Had all the locks changed last year. They were fast, knowledgeable and reliable. The locks they installed work superbly. I would use them again. Buy with confidence. read more

This company flat out deceived us. I was told $75 to 95 per lock to rekey 2 locks over the phone so made an appointment. They ended up charging nearly $700 and the invoice had no amounts listed for each task which is deceiving. I fell for those glowing albeit suspicious 5 star reviews that overshadow the negative ones. Make sure they tell you the prices up front. Had I known all the other charges they added after they got here, I would have never booked them. I love supporting local businesses, but not ones that knowingly take advantage of people by not being upfront with costs so we can make an informed decision. No mention of any other fees when I made the appointment. I called several other locksmiths after to check and sent pictures and was not quoted more than $200 to $250 all in for what they charged nearly $700 for. They took advantage. I now notice they arent BBB accredited and I understand why bc that requires a company to "operate honestly and with integrity" along with 8 other standards and when you bait and switch people that wouldn't be possible. read more

If you read my previous review, you'll see that I've had this company out twice since moving into my new home. This time was the third time. During the first visit, I was given the option of either re-keying my existing locks or replacing them entirely. I chose to have the locks re-keyed, thinking that would be sufficient. What I didn't realize was that re-keying can result in issues with how the key fits and operates in the lock. That service cost $900. Unfortunately, the new keys frequently got stuck halfway into the locks, making it difficult to unlock the doors. The company returned and spent about an hour adjusting the locks to improve the fit. I was not charged for that follow-up visit. While the keys worked better afterward, they still weren't operating as smoothly as they should. So, after another month of continuing to struggle with the keys, I decided to replace all of the doorknobs and deadbolts instead. That service cost an additional $1,299. The one positive throughout this experience was that the staff was always friendly and courteous. read more

First, they called and asked if I would like for them to come earlier - shock! No one is ever early - usually you are lucky if they show up at the scheduled time. Secondly, they were professional, friendly, prompt, and proactive to provide the cost of their services after they examined my lock problem. Bada boom, bada bing...10 minutes later they were done. Everything worked well, they tested it with me watching and they thanked me for my business and were out the door. So glad I used them! read more

Lost my keys yesterday. May have left them in the door! Whatever the case I called Danny's Keys last night to have someone come out this morning. I was told the tech would be here between 9 and 930. He arrived on time. He was polite, responsive, and clean. Can't ask for much more. Before he started, he quoted the total price for the work. Dispatcher wrote down that I needed more done than was necessary. Tech explained that the work I was having done was a lesser price. I appreciate that. Most importantly, service requested was complete and thorough. I would definitely use Danny keys again. As a ps. Danny's keys was recommended by Ace Hardware in Northbrook. Thanks to them also. read more

Thank you Danny keys for working with me to get my locks re-keyed to my new home. Iban was very patient with me and did quantity work. I will definitely refer you to all my friends and family. read more

Service was good and tech was great. Only downside was I was quoted a price over phone but then the tech added labor charges on top of rekey and trip charge, labor charge was never mentioned on phone when I booked. read more

The schedule was very easy and they were flexible. I had my lock in my front door malfunctioning. Yaniv came on time, assessed my lock, explained the situation and indicated that a replacement was necessary. He did it very fast and took the time to show me how to do the maintenance correctly. Yaniv was an exceptional technician, friendly and with patience. Great service Yaniv!!!! Diego read more

The technician, Isaac, was very nice but did just an okay job. The deadbolt still doesn't line up nicely, which was an issue we asked to be fixed. The bigger issue was a discrepancy between the quote and the actual price. Of course labor and parts cost money, but I was told on the phone that it would be only $68 per cylinder if we kept the old hardware. Somehow I ended up paying $373 for two cylinder replacements. Since we were busy with unpacking into our new home that day, I didn't even look at the receipt (there was actually no receipt because the credit card reader was on an iPhone) until after the technician had left so I didn't have a chance to ask about how it ended up costing so much, but next time I'll be sure to ask for an itemized print out. It was my fault for not reading the price before paying. read more

10/10; would highly recommend! I hired the Danny Keys team when I moved into a new house and needed locks changed. Initial contact: They were extremely responsive when I reached out and I loved being able to schedule online (and there was a solid amount of availability. At the appointment: When it came time for the appointment, the technician (who was on time and fully communicative) went above and beyond in the best way. Not only did the technician answer my 100 questions and concerns about smart locks, but he also advised me my options with different locks throughout the property to balance safety and cost. I thought they would only replace the locks but they also were able to replace the doornobs, offering several appealing options in the style I wanted. They had a variety of options for locks too - regular door locks, deadbolts, and smart lock varieties. They even cleaned off the door all around the doornob because it was dirty and looked a little gross! My biggest joy has to be that they were able to use the same locks on multiple doors so we could use one key for all the doors, which is a lifesaver because I was startingbri appear as a janitor with so many keys, lol. After it was all done, they made me a bunch of copies of the key, which was helpful and honestly unexpected because I thought I'd have to go to Lowes after to do that myself given the million and one copies we needed for various family members. Vibes: it was such a seamless experience with an incredibly friendly, helpful, technician who treated my house with respect (eg no outside shoes inside) and was patient with my questions/concerns. Cost: Pricing was all competitive with other companies I considered. Overall: An excellent experience; I'll only be using Danny Keys for my future lock change needs and recommending them to my friends and neighbors! read more

Danny's Keys 24/7 was the first place I called after our front screen door lock failed. They were local and well reviewed. They responded quickly to our inquiry and sent Yanev to assess the problem. He was able to order the needed replacement parts in the most economical manner and temporarily fixed our problem. As soon as the parts arrived they called and Yanev came out within a day to repair the lock. We were very happy with the service and would highly recommend Danny's Keys 24/7 to others. read more

Yaniv was on time. Very nice and considerate. Got the job done right away. Superior service

They were awesome! The locksmith got to my house in 20 minutes of me being locked out and calling after just looking for someone local online. I am so glad I found them! It was a female locksmith and she was great! That made me happy to see a woman! She got in the door in minutes and helped me so much. Definitely call them. They are reliable and quick! read more

Service was great overall. Only complaint is price. Definitely way overpriced. Paid over $300 for a 10 minute task.

Arrived very quickly. Fixed the key broken off in the lock just as quickly. Very friendly and professional experience.

My experience with Danny's Keys has always been positive. They answer the phone during open hours. They send someone out the same day, usually within a couple hours. The technician is knowledgeable and friendly and their prices are competitive. I do not hesitate to recommend Danny's Keys. They have rekeyed my locks when I purchased my new home. When a key wouldn't work in a lock they lubricated the lock and it worked fine. They didn't charge me! They have replaced my digital locks when I wanted an upgrade. I confidently recommend Danny's Keys. read more

They're thieves! Here at the house for less than 30 minutes, and charged $300 for a lock that decided not to open anymore! I should have insisted my wife get a couple of estimates. $10 per minute, too bad my health prevents me from doing this kind of work. read more

Danny Keys was a life saver specially when I got locked out our Condo and my wife was at work. I highly recommend their service.

We had an antique lock that wasn't fixable. The technician called the owner who explained the difference between waiting and installing an expensive antique replacement vs a lock they had on hand. Waited while we decided what to do-very professional. read more

I had Danny Keys come out to rekey a rental apartments keys so that all the exterior locks worked with one key. Technician also drilled out a mailbox lock where the previous tenant kept the key. Fantastic experience with Danny Keys! We just bought a new home and needed the locks replaced. I had to reschedule a couple times (my fault, not theirs), and they were quick to respond and accommodate my schedule. The technician was exactly on time, and was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained the different options we had for getting new locks on the home, and was able to get the job done right away. If and when we decide to upgrade our locks, I'll be calling them again! Edited to add: the technician's name was Yaniv! read more

The service was professional and altogether efficient. Unfortunately the charges were excessive and inconsistent. I did agree to them the second day as I needed the issue to be fixed. But I do not feel good with what I was charged. It should have been more thought through, as you except from the professional you rely upon, therefore cheaper. read more

I was locked out of our house and had no success reaching several so-called 24-hr locksmiths. I kept Googling and Danny Keys responded right away. Joe came in a jiffy and got the job done. Very friendly & professional. Thanks a million! read more

I was locked out and once the guy arrived he opened the door without breaking or damaging anything and he did so scarily fast! I was afraid I would have to change the lock afterwards but he assured me that my key would continue to work and indeed he was correct. I could not believe door locks are so easy to pick. Had a dispute over the amount charged and ended up talking to the owner Danny. He was impressive. Never seen a small business owner care so much about his customers and reputation. The issue was resolved satisfactorily. Definitely recommend them. read more

My wife and I were impressed by the professionalism of the technician -- ie, he arrived at our home within an hour of our call and was efficient and friendly. But even more impressive was the timely and thorough responsiveness of Danny (the owner) when addressing a follow-up question we posed via a weekend email. This is an A+ business that we will gladly entrust all of our future locksmith needs to. read more

I don't read reviews of companies that have fewer than 100 positive reviews, so Danny Keys passed the first test. Then, I look over the reviews to make sure they were legitimate. Checked that box too. Finally, I evaluate the distance of the business from where I need the work done. I won't bother calling a well-reviewed company that is hours away. Danny Keys was close enough to take the job. I will now add my review to the hundreds of other positive reviews. First, someone answered the phone - rare these days! Then, i got a quick appointment to change the lock. The next positive was the attitude of the office staff and the locksmith (do they still call them that?) . Polite and responsive. I got exactly the service I needed, done promptly and well. That deserves a 5-star review. read more

If could give 100 Yelp Stars I would give them all to Danny!! :) Danny is an amazing super hero everyone!! He completely saved our butts by providing us emergency service to our home that desperately needed both of our front and back door locks replaced. We had to call him as an emergency because our previous locksmith was a complete, total scammer that completely left both our front and back doors without our locks properly installed and not leaving us the keys! The scammer completely ghosted us!!! Thankfully I found Danny online and he responded to my call right away. He was really helpful, provided my husband information for both front and back door locks, and warned us about locksmith scammers (what to watch out for!). We had no idea this was a problem! Thank you so, so much Danny! We deeply appreciate and are grateful that you came out to help us at the last minute! :) read more

Danny Keys 247 - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Northbrook, Illinois

Wow, My wife and I just closed on our home, and our seller said that he "believed these were all of the keys" when he handed them over. Major red flag! My wife and I wanted the locks changed right away. I stopped by near the end of the day yesterday, and they were able to make a home visit before noon today. Danny and his team were able to come out quickly, and replaced them in a fashion that allowed us to keep the hardware that we liked. This isn't the first time I've trusted the safety of our family to Danny and his team, and they have come through for us every time. Above and beyond seems to be their baseline. Competitive prices, expert results, and a level of customer service that you simply cannot find anywhere else. I recommend Danny Keys 247 to anyone, and regret that I can't give them a higher ranking than 5/5. These guys are the best in the business, bar none! read more
