Food is fine but this is way over priced. You can easily make this at home. There's nothing special about how this is made.

For the record - I've been to Hawaii several times but never had Poke there - to my utter shock & horror! Anyway, my bro said it was the kinda looking gas station you avoid just like in the movies. Well was he ever stunned - walked in & towards the back - Poke for sale. He really hesitated but was so hungry. Good thing he caved in cause he described it as the best Poke he ever had till today! Hawaii is the originator of Poke. I'll be honest I've been a bit slow to the Poke trend. I've tried it a couple times before but what caught my eye & my appetite this time was the sandwich board outside Westcoast Poke, advertising its daily specials. My gosh the Dynamite Poke absolutely tantilzed me. Flavours were 100% on point & delivered pure joy & happiness in mouth! Most definitely top marks for WCP! Bravo for freshness, presentation & cleanliness! I've tried the Coast Poke & thoroughly enjoyed it as well - Dynamite (Prawns) Coast (salmon). Oh one last thing - it's pronounced 'pow-kay' not 'poke' as in - I poked the bear. So say it right when you order it ok!?! Keep in mind that when you walk into most Poke shops, there is a strong pungent smell of the raw fish that's served. Trust me don't go with the urge to run away, cause the taste of Poke is absolutely a hit in all the right ways. I'm going to try & make 2023 the year I go hard at healthy eating via lots of Poke! I'm going to give up on ice-cream, donuts, chocolate, alcohol, cigar smoking etcetera ... ok staaaaaap! No way Jose! Who do you think I am!?! LOL! As it's year end I'll wish everyone a Merry Christmas & plenty drinks on New Year's Eve - celebrate, celebrate, celebrate! Salut & best wishes for 2023!

Patient and friendly staff, that they take the time to explain the menu to you. Very generous portions (especially with the avocado). Lots of toppings to choose from. For example, crab salad and seaweed salad had a spicy and non-spicy option, which was my first time experiencing that on a poke menu personally. My order: Coast: my favourite of the 2 bowls I ordered - it's super saucy (burnt miso chili oil & garlic aioli sauce). The highlight was the fresh Atlantic salmon, and I really enjoyed the mangoes. The sweetness from the mangoes really ties the bowl together very nicely with an extra layer of flavour. Aloha: Ahi tuna in a lighter shoyu sauce, with seaweed salad & avocado. They also offer custom bowls, and currently have a rotation of "Poke of the Day", which is $10/bowl from their Signature selection (not sure how long this promo lasts though).

It was fresh and delicious. Not too saucy. Not too many customers inside the store. The girl making our order was nice and helpful. We will be back! I want to try their "shoyu a good time" bowl with the ahi tuna next time.

As we entered there was already a looped line-up, scoping out the place while we waited - a fresh, bright, semi-nautical and modern atmosphere with a clean, simple feel. After about 25 minutes we got to the ordering area where we greeted with smiles and a nice welcome from the very own Steve of Steve's Poké! Super friendly guy and all the staff had good energy and smiles to make the ordering and wait worth it. We've been to his Central Surrey location (super nice staff too) and the Willowbrook Mall is coming soon but so happy this South Surrey location is now a 5 minute drive from me! Plenty of beautiful and very fresh ingredients with labels to make ordering easy. But even before you top your bowl, the rice is great - they use is a short grain and it has more of a chew/glutinous mouth feel to it. They have green salad as a base option as well. I topped my Large Poké Bowl with a scoop of Shoyu Salmon and Spicy Scallop. Good decent chunks of protein and flavoured well. Next I topped it off with beautiful toppings like seaweed salad, edamame, corn, red onion, imitation crab, and kimchi. You can add premium toppings for an extra fee like avocado, masago, tobiko, mango, etc. After you've created your bowl and pay, there's a little station for you to add your dressings for an extra kick of flavour - spicy mayo, ponzu, and sesame. The eating space can accommodate smaller and larger groups. And if you're not into making your own bowl, they have preset poké bowls so you don't have to think and they have their famous Steve's Traditional (Hawaiian) Poké Bowl - served island style. Overall, a really awesome addition to South Surrey - Welcome Steve's Poké Bar!

They don't do "create your own bowl" here so you select your base, protein and then one of their menu options. I picked the Koko (Spicy Korean) one and it was very well mixed with gochujang sauce and I got a good amount of ahi tuna. There was some cilantro on top which I wasn't a fan of so I would just ask them to remove that next time. The bowls didn't seem that big at first but it was very filling! Also tried a bite of my friend's Peruvian (Spicy Citrus) and it had a nice citrus flavour to it. All their bowls seem to have kale in them which is healthy but also not my fave. Overall not bad but I would prefer other poke places where I can create my own bowl.

So let's see, this is for specifically this location, the location in Metrotown as well. The only…read morelocation that actually follows protocol is the Guildford Mall location. It's been COVID, it's still COVID. Maybe customers or people don't require but they employees are required to wear MASK/FACIAL COVERINGS and gloves if handling raw foods. Well guess what, EACH AND EVERY LOCATION HAS NOT FOLLOWED THAT. I sent video and photos but still the owner of the franchisee which is 98 Food Co in Calgary Alberta DOESN'T GIVE A FLYING F YOU SEE KAY! Firstly don't get me wrong. I've contacted as well husband has contacted the managers and then finally I wrote a comment on their main webpage and this man named WRAY CUNNINGHAM wrote me with such a closed response with no sympathy or anything. The worst part is when he was on speakerphone in front of my whole group, he said he would call back immediately after he sees what happens and POOOOF he disappears and thinks that's ok. It's sad cause the hula Poke was a thing for my disabled veteran husband and his other military friends to enjoy and go walk after their meal. But yo drive 45-1hr to be turned around and get no service really sucks. Mr.Cunningham, I'm most definitely sure you'll see this. Maybe take a step back and realize that if there's no customers, there's no business then you get no loyalties. If you run a business, especially a larger franchise, then you should be more compassionate and not lie to the complaints and customers saying that you'd follow up and well now it's 2.5 months. Don't waste your time or energy. You can go to Steve's Poke or else my fave ThePokeGuy who has actual fresh fish and portions are larger as well FRESH and EVERYONE HAS MASKS & GLOVES! If he treats disabled veterans and their spouses like this, I could only imagine how he treats the youth or anyone else. Shame on you Wray, change your name to CON-NINGHAM
