The staff here is truly committed to creating a safe, fun environment for all the children and they act immediately if anything goes against Montessori principles--which I deeply appreciate. All the lead teachers have been in Montessori education for over a decade, and their passion really shows. My daughter absolutely adores everyone here. Miss Amanda is an absolute gem--genuinely perfect for this role. She has such a deep love for the kids and brings so much joy to the classroom. Every day, they do fun, hands-on activities and learn practical life skills like cleaning, cooking, cutting, and setting up their lunches. Our shy little daughter just blossomed at this school, to the extent that our friends and extended family remarked on the change in her confidence and demeanor. I'm admittedly a pretty anxious mama bear and I am still, a year later, so shocked at how seamless the adjustment to going to preschool felt for both my daughter and for myself. There were no tears from my little one when I dropped her off, but on more than one occasion she was adamant that she didn't want to leave the school when I picked her up. I could write paragraph upon paragraph, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet because I know firsthand how much energy it takes to search for that perfect fit. Here are some of the aspects that stood out to me! - The whole entire staff here is so wonderful. The director, Mrs. Wilkins, truly pours her heart into her school. She knows and loves each child and greets them by name. She also personally ran my daughter's lunch box/jacket/show and tell item down to her classroom on the more than one occasion that I completely forgot those items in a sleep deprived haze. Our daughter's teachers, Mrs. Gamoneda and Mrs. Pallota, were so kind and loving. Our kiddo can be stubborn, and she started the school year insisting that she didn't want finger paint on her hands. Mrs. G and Mrs. P worked with her, encouraging but never pushing (they even asked my husband and myself if there was any sort of alternative glue or paint she might find more tolerable), and our daughter was beaming with pride when she presented us with a finger painted keepsake a few weeks later. I said I'd keep this short, so bullet points for the rest. - All of the teachers are very qualified. - The school is clean and the teachers had the children wash their hands several times every day even in a pre-coronavirus world. - There are all sorts of fun theme days, class parties and a Christmas program. - This was my daughter's takeaway from our initial tour - two playgrounds! Here is my takeaway - two safe, age appropriate playgrounds that are fenced in. - In addition to the classroom, the children attend Chapel, Spanish and music class (we had the opportunity to observe a bit of the music class on our tour, and the kids were having so much fun). - A perfect combination of play based learning and learning skills that will be needed in kindergarten (our 4 y/o is now able to write her name but she had a lot of fun at school too) - The teachers incorporate super cool activities (a volcano, a caterpillar that turns into a butterfly, a classroom full of tents, reading Biblical stories via blacklight) into their daily lesson plans. - The school is safety minded. This was huge for me. - If you have a baby on your hip, everyone will help you. :) There is a wonderful drop off program, actually, in which teachers are in charge of getting kids from your car. It's very safe and coordinated well. - The school has a bridge program and a kindergarten program. This is actually how I learned about First Foundations. It's seriously the best school, and the only thing I would ever change about it is that I wish our kids could attend for a couple more years.

Not only did I find something he was more happy with, but also I found extremely adept caretakers at Trillium Montessori. The teachers are the real gold here. They are steady and consistent and have been there many years. They know their age up and down and truly care about children. The infant teacher we met first put me right at ease. She is hands-down one of the best humans I have met. Every teacher after is reliable, consistent, and educated in Montessori and development. The teachers made my experience going back to work much less stressful. I have full confidence in them. I have a second child now and happily sent her through the same set of teachers. In fact, I frequently asked the infant teacher for advice and input. There is are double locked doors to enter the center and there is a check-in and out kiosk where teachers can message and upload pictures after you check-in your child. I have never worried about my child's safety here. There are shoe drop caddies outside every room. No one wears shoes in the rooms.

The first month went well, but as he adjusted to the social environment, he began having age appropriate behavioral challenges, including occasionally kicking when frustrated. We worked extensively on these behaviors at home and expected to partner with the school. One day, after noticing our son was out of view on the classroom cameras for about 30 minutes, we called to check on him. We were told he had been taken on a walk around the school to help him regulate his emotions, which we appreciated. After that call, however, we began receiving frequent reports of behavioral concerns that had not previously been communicated. The director invited us to a meeting to create a plan for our son's success. We were hopeful, but we left disappointed because there was no clear action plan. During the meeting, staff expressed concerns that our son might be developmentally delayed and recommended that we see his pediatrician. We followed that recommendation, and his pediatrician found him to be average to above average developmentally, believing his challenges were consistent with adjusting to his first structured childcare environment. The deciding factor for us came when we observed classroom camera footage showing a teacher and assistant pulling our son by one arm and, shortly afterward, his lead teacher reacting to him in a way we felt was inappropriate. At that point, we made the decision to withdraw him from the school. Every family's experience is different, but we hope sharing ours helps other parents make the decision that feels right for their child, especially during the often difficult transition into daycare.

As a first time mom she taught me many things. And capping of the experience with Ms Rachel (room 18) was perfect. She will prepare your child for kindergarten, no doubt. She gives the kids so much structure and really prepares them with reading skills. There have been some issues with teacher and staff turnover during our time but this is the unfortunate nature of the industry especially with how challenging the last few years have been (pandemic). The assistant teachers seemed to change frequently and it was hard to keep track of who would be in his room. In the past there have occasionally been communication issues but I feel that the current director has worked a lot of that out. Any issues we had, the teachers and staff have always been eager to solve. My son has enjoyed the amenities at the school like the splash pad, nice outdoor play area, Spanish and music classes and the other vendors that come in offering classes like Gymstation for sports and gymnastics and Waterloo for swimming lessons.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. Overall, I've been very happy with Atex and would definitely recommend them.

However, I'd strongly recommend getting multiple quotes if time permits, as their emergency pricing appears significantly above market rate. The convenience of immediate service came at a steep premium that I wasn't prepared for. Would I use them again? Only in a true emergency where no other options exist, and I'd request detailed pricing breakdowns upfront. My son has attend SSS on Woodland Village for almost a year now and I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for daycare. The building may be a bit dated but don't let that impact your decision because what's between the walls is what really matters. The attention and care they provide to the kids is second to none. The extra effort my son's teachers, Janice and Megan, have taken to help my son with his speech delay has made a huge difference in the last month and the improvement is noticeable. In the afternoon - Miss Stephanie shows incredible patience with the kids and I always pick him up in a great mood and a smile. I also want to point out another teacher, Carla, who was my son's primary caregiver as an infant. Carla worked tirelessly to get our son to transition from care at home to daycare at SSS. In a couple of short weeks our son went from crying when I dropped him off to excitement and happiness. And lastly, I want to point out Principle Katie has developed a well-organized and engaging program for all the kids and that was the biggest selling point for us. We felt confident our son would be immersed in an environment that fostered learning and self-development. Exceptional Daycare - Highly Recommend I cannot say enough positive things about Stepping Stone Daycare and their outstanding staff, from the classroom teachers all the way up to the corporate leadership team. I don't typically leave reviews unless the customer service and overall experience truly stand out--and Stepping Stone has exceeded our expectations in every way. My two daughters have attended this daycare since they were three months old, and the positive impact it has had on their lives is evident. My oldest daughter is turning 4 soon and my youngest just turned 2. From the meaningful friendships they've formed, to the genuinely caring and attentive staff, and the strong educational foundation provided by the teachers, Stepping Stone has played an important role in their development. Our son is eight months old and has been at this Stepping Stone location for about five months. We absolutely cannot say enough great things about the quality of care, the attention to every developmental need at each step, and the wonderful staff! We have felt very safe with the precautions being taken in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, and appreciate the constantly open line of communication. Daniel's teachers do an amazing job at keeping us updated with adorable pictures throughout the day showing Daniel engaging in learning and social activities, and with a very detailed report at the end of each day to tell us all about his food, sleep, activities, and diapers. We feel confident that he is getting the attention and engagement that he needs, and are always amazed at the amount of fun and educational activities he engages in on a daily basis. We know he is going to be ahead of the curve when it's time for kindergarten! We are also very impressed by the daily food offerings at the school, which always include a variety of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. This school is truly a rare find! Mrs. Alisa, the toddler teacher, is a gem! She is there each morning to open the school and always has music playing and a smile on her face. My daughter literally runs to her when we arrive! The staff always check her temperature and sanitize the bottom of her shoes. They also help her sanitize her hands before entering too! I will say that this location has been through a few director's in the past couple years, but the current director, Crystal, is a perfect fit! She makes us feel heard when we have a concern, and is always sure to follow up with us about any questions we have. Most importantly, she is sure to convey a bright point from each and every day. This gives us a way to reconnect with our daughter after begin away from her all day. My daughter loves the ABC Mouse program that is generously awarded with enrollment and even shows us her favorite games and songs that she does at school! My son has attended the Stepping Stone School since he was 12-month old. My Husband and I toured a few other schools in the area, but when we met Ms. Corrine and Ms. Eileen we knew we had found the right school! We've never had an issue with any of our son's teachers (they are all very qualified and have extensive experience with young children) and feel the children receive exemplary care and guidance during their time at Stepping Stones. The teachers, along with Ms. Corrine and Ms. Eileen are always available to talk about anything, they really get to know all of the children very well as well as the parents. Everybody here is so awesome and kind! We are now putting my son in the Toddlers room. They keep it very clean (everything is washed daily and foot covers are required for anyone entering the room). The school menu is fresh, delicious and varied including organic milk and vegetarian options. In my opinion you won't find a better place in Austin. read more

I'm incredibly happy to share this review and encourage other parents to consider enrolling in this school. My baby was initially enrolled at Kindercare, Anderson Mill, but due to the poor care they provided, I needed to find another daycare for my son. After a quick search, I discovered this school nearby and scheduled a meeting. During our first meeting, Ms. Delonna assured us of the excellent care she would provide, and she delivered on her promise. My son, now 12 months old, is always happy, and this mom couldn't be happier as well. Ms. Delonna is an exceptional director--caring, approachable, and attentive to both parents and children. She understands families' needs, maintains open communication, and creates a welcoming environment. We came here because of her, and my child's happiness speaks volumes about her leadership. This school is AMAZING! I withdrew my daughter because it was not "convenient" for work and my older, school aged children. The other facility did not work out for several reasons. I called Kim, the director, and she is doing everything she can to get my daughter re-enrolled in SSS. The teachers are all wonderful. I have never had any issues. They are always training and learning new ways to teach our smart young minds of our future. My daughter is now 16 months old, and she has learned sign language (as she does not say actual words yet) to communicate her wants and needs. I would recommend this SSS4 to any and every family seeking the BEST child care. Kim and her staff are GREAT! I can't say enough wonderful things about this school! Both of my children have been attending since they were just 4 months old, and it has truly been an amazing experience. My oldest, who is now 2 years old, is thriving here. She's learned so much and is genuinely excited to go to school every morning--this speaks volumes about the environment they've created. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and always come up with creative, engaging learning activities for the children. I can't say enough about the leadership, either--Principal DeLonna is exceptional. She communicates well with parents and you can tell she truly loves the kids and what she does. My daughter has been in stepping stones on woodland village for almost a year. I ran into a few problems at the beginning of this year. My daughter very headstrong was not transitioning well into her new class. We had some major changes in our lives at the beginning of the year which didn't help either. It was only until Miss Marissa came into our lives that things finally settled down. I do see a huge difference in the school and in my daughter and above all in the teachers. Since she became the director there, everyone seems happier to be there. I will be honest, we were close to removing our daughter from the school and we definitely were not even considering our youngest son there. With how things are going, we see a much different light. read more

I can not emphasize how great this school is. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The principal Ms.Sara is great. She recently started and in the short period she's been here, she completely turned around the school and really made it feel like a second home! There are weekly family activities provided in the front entrance, Ms.Corrine always offer me food on my way out the door and is always up for a chat about how my daughter is doing(she is so amazing and involved and she's not even a teacher!), my child is EXCITED to go to her teacher Ms.Alisa when at our previous school, she had separation anxiety. I recommend this school to everyone I meet, and wouldn't put my daughter anywhere else. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! I have 2 children that attend this school, an infant and toddler. They both love going to school everyday which makes my morning routine so easy. I can tell how much they are loved by their pictures I get during the day. Ms. Anjanett is my infant's teacher and she is amazing. Always working with him to help him sit up and completing cute artwork that is on there lesson plan. Ms. Alisa is our toddler's teacher and she is wonderful. She even potty trained my son in under a week! The activities that are completed everyday make me feel like we chose the best daycare for our children! We have been sending our son to this location for three years and we have loved it. He has advanced from the infant room to the "big kids" room and has had wonderful directors, caregivers, and teachers the entire time. This location also has a small kiddie pool and they provide on-site swimming lessons for little ones and he really enjoyed that during the summer. We have been extremely pleased with our time at this Stepping Stone School and would really like to thank everyone that has taken care of our son, especially Miss Alisa and Miss Jaymie! My 8 month old daughter has been going here for a few months now and I love it. The infant teacher, Ms. Greer, is very attentive to the kids and my daughter has adjusted really well. This is her first daycare and she smiles every time she sees her teacher. The principal there is very active and genuinely cares. My step-son has also been going here for a few months and his teacher, Ms. Darla, is awesome with him. He loves coming here. The school has a very good energy to it and the staff here really care. Our kids had a nanny for the first four years of their life and making the transition to a school setting was a little scary for our family. We were lucky enough to find Stepping Stone School at Anderson Mill. The teachers and principal there are top notch and do a wonderful job. Our youngest child occasionaly cries when it's time to go. My wife and I love the daily updates and pictures that they send to us. Amazing... This location means the world to us. We started taking our daughter here when she was 12 weeks old. Dropping your child off at daycare the first time is terrifying, but the staff made it as easy as possible. The staff in the infant room is awesome, so sweet with the babies and with the parents too. You can really tell they care for the children in their care. They go above and beyond, tracking diapers, ounces drank, and any other crazy request these first time parents have had! I have two children that attend stepping Stone off woodland village and since day one my toddler loved it so it only made since to have our newborn attend as well. My son loves Ms crystal, and we do to as well. Ms. Mauricia the director is always on top of any and everything needed within the school with the students and the parents. Both boys are so advanced with learning with their age groups. I do recommend this school and location to any parent. I've never felt safer knowing my children are in trusted hands. read more

Our daughter has been at Stepping Stone at Anderson Mill since she was 6 weeks old. A year later we can confidently say we LOVE this school! Ms. Crystal is an amazing principal! She has great communication, she's trustworthy and reliable. Through all of our transitions from infant to toddler Crystal and her team have been great! Ms Anjanett is such a great teacher. I can't say enough about this daycare. This was my daughters very first daycare experience. I called so many daycares before I made my decision. I came in for a tour and after meeting Megan (daycare director) and the teachers, I knew this would be a great place for my daughter. She started daycare at 20 months old and she adjusted in only a week or so. She loves her teachers, baby friends and she is excited about going to school every morning. I toured this school today and immediately felt like I belonged with how welcoming the principal was! She got down on my daughters level and interacted with her where other schools I've toured they would ignore her and pay attention to me. She obviously cares about the children more than anything else. The classrooms were very clean and organized and everyone was happily learning and engaged with their teachers. My son has been attending Stepping stone Anderson mill since he was 6 weeks old, he is now two. We have had nothing but great experiences since he started. Any time I have a concern Mrs. Crystal (the director) is quick to help in any way that she can. His teacher Mrs. Alisa is amazing, my son gets so excited every morning to go see her and you can tell she genuinely cares for the children at this center. Needless to say, finding a daycare for my two kids (3yo & 5mo) was extremely difficult with feelings of guilt, distrust and insecurity to name a few. Since my kids have been at Stepping Stone, I have grown to not only trust Stepping Stone's faculty and staff... I absolutely adore them! My 3 year old had a really hard time transitioning, but the staff's patience, understanding and empathy toward him truly showed me how much they cared about making him feel comfortable, welcome and included. I love how often they send me pictures throughout the day and how happy my littles are when coming home. I don't at all feel like I'm doing my kids some type of injustice by going to daycare, instead, I feel like the diversity in this environment is enriching their childhood more than I could be at home while trying to work. Some things to note: - Doors remain locked at all times with a security code for entry - Kids are required to pass temperature checks & is logged every day before going to class - Facility and playground is clean with up-to-date / not raggedy toys & equipment - I typically receive 2 -3 pictures per day per child - Food is provided - Discounts are offered for multiple children I will HIGHLY recommend Stepping Stone - WBP to ANY parent looking for PT/FT childcare.
