By halfway through the second day, I called them for an update. They said they were working on it. Three hours later, I called again, and they gave me the same answer. This time, they mentioned they were preparing a quote for the repair because the motherboard was damaged and it would cost $750. They explained that they would need to send it out to a specialty shop. However, they assured me they could back up my data, which I requested, and they did manage to do that. When I went to pick up the laptop, I noticed a plastic bag taped to it containing some hardware. I asked what it was, and they informed me it was the SSD (the new type of hard drive) from which they had retrieved my data. They did not reinstall it in the laptop, which I found puzzling, as I intended to take it to a locally owned computer repair shop for a second opinion. Having never opened a computer before, I thought, "What do I have to lose?" So I opened it up and found the connection point to reinstall the SSD. I had to go and buy a small screw to secure it, which they did not return with the SSD. To my surprise, when I turned on the laptop, it worked perfectly! I am not sure what they were doing for three days, other than backing up my data. Honestly, the store name should be changed to "We Break It, You Pay Us, and You Fix It."

We were pointed to this location through our phone insurance company, asurion, who provided us a list of locations that fix cracked phone screens for $29. Thankfully we only had a cracked phone screen situation. Of the three locations suggested, we chose the Vernon Hills location based on the great reviews. To make the appointment, we filed a claim and prepaid ahead of time. We were given a specific time to come in, and when we dropped off the phone we filled out a questionnaire to verify the diagnosis. We were told to come back in 1.5 hours. They called us at exactly 1.5 hours to come back and pick up our phone. When we picked up the phone, it was like nothing ever happened. The phone looks brand new, and it is brand new because my son just got the replacement after destroying his other phone two months ago! Take note, they used OEM parts and our phone was replaced with an original Apple screen. The phone repair is under full warranty. The business was clean and orderly, and the process was super duper easy. Nice waiting room with mints and a Keurig coffee machine. The employees were friendly and courteous and did everything they were supposed to do. To this day the phone is working like a champ!

I found 911 Tech Repair online and I was happy to know they were right down the street. The pricing was VERY reasonable and it was a one week turn around time. Which was also reasonable for me since we were leaving in about 12 days right when she broke her iPad screen. The iPad works great and looks as if it had never broken. Experience one. My second experience was when I took in my iPad mini. It was put away in my drawer for about a year and some odd months. I had lost all hope. I had cracked the screen in a small area but as time went by the cracked screen got bigger and bigger. I finally took it to the mall in 2014 to get fixed. They fixed the screen but the iPad mini never worked again. The functions were not doing as instructed. I had no idea the mall stand had done a bad job. I just thought the cracked screen had effected the entire gadget. I had already taken my daughters big iPad this December 2016 when I told him about the iPad mini and he told me to take it over. He educated me on what the place in the mall had done wrong and how he could fix it. He told me to come back in 3 hours and that is what I did. I called every repair place within a 10 mile radius to get quote for repair which ranged from $70-$130 from 3rd parties. Most of the techs I spoke to gave me a warning that when repairing the earphone speaker there was a risk the the face ID cable will be damaged beyond repair. When I Called 911 tech, they assured me that this was not the case. They got me fixed up in less than an hour for $80 and everything works beautifully. You can tell that Wedge has a passion for the work that he does. 10/10 would recommend

The fellow working here was fine, helpful and informative. What I don't like is the way the chain…read moreadvertises. Yes they do some car key fobs but there are many, many exceptions. The lifetime warranty that is complained about elsewhere is actually a good deal and I've found all locations honor it. It depends on your key fob. I have one in which the battery lasts forever so I didn't get the warranty on that one, but the other fob the battery drains every couple of months or so and this has been totally worth it.
