Our son has been at Stepping Stone on Woodland Village for over a year now. We really love the fact that it's a smaller campus! There were a lot of changes in leadership and staff last year but our son's teacher, Ms. Kylie, and the principal, Ms. Delonna wouldn't be here now if it weren't for those changes. They have done so much for the school, they are constantly working hard to make sure everything and everyone is taken care of. They both are extremely communicative to us, patient and kind to our son, and are always working with us on anything our family needs. Our little one has been through three daycares until we were lucky enough to stumble across steppingstone off of woodland village. The staff and director are so welcoming and friendly . The communication is amazing and they send you updates and pictures throughout the day through an app which is really awesome. Everyone is approachable and they make you feel safe leaving your kiddo(s) in their hands. They really do help make your child feel happy and comfortable while at school. I highly recommend enrolling your child here if you're questioning which daycares best for you. We moved to Texas in 2021 and I had to rely on online reviews and phone calls with the principals to determine where to send my 2 and 4 year old children. I picked this school because of its proximity to our house, the fact that they serve lunch and snacks, and because of positive online reviews. I was so disappointed. It's dirty (especially the bathroom), the kids don't wash their hands regularly (I would pick my kids up and they'd be eating graham crackers with dirt all over their hands), and the staff turnover is even higher than everywhere else right now. I feel like they hired any young woman off the street and then put her in a terrible situation with very little support. I could see that the the staff were overwhelmed and didn't blame them for quitting abruptly. In addition, Stepping Stone relied on self-reporting with temperature checks and they let sick kids stay at school. I was so grossed out seeing how many kids had yellow, dripping snot coming out of their noses every single day. My kids were constantly sick there. I transferred them to Bluebonnet in Cedar Park and, while it's more expensive, it's worth every penny. One good point is that their billing department was fair and gave us a break when they had to shut down for two weeks due to Covid right after my kids started. read more

My son has been, to a few different SSS. I've been very happy with Stepping Stone School.. I've followed Mrs. Rogers around because she pays attention to the little things that mean a lot to us parents. She loves all children unconditionally, no matter what the child's circumstances are. She runs a good ship, she communicates well with her staff. When leaving my son in Mrs. Rogers staff's care I know he's well taking care of, added bonus he walks around singing songs and his ABC's. This school is incredibly supportive. My daughter is about 11 months old. She's been here full time since she was 3 months. Not only do they love my daughter, but they are incredibly kind to our family. We where just part of a devastating apartment fire that displaced 43 residents, including us. The director, and teachers donated baby items to help us after losing almost everything. It warmed my heart. When I drop my daughter off, I feel like I'm dropping her off with family. We love this place, as you can tell from my double 5 star review. :) It will be a sad day when we have to move her, due to moving to another area in town. read more

My 5 yr old and 2 yr old started here in January. We moved from out of state and the teachers here did a great job making the kids as comfortable as possible during the transition. Overall the communication has been great and the kids are happy with their teachers. We just had preschool graduation and they put together such an adorable program for the kids and adults. Stepping stone has been our family go to for 3 years. All child care facilities have their high and low points and this one is no different but the small environment makes this location feel like home. Ms. Corrine has been a relatively new addition but she has quickly become one of my favorite teachers. My daughter has been at Stepping Stone Anderson Mill since she was 10m old (she is currently 19m). My favorite things about the school, in no particular order: my kid is excited to go to school and talks about her friends at home, they are a local organization, they have a location in my neighborhood (and many locations throughout town!), their tuition is affordable as far as day care goes, they provide food for the kids but will work with you on dietary restrictions, they accept cloth diapers, they have an actual curriculum for all ages (even babies!) which include STEAM principles, they have a woman come in weekly to sing with her guitar, they offer Splash Days in the summer months, they take the kids outside most days but are cognizant of weather (heat) concerns, their teachers have to go through continuous training, they work with you on potty training, they send daily reports (food, activities, diaper changes) that often include pictures, and they know your name and get to know you! The downsides are pretty typical of all day care centers, but I will address those as well. Some of the teachers seem burnt out - I don't know if it's personal issues or if it's a misfit between them and the school. There is also a high-turnover rate of teachers, with a few long-term exceptions. It's a demanding job I would never succeed in, so I trust the principal to address those issues. We use cloth diapers and each new teacher has needed to be shown how to use them (with days of leaks and hiccups until they get the hang of it). To be fair, there are many cloth diaper brands/varieties and most people are so familiar with disposable diapers that cloth feels daunting, and I am grateful they have all worked with me so I can keep using them. The food offered is required to follow FDA guidelines so it's heavy in grains and dairy, which I am not comfortable with. I request alternative lunches some days (which they provide) and send snacks from home (which they accept) as a workaround. That's all I have for negative, and it's pretty nit-picky - I have heard much worse complaints from most other moms I know, so I consider myself lucky. The bottom line for me is when I do have concerns, I have always felt like I could talk to the teachers directly or to the principal about them. I have always felt heard when I voice concern and I am usually included in the discussion about changes needed, instead of being shut out and told they'll handle it. Generally any issue is resolved with respect and grace - we are all human and there is a lot of trial and error when you're working with many different personalities, especially child personalities! read more

I agree with my wife. We were very worried about our first born daughters care while we were working. I can tell you that there is absolutely no worry any more. The staff at Stepping Stone School 4 is AWESOME!!! They truly care about our daughter and it shows. Our daughter is constantly coming home with new words, new skills and shows exceptional interactive skills and I thank the staff at Stepping Stone. The teachers are always smiling and happy when I'm dropping her off in the morning or picking her up in the afternoon. My daughter starting going to SSS when she was 3 months old. She's now 6 months. I am a very paranoid overprotective momma. I went in with a full list of questions, and they answered them all. I call at least 3 times a week to check on her every week, and they are very welcoming of it. Ms. Rebecca just loves my littler girl. Every time I drop her off she smiles when she sees the teachers, and that in turn makes me happy and most of all comfortable when leaving her there. The tadpole system is great as well. I get to see pictures of her throughout the day, and get a detailed report of her day. Feedings, diaper changes, naps, medications. So when I get her home I know exactly how her day was. They do art projects every week as well. I have a fridge full of them! It's not ideal leaving your baby to go to work, it goes against every instinct in your body. Knowing she's in good hands make it that much more bearable. :) read more

Our daughter is in Stepping Stone 15. It had come highly recommended by a trusted co-worker and I can see why! When I walked in the door Cheri, the schools Director, immediately greeted me and listened kindly to my needs and hopes for our daughter in her school. She was more than happy to escort me around and show me the room that our daughter would be in. I left feeling so grateful for the recommendation and for the incredibly warm welcome I had received!! Miss Eileen was our daughters first teacher. WHAT A GEM! I can honestly tell you there is a place in my heart for her. She has shown our daughter sincere love and kindness that you would only see with friends and family and that meant everything to us. I have to also add that she was a huge help in getting our daughter potty trained and ready to advance to the next age group. We then met Miss Heather. Where do I begin. For the first month my daughter had moved into Miss Heather's class she would ask me every day - am I going to be able to see Miss Heather today? They were instant kindred spirits and when I drop her off every morning I know I am leaving her with someone who doesn't just teach her but shows her genuine kindness and love. As a parent, that truly means EVERYTHING. My daughter is three and a half now and everyday she tells me about her day...she learns something new everyday and amazes us with her knowledge of topics such as the solar system or why it rains. We owe it to Stepping Stone. You will never be disappointed with the level of expertise of both the heart and the mind!! I have put all four of my kids in stepping stone. My oldest is now 19 and my youngest is 3. Recently, I put my 3 year old in the stepping stone woodland village location. Mauricia Rogers is amazing and super helpful! She left me feeling incredibly comfortable leaving my daughter there and my daughter came home smiling! We love the Stepping Stone school philosophy and curriculum (since 2005 for us!). We were so close to leaving it because there was/is a lot of onsite management issues at the Lakeline location. HOWEVER, we found out that the teacher, Ms. Stephanie, my toddler had (since she was 13-months old), transferred over to this location. We spoke to Katie, the onsite principal and she took care of everything for us! We toured the school, and while smaller than the other location, it was clearly easy to see that Katie is well organized, a great communicator and the staff there is happy! The following week, our sweet girl was so excited to see Ms. Stephanie and actually one of her old friends who had also transferred earlier. Ms. Stephanie is an awesome teacher. You can truly see that she cares for her students and is so sweet! If you have a toddler and are looking for daycare around this area, this is the place to be.
