Their top guide is a little arrogant, but knows how to find the trout and will drift fish rather than anchor, which was nice. Would I return? Probably. However, I'd make most of my meals in the cabin and just do a dinner in the restaurant. One thing that's nice is they will cook your catch in the restaurant and prepare to your specifications.

The location is just off the river, so you can walk down and fish yards from your room. The main drag of Cotter is only a 5 minute driver or so, and I went there for breakfast at White Sands (excellent food) before heading down to the river. Stayed here in December, so it was cold. Not a lot of people though, and the fishing was excellent as usual here. Caught a bunch of fish before heading home. Bottom line, this is a solid spot to sleep, shower, and wind down from a busy day of fishing. Nice room, comfortable bed, and great location.

The site was really not level at all so then it would drain to the clean out because it was up hill and very far away. It was a process to clean out the hose and get all of the water out we had to lift the pipe 4' off the ground to get it to drain doing this caused the hose to come apart and got all over myself. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. They need to move this to the center of the pull throughs.

Access to fishing was excellent, especially with waders, and they also rent boats or you could schedule a guided fishing trip. They indicated plans are in the works for a version of a restaurant and I would say that would be a welcome addition, even if only open limited days and hours. But if you don't mind sandwiches and burgers on the grill, there is a wal mart a relatively short drive away. The pool was small but enough for a refreshing dip and to sit and relax for a while. The lodge has some of the best trophies from around the world creating a world-class feel, and rooms are spacious, high ceilings. While we were out to eat, a rainstorm came & when we returned water had come inside cabin from the gap in top of door. My husband & I had to sleep separately, me in a single bed & him in an unstable double bed. There was a loft but that's where dirt dobbers hung out. Cabin was clean. Water pressure not good. There's more but I think I made my point. If you book this anyway, take repellent as the mosquitoes were really bad in mid June.
