When my fiancé and I first decided to do this we were not exactly sure how a bed-and-breakfast like…read morethis would work because we are used to staying in normal hotels. But it was exactly what we were hoping it to be and EVERYTHING more. The experience as a whole was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. It was refreshing to get away and be around Moose and Tina who are such kind and whole hearted people that make you feel right at home. Plus they are SO fun to chat with. They went above and beyond to make the trip special. We started calling them "Mom and Dad" by the second day because they were taking such incredible care of us. The food was OUTSTANDING, we ate until we COULDN'T MOVE for every meal. The lodge is such a relaxing environment with so many cool elements to the decor and scenery. There is also awesome wildlife watching. A family of deer that come right up to the house and bald eagles that fly across the skyline. The stars at night WILL take your breath away (bring a telescope.) The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are all very spacious. There's not a single picture that will do the view justice from the top of the lodge but I have posted a few. It honestly looked like a green screen it was so beautiful. (note: None of my photos have been edited for this post. That cotton candy colored skyline is REAL! ) The fishing was FANTASTIC, the guides were hilarious and we so much fun. We caught at least 100 fish between the two of us over two days. It was so exciting and thrilling. (Fishing Highlights: Alan caught a rare California Golden and I caught a big brown trout.) Then, on the last day we kayaked on the Buffalo River and it was so much fun. The Buffalo River is hands-down the most beautiful rivers to kayak. Moose also helped us arrange the reservation for the kayaks. We stayed at the lodge over the Fourth of July holiday and at night we got to watch about 10 different firework shows from the balcony, near and far - you can see them all. I will never forget it. Overall, we will NEVER forget our experience and hope to go back as soon as possible. The White River Inn is a hidden gem. Don't hesitate. Make your reservation. Families, couples, friends, colleagues- every type of group will have a blast. Thank you so much Moose and Tina for the experience, we hope to see you again soon.

The lodge has some of the best trophies from around the world creating a world-class feel, and rooms are spacious, high ceilings. Our room had a private porch and beds were awesome, bathroom with shower & tub was super nice. Huge deck overlooks the river and hummingbirds galore entertain morning coffee and evening cocktails. This place is fantastic and we will become regulars. Highly recommend it for a 1st class experience. Fishing guides were some of the best we've had and of course the fishing was amazing.

I finally made it to the Ozarks in AR! It had long been on my bucket list for years but now it's…read moregone from it. And today, I'm writing this review solely based on the drive down to Triple (aka Twin) Falls. If you are not into a long hike (2 miles+ one way), then this is definitely the one for you. To see the waterfall, you'll only need to take a very short hike from the trailhead (although driving down there is very winding and steep so there is even a road sign that says, "Cool your brakes" on the way.) Going back to the hike part, if you want to go up to the top of the waterfall however, you'll need to hike another 0.25 miles from the bottom but it's definitely doable even if you absolutely hate to hike/walk! The exact date of the hike was today (Wednesday, April 20, 2022). It had been raining on and off all day so the trail was muddy. But in my opinion, the rain made the whole experience so mystic, mysterious, and very green with abundance of water spouting out from the top of it. The water was, surprisingly, not so muddy. We took the time to explore the area for at least an 1.5 hours. Interestingly, not a single soul came and went during the whole duration of our visit; we had the whole area to ourselves. The area was so picturesque. It's definitely a great place for a meditation to empty your mind. You'll also have so many spots to take beautiful pictures from so many different angles. I HIGHLY recommend this place for waterfall chasers!!

Beautiful area with a lot of hiking trails. One or 2 are easy but the rest will be more difficult…read more We had my parents with us so we did the easy Homestead Trail and walked from the homestead to the viewing platform and back. Then we drove around a little and found parking areas at campsites close to the river so we could get other views. The ranger did tell us that we could get more places if we had 4WD. We stayed mostly in the middle and lower sections. I wish we'd gone at night for the night sky but wasn't aware of it at the time and needed to move on to our next destination. We will be back in the future to enjoy more of the river and the park.
