And they said oh yeah, they came in a week ago. I said shouldn't someone have mentioned that to me? They said oh yeah well our notification system was on the fritz so sorry not sorry. So I picked up my new glasses one week late. Got them home and realized the lens was loose in one of them. Due to my work schedule, I was not able to make it into their office again until the following Saturday. Which is today. I arrived at 1:41 PM. on their door. It says they close at 2 PM. There's no one here the door is locked. I do not recommend this place. I feel that they are unprofessional and I'm definitely going to get glasses somewhere else next time.

I figure if I have allergies (and in Cincy, who doesn't?), then I might as well get paid for them. On the initial visit they do a skin test to make sure you're allergic to any grass, ragweed, animals, etc in order to qualify for the study. The next several visits consist of reading a standard eye chart, getting eyedrops of different dosages of allergens, and eye doctors examining your eyes every few minutes to evaluate the degree of allergic reactions. Very simple, no daily diary or medicines to keep track of like in other research studies, easy money. The drawbacks are: having to drive out to Fairfield mostly on weekend days, having to wait until a couple weeks after the study ends to get paid, and the study staff isn't very personable. For $600 though, it's definitely worth it.

We can't even make it past the front lobby. The secretary at the front refuses to take my wife's insurance. (It is THE EXACT SAME as mine, even uses the same member ID number, it could not be more simple) I come back after she refuses to explain anything to my wife as to why she's refusing to see her, and she gives me the same treatment, just throwing her hands in the air and saying she can't "verify eligibility". She says "She'll keep trying and call us later to reschedule." I go outside and call tricare east, initially angry at them for what I thought was their mistake. They tell me she's fully covered and there are no issues with eligibility. I storm back inside and give her the phone WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY on the other line. She proceeds to argue with my insurance for 20 minutes while I stand and watch. My insurance pleading my wife's case and her just saying the same things over and over and over. "I've done all I can." "I'm just not seeing it." "I understand she's covered, but I can't verify her eligibility." In the end, after wasting a ridiculous amount of everyone's time for no reason at all. I request my latest prescription and any notes from Dr. Glass for a records transfer. Dr. Glass is great! Her front desk, however, has lost her our business in the future.
