However, I'd make most of my meals in the cabin and just do a dinner in the restaurant. One thing that's nice is they will cook your catch in the restaurant and prepare to your specifications.

Access to fishing was excellent, especially with waders, and they also rent boats or you could schedule a guided fishing trip. They indicated plans are in the works for a version of a restaurant and I would say that would be a welcome addition, even if only open limited days and hours. But if you don't mind sandwiches and burgers on the grill, there is a wal mart a relatively short drive away. The pool was small but enough for a refreshing dip and to sit and relax for a while. We will definitely be going back.

All in all we decided the wording on their website was just as little confusing regarding the food options and about boat rentals (as opposed to guided fish trips). But if we had not been wanting the pool option on this trip, this was a really nice place and we would definitely consider returning!

It's so charming and felts like a luxury adult lodge/resort/summer camp. The big open communal spaces are fantastic - the living room, which also includes rustic picnic benches for dining & the big open kitchen has huge, dual refrigerators and lots of prep space. They have every kitchen accessory that you could need. I love that they have coffee at every entrance and in different locations around the hotel. Great hosts who provide lots of local dining and activity information. Commercial hotel is a must if you're staying in or around the Cotter and White river or Buffalo River area! Or just make a stop over and make sure you take a tour of big Springs Park, a dip in the swimming hole or a walk across the bridge or breakfast at the Sands. We reserved a pull through because we are towing a vehicle on a trailer the clean out is at the very beginning of the pull in we had to use every extension to get tot he clean out hat we had. The site was really not level at all so then it would drain to the clean out because it was up hill and very far away. It was a process to clean out the hose and get all of the water out we had to lift the pipe 4' off the ground to get it to drain doing this caused the hose to come apart and got all over myself. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. They need to move this to the center of the pull throughs.
