple of computers had stopped talking to each other and passwords were messed up. I couldn't get the answers or solutions I needed from websites. I was frustrated. I had never used a consultant but Yelp directed me to Nestech Computers. I worked with Shawn of Nestech for an hour and a half. He remoted in to both my computers at the same time to see, test, diagnose, and adjust settings to success. He was knowledgeable and thorough in addressing my problems. He also cared about my whole network to add some extra network adjustments to improve its operation. I would use Nestech again. They left me with network nirvana, devices that all work together nicely.

Comcast had run new cable from the pole but when the problem continued, it became my fault, not theirs. I scrambled to find an independent IT contractor and after a few failed attempts, called Lebowitz IT Services. He ran a "ping test" diagnosis on my modem (which I lease from Comcast) and while the signal was strong, there were inconsistencies that could have been enough to interrupt my service. I then insisted Comcast send another tech and sure enough, that was the problem. They actually had to "dumb-down" my modem to an older model that was more tolerant of the inconstancies. I can certainly recommend Mark for any home business IT work.

The owner, Alex, is a nice dude, but a poor communicator. My laptop was having crashes, and I…read moredropped it off in early June for troubleshooting/diagnosis. I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.
