Excellent lodge, would give six stars if I could. Location--excellent. 15 minutes from town and a very large, very nice Wal-Mart. Location on the river is great. Nice, sloping bank access that's relatively safe (it's still a river though...) for kids, with a nice gravel bank. The current right at the lodge isn't all that strong compared to other places. The facilities are in great shape. I thought the carpet was brand new, but they told me it's years old--they just care for it all very well. The fishing right at the lodge is great--some of our best fish came from the bank at the lodge. The people are wonderful--very nice, very quick with advice. The boat rental is very nice to have, if you stay long it's nice to be able to fish different places. Boats are well maintained, they said they replace motors every 3 years and I believe it. Electric start, which is really nice drifting the river. If you damage a motor (which is likely to happen for first timers on the river), they are extremely reasonable about fees. This is one area I thought they could use to pad their bill, and take it from personal experience from someone who has a boat at home and knows the expense of them--they are extremely reasonable about it. Multiple guides with different options for fly, spin, bait fishing. The only thing I can think of to improve is I wish they had a mechanism to return the boats after 5 PM. Pay extra or something to be able to return them at sundown or so. When the evening hatch is on upriver 5:00 comes pretty early. If you are a hard-core big brown fisherman, especially from the bank, you may want to stay a bit further upriver, but there are browns here, one of our biggest came from the bank at the lodge. If the river's low it's hard to get to the catch & release area up by the dam, and if that's your preference you probably have more experience with the area and probably aren't reading reviews..... So many options for families or first time visitors who want to have options--the pool, playscape, swimming in the river (it's cold, yes!), fishing from bank, fishing from boat, fishing with a guide (fly, spin, bait, just tell them what you want)s, plus not a bad drive into town--make this an excellent place to stay. Pics are fish from the lodge.

The property and the accommodations are so well kept. The view from the main house is stunning, and a great way to get up each morning and have tea or coffee. Perfect place for a family vacation! We had Rooms 432/432B (3 bedroom/3 bath) and it was perfect…read morefor our family of 9, stayed 6 days. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked as far and utensils, dishes, pots and pans, colander, can opener, toaster, coffee maker, cutting board and cookie sheets. We had kids ages 2, 5, 8, 10 and they loved everything about this resort. From the lake toys to all 3 pools, the games room and the playground. We only went into Branson once then spent the rest of the time at the resort. We kept commenting on how quiet it was and even though there were a lot of people you never felt crowded. Pizza World has fantastic pizza, coffee and ice cream. Everywhere we went it was so clean. I loved the communication by text about the weather and having to close pools and lake area for the safety of the visitors. Having a washer and dryer in the room was great, especially with little ones always spilling something on their clothes. The only negative things I can say was there was no sandy beach by the lake. Our grandkids would've loved that especially when walking into the lake. Bring water shoes because those rocks are sharp and are really hard to walk on. For the activities they are offer I wish it was listed on the paper where the activity was held at and the cost of each one. Also list on your website to bring paper products like paper towels, Kleenex and toilet paper (1 roll is in each bathroom), Food containers and plastic wrap. One last thing, would have been nice to have hooks in the bedrooms to hang clothes up on. All in all I would highly recommend this place for a fun family vacation and we will definitely be back.

In our confirmation email, it states check-in is at 4pm which we arrived around that time. However,…read moreafter waiting in line for 30 minutes, we were told our room was not ready. In the meantime, we were told we could take our 3 children to play on the playground. However, we traveled from Dallas and our 3 year old developed a fever 1/2 way into the drive, so playing on a playground was not in the cards for him. Our room was finally ready around 5. We reserved a 2 bedroom condo. The front room with windows facing the parking lot and walkway had 2 beds which the children would be sleeping in. I had a weird feeling and checked the windows. Thankful that I did because all the windows were unlocked. The jacuzzi was dirty. Several spiders and flies inside the condo. The refrigerator made a loud noise the entire time making it hard to hear the TV. The washer was also very loud. We had to have our keycards reactivated several times. When I was getting them reactivated one of the times, the staff handed me the cards back which I grabbed with my left hand that had an iWatch on the wrist. She said it's probably deactivated again now. They should have a better system. The condo was not stocked. There was 1 extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for a 6 day stay and 5 people. There were no paper towels. The grass was not cut outside of our patio so the kids couldn't play and there was a dirty beach towel lying in front of the patio. Unfortunately we will not be back nor would we recommend this resort, which to be frank, is not a resort
