The farm is beautifully maintained with free-ranging chickens and a vegetable garden. The hosts live on property. The campsite features a specious level gravel pad with water and 50amp hookup, with a sewer dump available. We didn't have a 30 amp adapter but the host provided one for free. There is a small pond on the property stocked with perch for guests to fish. Dark sky at night made for great stargazing. Features a big fire ring with wood provided free. Close to Bull Shoals Lake, Branson MO and Eureka Springs AR. I'll definitely stay again!

The Bayou Resort is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean but are not overly modern they have all the ammenities that you need to stay for a few day. The kitchenettes have pots & pans, plates & flatware. The resort is almost a stones throw from Norfork lake so you can be in or on the water in about 5-10 minutes. The resort also has a pool if you don't feel like going down to the lake or if you just need to have a change of pace. We have been coming here for 5 years and have always had a good experience. So if you need a place close to the lake you could do alot worse than staying at the Bayou Resort.

They were very friendly at the front desk at check-in and while we were staying, the swimming spot was nice the views were great. Friendly restaurant. Mostly friendly staff. The showers for camping were musty though, would suffocate you in mildew smell while u shower and your only other option is the other ones closer to the campsites which I wouldn't even step into. Definitely no bare feet in either shower and make sure you don't touch the walls. The float was super fun and beautiful, the boat guys were nice until our last morning, we hadn't even checked out yet let alone there was no info on a checkout time and were not near home or know the area much. We figured we would let the kids swim one last time before heading out and get some fishing in, we were all packed up. My children and I floated down the rapids and caught ourselves at the sand bar of Dawt Mill that we were just staying at. One of the boat dudes asked if i was staying at Dawt mill I said yes but we were checking out today. He then said well then you need to get the hell off our sand. right to me and my children. I got upset and said some words to the guy and asked his name for being so rude. He then told me none of my fucking business. I got out on the other side of the water walked up to the front desk. The guy had already ran up there with his buddy and told front desk whatever he told them. The front desk had no manager on site at first then the lady proceeded to say she was the assistant manager but wouldn't give me her name or the boat guys name. She gave no eye contact and treated me like a pest, She then said checkout was at 11am so just shrugged her shoulders about how he acted, and then said "that's not what she heard" and then rudely said sorry we've been getting a lot of ppl not staying here going on our sand so he was probably just frustrated. Which is not my problem when he made me feel so unwelcome and uneasy, ruined my last morning and we weren't even hanging out on the sand we just got off the rapids there cuz it was easier with my children in stow. I didn't think I'd be so unwelcomed not even an hour after the checkout time. After not being able to assist me properly she called the boat guys manager who then said that it should've been okay for us to swim there since we were just there staying out of the way and the guy just probably didn't remember me and that he was sorry for what happened etc, I said thankyou for the sorry and consideration and I was glad there was actually someone with customer service around, but we just loaded up and left and not sure if we will ever be back. There is too many other places available on the North Fork River to be explored.

While the water was up and we did not have any luck fishing, we were fortunate to find this place. The cabin was perfect for the price and had almost all the basics you could need. Access to fishing was excellent, especially with waders, and they also rent boats or you could schedule a guided fishing trip. They indicated plans are in the works for a version of a restaurant and I would say that would be a welcome addition, even if only open limited days and hours. But if you don't mind sandwiches and burgers on the grill, there is a wal mart a relatively short drive away. The pool was small but enough for a refreshing dip and to sit and relax for a while. We will definitely be going back.

New washers and dryers, credit card or app to pay. They have re-done some of their water valves so they don't freeze and if they do it's easier to repair. We reserved a pull through because we are towing a vehicle on a trailer the clean out is at the very beginning of the pull in we had to use every extension to get tot he clean out hat we had. The site was really not level at all so then it would drain to the clean out because it was up hill and very far away. It was a process to clean out the hose and get all of the water out we had to lift the pipe 4' off the ground to get it to drain doing this caused the hose to come apart and got all over myself. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. They need to move this to the center of the pull throughs.

You can rent the whole place for your family or friend vacay. My room was spacious and filled with windows and light, and the beds are comfy! It's so charming and felts like a luxury adult lodge/resort/summer camp. The big open communal spaces are fantastic - the living room, which also includes rustic picnic benches for dining & the big open kitchen has huge, dual refrigerators and lots of prep space. They have every kitchen accessory that you could need. I love that they have coffee at every entrance and in different locations around the hotel. Great hosts who provide lots of local dining and activity information. Commercial hotel is a must if you're staying in or around the Cotter and White river or Buffalo River area! Or just make a stop over and make sure you take a tour of big Springs Park, a dip in the swimming hole or a walk across the bridge or breakfast at the Sands.
