We have been at LHP since November 2022. Our 3 year old had a brief break in childcare so it was an adjustment for him to return. LHP was very patient. Since our son has been enrolled, we have noticed a huge difference in his vocabulary. He is so talkative and expressive, and I believe that LHP has had a huge influence on that. Our son looks forward to playing with his friends every day. It can be stressful to find a childcare provider that you feel comfortable with and trust leaving your child with, I can say that while our son is at LHP, I know he is cared for and learning! We sadly are switching schools because of the commute. If it not for the commute, we would stay for sure. We will miss LHP and thank Reena and her staff for caring for our son so deeply. read more

As new parents during this pandemic, we were very apprehensive regarding the idea of a preschool for our baby daughter. All our worries and concerns completely disappeared once we came across Learning House Preschool (LHP) in Round Rock at the referral of a coworker's family. Miss Reena has a 25 year experience in taking care of children from infancy through the pre-school years, and it shows. From our very first interaction we felt safe in the knowledge that our daughter will be in good hands in a healthy, safe, and structured environment conducive to learning and development, not just a "parking lot" for babies during the workday. We were given an after-hours, thorough tour of the facilities prior to enrolling, and we were impressed by the meticulous care with which everything is done, from the Montessori/Phonics methods of learning for all children, to the great variety of play/learning stations, the various activities offered, and the seemingly odd conviction (from a business perspective) to choose a smaller number of children receiving exceptional care and education over a larger number of children without this personalized attention. We have seen enormous changes in our daughter's development in less than two months, with much greater independence in play, improved confidence in exploring the world around her under supervision, as well as practical improvements such as sleep and eating, and we can directly attribute every single improvement to the tireless work of Miss Reena. Although there are no "fancy" offerings such as video surveillance and smartphone apps, parents of both infants and toddlers have open lines of communication in realtime via WhatsApp channels, and a daily personalized report during drop-off and pick-up to address any issues/concerns and offer invaluable advice on everything childcare-related. We have seen from other parents that they completely trust LHP with their children for all their formative toddlerhood and preschool years, and although our daughter is not old enough for the complete learning experience yet, we can definitely understand the strong bond parents and babies feel to LHP. Honesty, transparency, constant feedback, and an overall safe and loving environment made LHP the right choice for us, and we are looking forward to the next months and years of seeing our baby growing, socializing, learning, and getting ready for school! read more

LHP is a fantastic preschool. My 1 yo took his time to adjust but now he loves it so much. No more crying at drop offs and pick ups. The most important thing is the teachers are willing to work with the parents and adjust kids schedule accordingly. The facility is very clean and they have very fun activities for the kiddos. Ms.Supreet, Ms.Maribel, Ms. Reena did a fantastic job to help him adjust. Finding a perfect daycare is really hard for your little one and I am so glad we found this school. There are so many wonderful things I want to say about miss Reena and her staff!! Firstly, I moved to the area 2 years ago. My daughter is 4.. we had a hard time finding a place we really liked. Enter miss Reena Saluja! She is the owner and head teacher. She is warm, friendly, and kind. She loves my daughter like she was her own. Also miss sundhya is very good! She is also sweet and warm! My daughter loves going here! And since she has started I have seen enormous growth. She knows her ABCs.. and can write them. And also can count and write from 1-20!! Miss Reena follows Montessori type curriculum! We have been so very happy here! Side note: during these uncertain times, I was furloughed from my job when covid started back in March.. I unfortunately had to pull my daughter out because we could no longer afford it due to me not working! Miss Reena was very understanding. She not only held my daughters spot till she could come back. But they also did distance learning for 30min each day on zoom! This is the kind of attention and love you will get here! Learning House Preschool really exemplifies the difference between a day care and a school. LHP is very very different and much much better than commercial day cares. Imagine a typical day care: changing teachers, canned food snacks for kids, toys lying all around constantly rotating shifts of teachers, kids running amok with boogers from their nose, baby shark playing on the radio and frequent infection notices on the door. LHP is nothing like that, it is really a school for toddlers and young kids. LHP has a permanent staff, a very effective owner operator (Ms. Reena) who cares and about kids and is personally involved in each kids'upbringing and zero infection cases. Most commercial day cares will have all the bells and whistles of cameras, smart phone apps and a brilliant social media presence, but the key thing is always missing - teachers who actually talk to the kids and teach them life skills. You will find that at LHP. Also, all kids bring their own food from home. This is great because kids get home cooked nutritious meals and also get used to a variety of fruits and vegetables, compared to commercial day cares, where usually the food served is canned, pre packaged in order to save costs. Ms. Reena ensures kids do not waste food and learn to finish what is on their plate. Cleanliness is utmost at LHP. LHP ensures that neither parents nor kids wear shoes inside the classroom. Mats and blankets are given back to parents to wash every week and you will find no kids with boogers flowing from their noses. As most working parents know, toddlers spend most time at home running around, watching youtube and rarely are able to enforce the discipline to perform activities. Ms. Reena aims to teach all kids to sit down and actually perform activities (as they will be expected to in elementary school) so that it is a smooth transition. I remember my first visit to LHP for a tour, I was so surprised by how well mannered and disciplined all the kids were, no noise, no toys thrown all over and all kids were sitting down and enjoying their own activities. Kids range from 18m to 4 years so the younger kids tend to learn skills from the older kids and the older kids learn to share and care about younger kids. Most 4 year olds at LHP can write full sentences and even do basic math. We have been so happy since our 18m old could join LHP, we are noticing a significant improvement in his manners, vocabulary and discipline. Moreover, absolutely no infections whereas, he used to fall sick and bring infections at least twice a month from our previous commercial day care experiences. Ms. Reena brings a lot of experience of raising kids and knows all her kids and parents personally, she exactly knows where each kid is in their growth curve and tailors her approach to suit them. Ms. Reena also employs the best of phonics and Montessori teaching techniques. Over the years, the kids graduated from LHP have consistently outperformed their peers in elementary and middle schools. All kids respect and are really bonded with Ms. Reena and Ms. Sandhya as they are permanent teachers with LHP. We also love the brand new spacious location that LHP has just moved into. Very convenient to Round Rock residents and Dell employees. They also have a recently opened infant wing. We feel really fortunate to have such a great school in Round Rock (many parents bring their kids driving over 1 hour daily, because they know its worth it). This is a hidden gem that we learned from a co-worker. While i like to have LHP to keep its homely feel, I am really excited about the growth of this institution and this new journey they have begun. I am not a person who usually writes reviews online, but Ms. Reena and her teachers truly deserve it. As a full-time working mom and pregnant with my second child during the COVID years, I experienced trauma when my elder child wasn't meeting milestones at the age of 3. A Yelp search led me to their center, where I found compassionate owner Ms. Reena who could help my child. She made me feel comfortable leaving my child at her care, and as promised- I noticed a significant improvement in my child's progress in the very first 3 months and now my kid is ready for Kinder. Ms. Reena is also fortunate to have such dedicated and supportive staff like Ms. Sandya in her preschool, who are committed to not only improving the academic abilities of her students, but also shaping them into responsible members of society .Their preschool teaches recycling and food waste concepts, which is uncommon at this tender age. After checking out a handful of preschools which made us more nervous and anxious about leaving our daughter with people we didn't know, was not an easy task. Then we came across Learning House Preschool, which not only took away our doubts and anxiety but immediately give us reassurance and confidence that our daughter was going to be just fine. Ms. Reena is very Hands-On with each child, the student teacher ratio is amazing, not only is the atmosphere warm and welcoming for everyone, but the open communication and weekly updates are what we always look forward to. My almost 4 yr old daughter has been attending for a little over a year and is excelling in so many ways. I really appreciate that each child is challenged at their own level and pace. From day to day basic skills, to reading and writing, leading to how to positivly deal with situations as she learns of this world. It's amazingly reassuring when my daughter wakes up every morning eager to get to school. My 2-year-old is going to be starting here within the next month. Learning House Preschool has been nothing less than a blessing in our life, and we deeply appreciate Ms. Reena and her staff for always putting the kids first. I can't say enough good things about the learning house preschool. The name says it all. We started our journey with learning house preschool in 2012 and we have been with them ever since. My kids are very fortunate to have started their journey of learning under the guidance of Ms. Reena. She is an expert, extremely creative, very kind-hearted, and one of the most hard-working people I have ever met. All the staff is exceptional and genuinely care about the kids as their own. This place is not just about teaching educational skills but also takes care of the kid's social and emotional skills. Unlike other daycares where food is provided to the kids which as a parent I am not a big fan, Kids here bring their lunch from home but, Ms. Reena makes sure the kids get two serving of nutritious snacks, one during the morning and one in the afternoon. Throughout the year kids learn about different big festivals that are celebrated in the United States and Ms. Reena prepares the kids for the end of the year celebration which boosts their confidence in performing in front of the crowd. Not only the kids, but Ms. Reena also knows how to pamper their parents by celebrating Mother's Day and Father's day every year no matter what the circumstances are. All in all, I highly recommend Learning house preschool for anyone who wants a safe, practical, loving environment for their child that will absolutely prepare them for school in a positive way. read more
