Their top guide is a little arrogant, but knows how to find the trout and will drift fish rather than anchor, which was nice. Would I return? Probably. However, I'd make most of my meals in the cabin and just do a dinner in the restaurant. One thing that's nice is they will cook your catch in the restaurant and prepare to your specifications.

The location is just off the river, so you can walk down and fish yards from your room. The main drag of Cotter is only a 5 minute driver or so, and I went there for breakfast at White Sands (excellent food) before heading down to the river. Stayed here in December, so it was cold. Not a lot of people though, and the fishing was excellent as usual here. Caught a bunch of fish before heading home. Bottom line, this is a solid spot to sleep, shower, and wind down from a busy day of fishing. Nice room, comfortable bed, and great location.

The site was really not level at all so then it would drain to the clean out because it was up hill and very far away. It was a process to clean out the hose and get all of the water out we had to lift the pipe 4' off the ground to get it to drain doing this caused the hose to come apart and got all over myself. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. They need to move this to the center of the pull throughs.

The lodge has some of the best trophies from around the world creating a world-class feel, and rooms are spacious, high ceilings. The new owner, Adam Phillips, could not have been more friendly or accommodating. While we were there Adam was constantly at work making improvements to the existing structures while ensuring that his guests were well taken care of. The grounds, right on the White River, are absolutely beautiful, with an amazing view of the river, covered in trees, surrounded by wildlife, and enveloped in quiet. On top of everything else the price was very affordable - an amazing value! We will definitely return!
