In an area known for kitschy cabins, this vacation rental is upscale. We loved the added surprise of a turntable with many records to choose for our playing and listening pleasure. If you haven't had the joy of a record playing vinyl, do it. It is a wonderful and relaxing touch. As the name implies, be prepared for the stairs going up to the loft on the side of the building. They are very sturdy, but if you have a lot of luggage it may take a trip or two. There is only one parking spot specifically reserved for guests of the loft. Carpool if there more than two staying here. Once you get settled, walk the block to see the craft school, get dinner or listen to music on the courthouse square.

The only reason she did this was because she is admitting her dishonesty in her listings and is trying to save face! I'm still not satisfied because my family remains unhappy as the amenities she described in her original description DO NOT EXIST! We would leave immediately if there was anything available to rent here! As it's BUSY SEASON that's not an option!

If it was a time share presentation we might have gone; we've met some interesting presenters. We've also met some we didn't like, but you get that anywhere. If you read the requirements carefully, save everything, record dates and phone conversations, you shouldn't get stung... unless you are dealing with actual crooks (that is what sites like Yelp are for). We were scheduled for a presentation at a Williamsburg site when hurricane Sandy struck the east coast. That was ETTSI, and they handled the necessary one day cancellation, rescheduled without complaining about the short notice and refunded our initial deposit (that took a letter to speed things along). Vacation Services of America sounds like a little too much trouble, even for me. So I am steering clear of them; I just tossed the invitation in the trash. Be careful what you write in reviews on sites like Yelp. If Vacation Services of America has serious complaints they may also have lawyers. The one star is for the deceptive letter; we're told we qualify but I expect many questions before we actually qualify; an award which I suspect has many requirements is no award. It is highly doubtful that "previous attempts to reach you" is genuine. We do have a caller ID which records any calls; email is easily verifiable and we haven't had a piece of mail lost in, oh lets see... never.

Our stay here at the Little House on the 12th Hole, though only for one night, was extraordinary. The home carried a warmth and character that no hotel could ever truly replicate. Everything felt thoughtful, comfortable, and inviting, with a level of peace that immediately made the choice feel like the right one. It was well worth the money, and in truth, far beyond what ordinary accommodations usually offer. There is something to be said for a place that not only meets expectations, but quietly exceeds them without effort. Choosing this property was absolutely the right decision, and just as importantly, offering it to guests was clearly the right decision by those who made it available. It is a place that leaves a lasting impression, even in a short stay, and one I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for something genuinely special.

The restaurant is nice with great views and the food was decent, but not great. The breakfast was underwhelming and served buffet style...very bland and barely warm. I'd skip the breakfast and make your own. The fishing was good and with the guides - we did two days. Their top guide is a little arrogant, but knows how to find the trout and will drift fish rather than anchor, which was nice. Would I return? Probably. However, I'd make most of my meals in the cabin and just do a dinner in the restaurant. One thing that's nice is they will cook your catch in the restaurant and prepare to your specifications.
