I am beyond grateful to have discovered The Goddard School, a truly exceptional daycare that has become a second home for my son. The facility is immaculately clean, well-organized, and filled with new educational curriculum weekly. But what sets The Goddard School apart is the love, care, and dedication of the staff. As a first-time mom, I was anxious about leaving my son in someone else's care, but from the very first day, Mrs. Brianna, Ms. Krystin, and Ms. Paige put my mind at ease. They kept me informed about my son's daily activities, meals, and milestones, which helped me feel connected to his life even when I was not there. They even caught developmental delays that needed to be escalated to the pediatrician, to which my son received speech and physical therapy. We are so happy we chose this daycare! We had an awful experience at a different daycare we went to so we are extremely happy this one has been great! We get pictures of our daughter doing different activities each day and she constantly looks extremely happy and enriched with new things. Goddard has helped our son through a lot of transitions and challenges. We had to pull him out of Goddard at 18mo old so he could be in full-time ABA therapy. Sarah and Amanda from the front office and Ms. Dani were such a huge help at that time while we were making this difficult decision. 2 years later our son was ready to transition back to Goddard. They were there with open arms and were so helpful and encouraging. Our son started back in Ms. Courtney's class. I can't say enough great things about her! She did an amazing job helping our son transition back into Goddard full-time. She truly has a passion for teaching kids and you can see her compassion and enthusiasm every time you watch her. 1.5 years later our son is in Ms. Markita and Ms. Jillian's class. I was shocked at first hearing the work our son would be doing and that he would have weekly homework, but we've had so much fun doing it as a family! It also helps us see where our son is at with his skills. Just 2 months into this class and he's doing things I didn't think he'd be doing for another year! He is tracing and coloring well and writing his own name. He is learning so much in this class and has so much fun that he asks us to pick him up later. Ms. Markita and Ms. Jillian have done a wonderful job keeping us updated on his transition into the class and letting us know what things he's struggling with so we can work on it at home. My child attends the Goddard School and has for the last 5 months. During our search for a school, the Goddard School made us feel welcome even during our tour. They have continued to make us feel welcome and our child feel special every day. They take safety very seriously and have gone above and beyond during this time of COVID to make us feel comfortable and safe to send our child to school. As a new Mom they have helped me along the way with updates and when to move to a new stage in our child's milestones. They stay on top of communication with honesty, transparency and respect. Wow, what RUDE people! I need to put my little on in daycare so I called over to the school to check the tuition rates as well as some information about their program. Those people were INCREDIBLY RUDE on the phone. They said "we encourage people to come in and discuss our tuition with us as we are competitive with the others". I'm sorry but if I can't get simple information on the phone and be treated nicely, I will NOT be bringing my child there to be treated the same way. Beware, if you call them, you will leave the conversation feeling like they were trying to stomp on you and hide information from you. I don't recommend it at all. read more

Parents please avoid this day care! If I could give this place negative points I would. After reading reviews on this facility we made the choice to take our son here. Turns out it was almost a life changing mistake. We received notice that our 19 month old child somehow mysteriously escaped their facility outside. They notified us the following day from the incident. Thankfully a caring parent found him outside their facility. Thinking what could have happened, the lack of response time from this day care is alarming. Having 10 children outside with 2 supervisors should be doable. They had no idea how long he was gone for. They couldn't find the location he escaped from on their own after surveying the area, but rather had to have the parent who found him explain where he was. The manager blamed this all on a "shift change" that was occurring while the children were outside and wouldn't take any real responsibility or ownership of how to make sure this would be avoidable in the future. THIS PLACE IS A BIIIIG NO FOR ME! MONEY HUNGRY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME HERE. sO MANY CHOICES, DO NOT GO HERE. Teachers are the one good thing about this school (hence the second star), unfortunately the administration (and the owner) are as fake as can be. They seem all sweet BEFORE you sign up with them, but then are extremely rude and unprofessional. Their billing policy shows how money hungry they really are. Of course the school is shut down for just about every holiday...and of course you are billed for those. Also, they shut down for a week at the end of the year...and of course you are billed for those. Pay no attention to the weekly rate they give you, because they "nickel and dime you" when you get your first bill. We thought we were prepared for the routine illnesses that come with daycare when having a newborn, but werent prepared for missing a total of 11 days of work in the first 2 months. AND YES...you pay for the days your child is not allowed at daycare. read more

This is disturbing. We were never told a teacher was terminated. In fact, we were told one quit (even though they reassured us nothing had happened), and the other teacher was going to help in other classrooms. Then we never saw her again. The lack of transparency is disturbing at this school. We pushed passed many many issues less severe than this one in the past two years, but ultimately, the safety of our son is most important to us. Update: we left this school. The nail in the coffin was when we were checking out the DFPS website and found out an investigation had concluded there was abuse. I think it's the same investigation my son was interviewed for that I was told by the office was nothing. Then the teacher suddenly quit (or so we were told). It's scary when daycares are not honest about what happens when you are not there. Please check the DFPS website for any school, and keep checking for updates. Don't assume they'll be honest. Previous update: I have to lower my rating, I thought I edited my review so I apologize if this is duplicated. I am so frustrated with the turn over and lack of support at this school. I am not sure what is happening, but there seem to be new teachers all the time. Each time my son gets a new teacher or classroom he regresses with his potty habits. We've brought in a lot of extra clothes because of this. He had 5 changes of pants and undies in his cubby on Friday, but came home with a diaper (not his, he doesn't wear diapers anymore) under his underpants instead of changing his clothes. If this were the first time, maybe I wouldn't be this upset, but this is the third time and we speak to the office each time t happens. This morning, instead of apologizing or figuring out solutions with me, the office staff just told me he had been having issues with the potty. He was, but only had one accident last week and was finally over his regression. So why the diaper? Absolutely unacceptable. We should have just walked away after the last teacher was investigated for something and his teacher after just up and disappeared. Things are not great at this school right now. read more

My son was recently taken out of this school and moved to another but I feel the need to share the lack of knowledge or professionalism of this school with other parents. I recently called the school to be added to my son's emergency contact list because his father had failed to do so and I wanted to fix the mistake, at first I had called the Pflugerville location out of confusion and they had told me there was no one of my son's name at the school, which confused me since I do have pictures of my son at the school but then the director said she would call the Round Rock location to see if he was at that one. They said he was not a student nor had ever been a student. This started to raise some red flags for me since his father and I do have a court order in place and it looked to be as if he was violating it when they told me that my son was not a student at either school. I called the Round Rock location myself and asked to speak to the director and the woman on the phone said she was the director and claimed to know every students name and had never heard of my son's name or his father's name (he picks my son up from school everyday.) She seemed very confident and I started talking to his father who insisted that he did go to this school and had no idea why they would have no record of him and this moved me to threaten to file a police report for a violation of our court order. After getting some advice, I called the school one more time to be 100% positive that my son was not enrolled here and they continued to insist that he was not a student, I asked them to check one more time and was put on hold, 5 minutes go by and the "director" goes "Hi, ma'am, we found your son in our system. When he was enrolled here his grandmother brought him in so he was under her name." Eventually I got added to my son's list and started to get updates but one of y'all's employees told my son's father that I was not a pleasure to talk to and frankly I don't see how I am the problem when you guys can't even keep track of your students, and I hope your owner contacts me about the unpleasant time I had when I was being told my kid was not enrolled in a school he went to since he was about 4 months old. read more

We love Ms. Lydia and Ms. Makayla and their interactions with our daughter. We feel as though Finnley is treated with love, kindness and respect within the classroom. Management is responsive to parent concerns which is comforting when an issue arises. This is the third preschool our daughter has been in within the last 2 1/2 years as other schools had high turnover, management concerns and unimpressive teachers. We are about to have our second child and he will be entering Goddard full time as we have absolute confidence that he will be treated as well as our daughter has been. read more

The only thing good about this school is Ms. Breanna and Ms. Vanessa. Everyone in the office especially Amanda are condescending, the way she talked to me was always belittling. Also when you refer and someone does choose this daycare they don't tell you what you get from the referrals but ignore it everything it was brought up. read more

I recently transitioned my son from the Children's Courtyard into the Goddard school due to constant neglect and terrible communication. Since enrolling my son, he has had a 180 and behavior. He is sweeter, calmer, sleeps better, and just overall a more happy child! I cannot say enough good about Mr. Ryan, Miss Katherine, Miss Samantha, and the admin staff that made this transition a most delightful one. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Goddard School. Our two daughters have been attending the school for a year and a half. We moved our children to Goddard from their old school because we felt like they needed a little more in the way of academics. We could not be more pleased. The teachers at the school are wonderful. Our two daughters, who are now five and three, have truly blossomed. They love going to school and are always excited to share what they have learned. Our daughter has attended Goddard for 1.5 years now. We've had FANTASTIC experiences with the 2 teachers she has had, Ms. Brianna and just recently, Mrs. Elsa. Both of these teachers have such a giving heart and are always happy to see her. The classes move together which has been great in her building her firsts friendships. My 2 year old son has been at this Goddard location for almost 2 months now. This has been our first daycare experience and as a first time parent with a lot of anxiety, it took many interviews of area daycares and months of consideration before we finally decided on Goddard. Amanda in the front office was so patient with me, answering my many questions for months before we finally enrolled. All of the Admin in the front office are so wonderful and friendly! They make us feel truly welcomed every time we enter the building. Our teachers Miss Elsa and Miss Amanda are so very special. They have taught our sweet boy so much since he started there! His vocab has exploded, he has learned to count to 10, he's making little friends and we're all working together towards potty training. The Tadpoles app that they use to send photos of our kiddo throughout the day is really great as well. We're always amazed by all the fun activities that they're doing! We loved this school for over 2 years, but when it came time to send our little man off to kinder we are now being required to pay for an additional 10 days of school which we do not want because our mandatory 30-day written notice was not turned in on time. A verbal notice wasn't good enough. What a crock. So we didn't give exactly 30 days notice. Who cares? Cannot believe your company cannot be flexible on this at all. Do you think peoples lives and plans always revolve around the Goddard Schools 30 day schedule? The fact that we have been a customer for over 2 years and are not flexible on this policy is frankly ridiculous. I was told that we will be sent to collections. Fine, send me to collections and I'll give you one star on Yelp. You win Goddard. read more

Researching my reviews, you will see we have been at a Goddard for almost five years. We started at the Goddard in Pflugerville, which we loved, and moved to the Goddard on Gattis because it was very close to our house. We reviewed and talked with the staff of Goddard on Gattis and were a little put off by the business nature (meaning our kids were seen as money, not kids to teach and play with) but we felt it was not an issue as the teachers were what we wanted, approachable, considerate, educated. After all, they would be teaching our kids, not the admin staff. After almost two years, we are no longer interested in dealing with the admin staff, including the owner. We have always asked questions and wanted to know what the school was doing because we want to be on the same page. If our children are doing something well, we want to know what the school is doing to encourage it so we can do the same. If our children are doing poorly, same thing, let's be on the same page so we can encourage good choices. A few months ago, our four year old came home talking about having to hide and be quiet at school and that strangers are now scary. We were alarmed and asked more questions until we realized it must have been an intruder drill. This was the first we heard about it. The next day we asked the admin staff about the drill and they provided details (including security procedure which I thought was a bad choice of sharing). I asked why it was not announced to the parents as we would want to encourage and prepare the kids as well. Their response was "Well, public schools don't announce drills". Goddard is not a public school. They are a highly rated (and expensive) early childhood development school. When I explained this was not good enough, they just blankly looked at me and did not understand why I would be concerned. I approached the teachers and they seem to have different details about the procedure than was explained to me by the admin staff. There is a disconnect. About a month ago, my four year old was having trouble in class. The teachers explained my child was not listening to instructions and having some trouble getting along with other kids. A discussion with the teacher revealed that my child was bored and asked us to bring in school books. We liked the suggestion and brought in pre-k, First and Second grade school books which provided immediate relief. My four year old's reports were more positive. The teachers explained that my child might be a better fit for the next level pre-k class so I approached the admin staff. It was explained to me that all the pre-k classes are the same and that moving classes would not resolve anything. I was dissatisfied with this answer so again I approached the teachers for their point of view. It is definitely believed that there is a different skill level in each class and that my four year old should be moved up. Another disconnect between admin and teachers. Just yesterday, my four year old was telling me that friends are no longer in class. Turns out they have been moved up. The teachers were confused why other children were being moved up and not ours. I will put more stock into what I am told by teachers rather than what I am told by the admins because the teachers are in the trenches, they see the children every day. Also, my experience with the admin staff including the owner has not been positive which is why this review is low. I really want to rate this Goddard two stars however the admins have changed communication policies after our discussions and I really do like the teachers. Teachers: 4 stars Admin: 2 stars I am thrilled other parents and children have such a positive experience. It is great when you find a fit. However, if you are like us, this Goddard will not be a good fit. read more

They left a toddler in the infant class for 3+ months even though the toddler was repeatedly biting the babies. The safety of the infants was not a priority. The owner, Ryan, said there is no limit to the number of bites or number of children bit by a single child that will cause them to be asked to leave. Again, these are infants that are being bit. My not even 6 month old has bruises from getting bit twice 4 days ago. This is NOT a safe place for your baby. read more

I totally agree with the above reviewer (Jen). Sadly I had the same experience when I was looking for daycare for my twins early last year. I initially sent a query through the email and Ryan (the owner) called me back that day. When I asked him about the rates, he avoided the subject by telling me how great the school program is then he asked me to set up a time to visit the school in which he believed I will be blown away and whatever it is, it will worth the cost. I declined because to me, what's the point to visit if it's going to be over my budget. We've had our son at the Goddard school on two different occasions now and have had a great experience with the school. The teachers, administrators, and facilities are all great. I highly recommend the Goddard School if you are looking for somewhere to work with and teach your child, rather than a daycare which simply looks to keep them alive and taken care of. We've also really appreciated their attention to detail. On occasion, our son, as kids will do, has suffered various minor injuries. In each case they always call us to let us know, create an incident report, and work with us to address any concerns moving forward. Overall they have been exceptionally communicative with us. The only negative I might have is that, particularly on our second stint there, there seems to be a higher turnover amongst the teachers than would be ideal. read more

My daughter has been attending Goddard since we relocated from Las Vegas in January. She absolutely loves going to "school" and seeing Ms. Brianna and her friends every day. Their Tadpole app has helped ease the transition from one learning center to another. I receive daily notes letting me know all the standards/subjects learned, as well as 2-3 pictures of her involved in the activities on a daily basis. The staff seems to be a real family as they all address my toddler by name as she is coming in or leaving which I find extraordinary. She has had a few incidents with getting hurt but I was informed immediately which is extremely important to me. Keep up the great work. read more

This school is as good as it gets. My grandson spent two years at Goddard before going to Elementary School, trust me if Goddard went through Junior High he would still be there. He learned so much while attending those two years and is excelling in regular school because of the hard work from the teachers and staff at the school. They have a truly high standard when it comes to educating our children and my grandson was so blessed to be able to spend the time that he did at this school. He has just finished Summer Camp 2015 at Goddard and he thoroughly enjoyed it, he got up positive about going every day and hopefully will return in 2016. If you are considering sending your child(ren) to this school don't consider any more do it trust me you won't regret it, your child(ren) will thrive in this environment. Simply wonderful! Our 2 children went to Goddard and adored everything about it. Before joining Goddard, our son spent a year at Primrose and we were totally disappointed by that experience. As soon as Goddard opened its doors we enrolled our son and he immediately blossomed. The teachers are wonderful, friendly, nurturing and come with a lot of experience. Their classes are structured but they also remember that children need to play and have fun too. The environment is beautiful and always very clean. I would not recommend this school if you are a single father. I've complained multiple times that I am not contacted when my child is sick, hurt, or has other relevant information. They refused to correct their mistake and explained that they don't feel the need to contact the other parent when there are changes in regards to the child. The school allowed the mother to cancel my child's enrollment without ever contacting me. This is after I submitted court documents, had them attached a sticky to his file, and personally talked to the director. read more

I like the care that the teachers show. They're all very loving and caring. My son enjoys going to school and that means the world to me. The daily reports with photos are reassuring as to what is happening each day. The front desk is super awesome, especially Sarah & Amanda. I appreciate the secular nature of the school as compared with the overtly religious nature of so many preschools. We're very happy with the Goddard school. My aunt, who has a Masters in early childhood education, has said that the activities as detailed in the daily reports are the kinds of things that a preschool should be focusing on.
