They had great breakfast and lunch specials, and dinner was affordable and tasty too. Home made pies were a specialty of the house. Prices were very reasonable. A change in ownership, in my opinion, resulted in a decline in food quality and service. Although there was still some pretty decent food being served, the prices started to climb and menu offerings became more limited. The last few times I ate there the food was just so-so. You could do worse for lunch, but it's not worth going out of your way for. I've noticed the crowds aren't there anymore either.

But I do know all the locals eat at the White Sands Restaurant. I live one block from the motel and recommend both the NEW (remodeled) motel AND the restaurant.

Unaware that it had new owners, we reserved 2 cabins for 3 nights at 80 a night per cabin plus pet deposit. Checked in on Thursday took the kids swimming (nice pool) used the only towls we had (room towls) . On the way back from the pool we asked for fresh towls to shower. We were very rudely told we were not supposed to use those towls at the pool . I explained we had no others and did not know we were not allowed to use them . She then very grudgingly got up and got us 3 towels ( for 2 rooms 8 people) and scolded me again for using them. I felt so bad I told her if she like I would take them and wash them. (No washer on site) SATURDAY asked AGAIN for clean towls and was told NO WE USED OURS AT THE POOL. 8 people now not showered for 3 days because we can't dry off with clean towls. Also they watched everything you did. We were extremely uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay again. And will tell everyone why. Also FYI. Others at the pool were also talking about how bad customer service was.. 6-9 thru 6-12 2022

You get what you pay for …read more.. First, we felt like trespassers on an old couples back porch trying to check in being attacked by dogs. (They were friendly) Second, cabins were filthy. Soap had separated, dusty blinds (that broke), cobwebs everywhere, shower head didn't work, we had to wash all dishes before use and the pontoon boat was dirty and I didn't want to take my shoes off. We weren't confident that the pontoon would start up if we turned it off. Third, the view was amazing; can't deny that! Lake was fantastic! Bring all your food because the closest spot is 35+ min from civilization. I can respect their "honor system" on ice use and such.

Checking-in was a breeze and We had reserved a boat and were on our way to the boat and on the lake within an hour of arrival. ALL RESORTS around Bull Shoals were built in the 1950's-1960's, Our Cabin "Bat Den" was nice and clean, fresh linens and high thread count sheets. The cabins given their age, are clean. The owners are new and slowly revamping the cabins. As the previous review says, prepare prior to arrival to bring food, drinks, and etc. It is a 40 minute round trip into town. However, the Lakeview marina has pizza to go and only a ten minute boat ride to marina. The boats Battys rent are older, but We enjoyed them. We had a boating malfunction and the resort was quick to respond and swap to another boat. Cheryl, We enjoyed our stay........
