They are nicely updated and they've thought of everything, from the provided bed and bath linens to comfortable seating areas and the beautiful screened porches. Their private swim dock is nestled in a little cove, making it great for swimming and fishing without worrying about boat traffic. The view of the lake is unbeatable and the sunrises are unforgettable. 101 boat dock is a hop, skip and jump away making it super convenient to dock your own boat or rent one of theirs. This is our third time staying at the Wagon Wheel and it gets better every single time! We can't wait to come back and "Unreel at the Wagon Wheel" again!

The office staff was super understanding and gave us a full refund for the remainder of our stay. They had an awesome bar and, in the next building over, a nice recreational area with a pool table, fireplace and several other game options. We did misunderstand that the bar had some limited food options. All in all we decided the wording on their website was just as little confusing regarding the food options and about boat rentals (as opposed to guided fish trips). But if we had not been wanting the pool option on this trip, this was a really nice place and we would definitely consider returning!

The Bayou Resort is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean but are not overly modern they have all the ammenities that you need to stay for a few day. The kitchenettes have pots & pans, plates & flatware. The resort is almost a stones throw from Norfork lake so you can be in or on the water in about 5-10 minutes. The resort also has a pool if you don't feel like going down to the lake or if you just need to have a change of pace. We have been coming here for 5 years and have always had a good experience. So if you need a place close to the lake you could do alot worse than staying at the Bayou Resort.

Spaces separated with plenty of room. They do have a place for tent camping. Private Showers, dump station, store, ice flush toilets, picnic tables at sites & boat launch. Full hookups. 50 & 30 amp, All very level gravel sites. Fires at sites permitted as long as their is no burn ban so bring some wood. We stayed on site #9 which was perfect. Overlooking the White River, large fire pit and close to showers, bathrooms and store. Steps lead down to the river. There are kayak and canoe rentals around but I believe they go to the Buffalo River, which is close. The current is stronger in the White River and more for fishing and motorboats. We cooked out and got to see out kids and Granddaughter which makes this trip extra special. See you down the road!

New washers and dryers, credit card or app to pay. They have re-done some of their water valves so they don't freeze and if they do it's easier to repair. Gravel around the park as well, so they (Doug) has done quite a bit. Schedule well in advance, busy park.

There's also a small playground and swing set next to several covered tables and an area for sand volley ball and basketball. It also includes a walking trail and a place to hang hammocks and bathrooms next to the baseball field. If you live in the area, or are visiting from out of town, this is an area you'll certainly want to check out. Great for trout fishing!
