They were running a little late but kept me informed. The locksmith was thorough, neat and relatively quick. The price was reasonable. I will definitely use them again. read more

They were super nice and professional. Our door has been jammed for quite a while now so it was a pleasure having them come by. We had called them yesterday and they were able to come the day after. It was super speedy only took about 20 minutes. Fair prices, they were able to price it out in less than five minutes. Great deal and perfect service was provided. Definitely recommend and would use again. read more

Absolutely amazing service. Quick response and a life saver! I was locked out of my home and they were able to help me in less than a half hour. I am so thankful. They were at my home 20 minutes after I called. Service like that these days is really appreciated! They saved the day! read more

Danny Keys 24/7 is the ONLY locksmith people should use. Danny answered our phone call and was so accommodating and pleasant to work with! But then when Juan came out, we again were blown away in an excellent way! He was very thorough in finding the root of our problem and resolving it! He joked with me and was so patient in explaining things. He left me with a huge smile on my face. Danny, give this man a raise!!! Juan is such an asset to you company. AMAZING SERVICE!!! They were so fast and so safe with opening our car. Guy was super nice and knowledgable. I will recommend them to everyone. read more

I've had outstanding experiences with this place. Two weeks ago they fixed a complicated three-point lock on our back door, and did preventive maintenance on a similar lock on a side door. A great handyman we use had said it would cost about $800 for a new locking mechanism. Total charge from Danny Keys: $150. Then, a couple of days ago, the inside door knob and "tailpiece" fell out of our front door, which meant we could open the door from the outside but not the inside. We had to pantomime through the window to communicate to people to come into the house--that got old in a hurry. ;-) I tried reattaching the parts myself but had no luck. Called Danny Keys this morning and 15 minutes after the tech arrived, one part was replaced, another re-drilled, and the knob and tailpiece were firmly back in place. Highly recommend this place for their prompt service and knowledgeable, friendly techs. read more

Jonathan did a GREAT job fixing up our new house. He re-keyed numerous doors, added two security pads and added a deadbolt. He was friendly and helpful, making some security related suggestions. We will definitely hire him again! read more

Danny and his cousin showed up a mere 15 minutes after our call and could not have been nicer. After moving into a new house they gave their advice on which locks they would recommend and even let us feel the weight of the locks to see for ourselves. I'm impressed with their professionalism and quality of service. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them! read more

I needed a couple of locks rekeyed. Based largely on Yelp reviews, I called Danny Keys. The locksmith arrived, as promised, in about 45 minutes, looked at the locks and provided a cost estimate. Locksmiths aren't cheap! But it was in line with what I had expected, so I approved it and he went to work. Upon completion, he gave me the new keys, and I verified that they fit and turned the lock. Late in the evening, when I decided to lock the doors for the night, I discovered that on one door, while I could lock it from the outside, I couldn't remove the key. And from the inside it wouldn't lock at all. So I called Danny Keys, explained that I really don't want to leave a door unlocked overnight, and a different locksmith came out, as promised, in about 45 minutes. He said one of the locks had been installed incorrectly, plus there was a difficulty with the other. He fixed both. I really should have done a more thorough check before letting the initial guy leave, but I am impressed that Danny sent somebody out late at night to promptly fix the problem. The locks have been in place now for over a week, so I consider this job completed and will call Danny Keys should need arise in the future. read more

Outstanding service' Very comfortable and friendly. Way easy. I told Charlie (the helpful driver) that he was a "soft cushion" (pun intended). Haha. I will use them again if need be. Thanks for making my day much easier. read more

Danny Keys 247 - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Northbrook, Illinois

Wanted an extra motorcycle key made and was referred to this place by ACE hardware as ACE didn't have the correct blank. Admittedly, I know nothing about keys....coded, chipped blah blah. Said their automotive guy would have to come in to do it. I figured something special needed to happens to cut a motorcycle key for it to work so the $65 seemed justified. I however couldn't wait until next week when the automotive guy would be in. So the guy just cut a key and alas it worked. Charged $65 for something that at ACE would have been $8. They were helpful and ultimately got me a key that worked but I wouldn't do business again with a place that operates this way. Probably great for emergencies but this wasn't one of them. read more

I wish all service providers were like Danny. He is SO responsive - called on a Saturday night with temperatures below zero. Danny picked up the call and we arranged to meet Sunday morning. He is highly professional, polite, efficient and effective. Got the job done with no drama, charged a fair price and was on his way. Seriously, he is as good as it gets. I would use him again and again (hope we don't have to) and I would unabashedly refer him to ANYONE who needs locks and keys service. YES! He is that great. read more

This company is TERRIBLE! They will try to take advantage of you. My girlfriend locked her keys in her car. We called for service, on the phone no pricing information was given to us, the lady said that the tech would give us the estimate of the scene. When he arrived, he looked at the car and immediately said it's gonna be $285 plus a $75 service fee! We refused the service because my girlfriend's insurance was not gonna reimburse that much money. They told us now that there was going to be a $125 cancellation fee! WHAT??? None of this information was disclosed to us on the phone, their shady tactic of avoiding telling you pricing on the phone to wait til the tech gets there, and then giving you an outlandish price of $360 and THEN to top it off, trying to get a $125 cancellation fee when you refuse is RIDICULOUS! This is bad business all around, this company should not even have 1 star on google let alone 5! They were taking advantage of people. When we refused to pay the cancellation fee the lady on the phone said that SHE WAS GOING TO FILE A POLICE REPORT AND SEND THE INVOICE TO COLLECTIONS! EXCUSE ME?? You all should be ashamed of yourselves! Terrible business citizens! Never use these people for anything! You can find way better and cheaper services! read more

Locked myself out of my car and called this place for a quote. Woman on the phone said she couldn't give me a price but once the technician arrived at the scene he would give me a price. Seemed logical since some cars may require more work. Guy drove out to tell us it was going to be 400$ to unlock the car. We denied service because my insurance would not reimburse me for an amount that high for a basic service. Woman on the phone called us back saying we needed to pay $125 cancellation fee that was never discussed over phone and neither was price. We felt extremely taken advantage of and she threatened to go to the police and file a claim against us if we didn't pay. The worst experience I've ever received from a service. We called another company who would come out for 100$ ! Shame on this company for their shady practices! Avoid this place at all cost and find someone who will disclose pricing upfront. Very rude and dishonest workers!!!! read more

Unbelievable. Personable and quick to schedule a service call. Quote provided in the spot--amazing back office support. Quote seemed fair. Danny explained how they match Amazon prices and provide installation and warranty. Had everything I needed in stock. Installed next day. I've asked some follow up questions and he is quick to respond. Danny was fun to have in the house with our family. Great experience! Our home is safe and secure! Thank you! read more

I have a keyed bike lock that needed opening and they took me in right away and fixed it within 1-2 hours.

I gave 5 stars for efficiency and response. I was locked out of my condo by a realtor that did a showing that day. I requested for the realtor to only lock top lock and not to lock bottom lock as I did not have a key. I didn't arrive home until 7:30pm on a Saturday night only to find out that I was now locked out. I expected the cost to be a lot but not $450. I didn't have much choice as I couldn't wait. Service 5 stars. Pricing a bit too much. read more

Called Danny on Saturday afternoon and he was out to my house a couple hours later (non-emergency). Both my front and side doors were sticking and were difficult to open/close/lock. He diagnosed, quoted and repaired the issue (incorrectly installed strike plates) immediately. He made a couple final adjustments to both doors and did not leave until both my wife and I were satisfied. He was courteous, clean and took proper COVID precautions. I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use him again for any locksmith needs. read more

Danny quickly responded to my Yelp message. He arrived on time and was very nice. When he took apart my lock, he noticed that it only had three pins.
