Initial contact: They were extremely responsive when I reached out and I loved being able to schedule online (and there was a solid amount of availability. At the appointment: When it came time for the appointment, the technician (who was on time and fully communicative) went above and beyond in the best way. Not only did the technician answer my 100 questions and concerns about smart locks, but he also advised me my options with different locks throughout the property to balance safety and cost. I thought they would only replace the locks but they also were able to replace the doornobs, offering several appealing options in the style I wanted. They had a variety of options for locks too - regular door locks, deadbolts, and smart lock varieties. They even cleaned off the door all around the doornob because it was dirty and looked a little gross! My biggest joy has to be that they were able to use the same locks on multiple doors so we could use one key for all the doors, which is a lifesaver because I was startingbri appear as a janitor with so many keys, lol. After it was all done, they made me a bunch of copies of the key, which was helpful and honestly unexpected because I thought I'd have to go to Lowes after to do that myself given the million and one copies we needed for various family members. Vibes: it was such a seamless experience with an incredibly friendly, helpful, technician who treated my house with respect (eg no outside shoes inside) and was patient with my questions/concerns. Cost: Pricing was all competitive with other companies I considered. Overall: An excellent experience; I'll only be using Danny Keys for my future lock change needs and recommending them to my friends and neighbors! read more

This company flat out deceived us. I was told $75 to 95 per lock to rekey 2 locks over the phone so made an appointment. They ended up charging nearly $700 and the invoice had no amounts listed for each task which is deceiving. I fell for those glowing albeit suspicious 5 star reviews that overshadow the negative ones. Make sure they tell you the prices up front. Had I known all the other charges they added after they got here, I would have never booked them. I love supporting local businesses, but not ones that knowingly take advantage of people by not being upfront with costs so we can make an informed decision. No mention of any other fees when I made the appointment. I called several other locksmiths after to check and sent pictures and was not quoted more than $200 to $250 all in for what they charged nearly $700 for. They took advantage. I now notice they arent BBB accredited and I understand why bc that requires a company to "operate honestly and with integrity" along with 8 other standards and when you bait and switch people that wouldn't be possible. read more

If you read my previous review, you'll see that I've had this company out twice since moving into my new home. This time was the third time. During the first visit, I was given the option of either re-keying my existing locks or replacing them entirely. I chose to have the locks re-keyed, thinking that would be sufficient. What I didn't realize was that re-keying can result in issues with how the key fits and operates in the lock. That service cost $900. Unfortunately, the new keys frequently got stuck halfway into the locks, making it difficult to unlock the doors. The company returned and spent about an hour adjusting the locks to improve the fit. I was not charged for that follow-up visit. While the keys worked better afterward, they still weren't operating as smoothly as they should. So, after another month of continuing to struggle with the keys, I decided to replace all of the doorknobs and deadbolts instead. That service cost an additional $1,299. The one positive throughout this experience was that the staff was always friendly and courteous. read more

First, they called and asked if I would like for them to come earlier - shock! No one is ever early - usually you are lucky if they show up at the scheduled time. Secondly, they were professional, friendly, prompt, and proactive to provide the cost of their services after they examined my lock problem. Bada boom, bada bing...10 minutes later they were done. Lost my keys yesterday. May have left them in the door! Whatever the case I called Danny's Keys last night to have someone come out this morning. I was told the tech would be here between 9 and 930. He arrived on time. He was polite, responsive, and clean. Can't ask for much more. Before he started, he quoted the total price for the work. Dispatcher wrote down that I needed more done than was necessary. Tech explained that the work I was having done was a lesser price. I appreciate that. The technician, Isaac, was very nice but did just an okay job. The deadbolt still doesn't line up nicely, which was an issue we asked to be fixed. The bigger issue was a discrepancy between the quote and the actual price. Of course labor and parts cost money, but I was told on the phone that it would be only $68 per cylinder if we kept the old hardware. Somehow I ended up paying $373 for two cylinder replacements. Since we were busy with unpacking into our new home that day, I didn't even look at the receipt (there was actually no receipt because the credit card reader was on an iPhone) until after the technician had left so I didn't have a chance to ask about how it ended up costing so much, but next time I'll be sure to ask for an itemized print out. It was my fault for not reading the price before paying. read more

Danny's Keys 24/7 was the first place I called after our front screen door lock failed. They were local and well reviewed. They responded quickly to our inquiry and sent Yanev to assess the problem. He was able to order the needed replacement parts in the most economical manner and temporarily fixed our problem. My experience with Danny's Keys has always been positive. They answer the phone during open hours. They send someone out the same day, usually within a couple hours. Fantastic experience with Danny Keys! We just bought a new home and needed the locks replaced. I had to reschedule a couple times (my fault, not theirs), and they were quick to respond and accommodate my schedule. Checked that box too. Finally, I evaluate the distance of the business from where I need the work done. I won't bother calling a well-reviewed company that is hours away. Danny Keys was close enough to take the job. I will now add my review to the hundreds of other positive reviews. First, someone answered the phone - rare these days! Then, i got a quick appointment to change the lock. The next positive was the attitude of the office staff and the locksmith (do they still call them that?) . Polite and responsive. Wow, My wife and I just closed on our home, and our seller said that he "believed these were all of the keys" when he handed them over. Major red flag! My wife and I wanted the locks changed right away. I stopped by near the end of the day yesterday, and they were able to make a home visit before noon today. Danny and his team were able to come out quickly, and replaced them in a fashion that allowed us to keep the hardware that we liked.
