Man, super disappointed with this spot. We have been in several times for night caps, usually some of their delicious martinis, and decided to stop in and try their food. 5pm on a Saturday and there wasn't a soul in sight besides two people at the bar. The hostess greeted us, and told us she only had one table available. Figuring dinner hour was just starting we were happy to get a table without reservations and even happier to be seated next to the bar so we could hopefully move over to the bar after dinner. The luck seemed to start turning there. Our waitress came over and told us off the bat they didn't have chicken to add on to salads and they were out of meatballs. They just opened at 5, they're already out of chicken??? So we order our drinks and start to look over the menus and start to overhear the bartender having a loud conversation over the bar with another waitress as though we're not even there. A man came out of the back (the owner? A manager?) and looks around the restaurant at all the empty tables and says "wow, are we open?" in a sarcastic tone, then disappears back into the back. The bartender/waitress go right back to their conversation, and within 5 minutes the man is back out front talking to them asking "did she just give out paper menus?" Which was loudly relayed down the bar to the hostess who relayed back that she had. Again the man is gone looking disgusted only to come back and tell the bartender to "tell her just to use the paper" which was again relayed loudly down the bar. At this point our two apps had arrived, arancini and a Mediterranean plate. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either, and the environment was certainly not comfortable enough to make it worthwhile. More tables started coming in, although the place was still half empty and the hostess comes back to the bartender saying "that lady with the short blonde hair wants a 5 top at 5:30 with no reservation, is she crazy??" I didn't see what happened with that, but wow, someone wants to eat at your restaurant but doesn't have a reservation and you're mad about it? We decided to pay and leave rather than continue on with the madness, but it took our waitress ten minutes to bring us the bill, during which time the man had come back out with a stack of paper menus and thrust them at the waitress. Idk of his attitude ruins it all for the staff, but I definitely am not interested in going back for mediocre food and that type of show. read more

The food here is fantastic very flavorful for small portions, so you always feel satisfied. My family (all good foodies and good cooks) and I have dined here several times, and each time we are not disappointed. We have so much fun picking out the "next round" of plates. My husband and I stumbled upon this place recently. It was good not great. The drinks were yummy and they had live music which was great! We'll definitely go back to sit at the bar, enjoy a few drinks and listen to the music. read more

The food is okay. Definitely check the menu before you go, it also takes a REALLY long time for it to come (I ordered a salad) That said their drinks are good more a place for having a nightcap and listening to some mussic rather than food. read more

First time at Stella Blu. Gracious service. Welcomed by the manager. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks served at proper temperature. Haven't had the tapas yet, so this is based only on their drinks. This is the old manhattan on pearl. It probably has the most impressive beer list in Nashua. La fin du monde, couple sam smiths and smuttynose porter are on their menu. The drink prices are inflated as you would expect from a place like this with an upscale feel. They have a wide array of fruity drinks that get called martini's. It's a good date spot or place fora group gathering. read more

Downtown Nashua has come along way and has a lot to offer. Stella Blu is a nice alternative to the typical, loud crowded bar scene. Best to make reservations if you plan on sitting at a table on the weekends. We decided last minute to meet up with friends on a Friday night, and as luck would have it... we found 4 seats in a row at the end of the bar, which has a nice curve to it allowing for conversation. The decor is upscale and the whole place has a nice glow to it. So, a nice atmosphere for a 1st date, couples night out or just drinks and a nibble.They also have live music Wed, Fri & Sat. nights (no cover) which starts about 9pm. Our bartender (there were two) greeted us promptly and offered drinks & menus. We told her we weren't in a rush and considering it's tapas style, wanted to order as we went along. The beer & wine selections are good and the bartender made a good drink.. If you are looking at the online menu, keep in mind that they change their items periodically. I was looking to try the Duck Rangoons, but they had just updated the menu. So don't be surprised if there are some changes. We ordered some garlic shoe-string fries and also the pesto waffle fries w/melted cheese.(Mmmm) Both were crispy, hot and delicious. Then we had the Kobe sliders...they looked good and tasted ok, but we were a little disappointed in the lack of seasoning and would have liked a toasted bun. Moving on, we then ordered some wine by the glass and some more food. Hey... there were 4 of us and we were hungry! The Pulled Pork looked good but was a 3) piece serving. Thankfully, the bartender (not prompted) offered a +1 option for us. Perfect! It was served on cornbread, which was really more like a spoon bread. They were moist and flavorful without too much sauce. Not bad. We then tried the fried Calamari, which were light and crispy with a tangy aioli type sauce. ( which by the way, would have gone well with the fries). Believe it not, we talked ourselves into desert and tried the fresh made cinnamon sugar donuts. There were 5 in the order and they were good except for the side of chocolate sauce.(you could tell it was Hershey's syrup) All in all, we had a good experience but our expectations for the food were a little higher. If Stella Blu could step up the food a notch to meet the atmosphere, it would truly be a great tapas bar. read more

Two of us went. I ordered the prime rib and lobster tail. My companion ordered two tapas - the breaded eggplant and the chicken dumplings. I found it odd that the waitress informed me that the rib only comes in medium rare. My companion's food came out in about 45 minutes and mine in about 55 minutes. I was disappointed they didn't come out at the same time. I was told the egg plant was delicious, but the dumplings were not. The sweet chili dipping sauce had too much chili and the dumplings had odd ingredients like corn. My prime rib and lobster tail meal was sub par. The rib was at least two days old and barely heated up in the microwave. It was overdone. The lobster tail was chewy and over done as well. Unfortunately, the broccoli on my plate was under done. The waitress never checked in on us. In fact, we waited 15 minutes for a check - we were clearly done. The place was mostly empty, so the wait was unnecessary. I've wanted to try this place for awhile, but I won't be going back. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. My husband and I went there to celebrate his birthday a week back and the waitress and owner made us feel so welcome. While we were there I noted that the owner personally went from table to table to greet each customer as well as to ask if all was satisfactory. Our waitress was the best that we have had in a very long time. She worked the floor as well as helping behind the bar. Considering she was pulling a little double duty she never made us wait for anything. The food and service were truly OUTSTANDING. Our evening was so relaxing. We ordered a plate or two enjoyed it and ordered more. So much to pick from. Food is upscale yet at the same time unique comfort food. No one would ever feel out of place at Stella Blu. We will be returning very soon. Thank you everyone for making my husbands birthday very special. For dessert make sure you try the donuts and make it extra special by getting the chocolate macaroon martini. read more

We arrived and were greeted quickly. A Friday night at 7 and it was not too busy but it picked up during the meal. We ordered for our group a number of items and not any really stood out. The food was average for most Tapas places we have been to in the past. The focus seems to be on the bar which was huge. It got to be very noisy toward the end of our meal. The service was excellent and friendly. It seems to me that this is a better place for a few drinks and a bite to eat vs. a dinner and a drink. read more

I haven't visited in a couple of years, historically, Stella Blu's food has been great. A couple weeks ago I was drawn in by the new menu options during the week. My boyfriend and I both got the prime rib, it was not great, honestly the 99's has better quality. It didn't seem fresh. I did have a Cosmo which was made perfectly! I would go back for their regular menu items since that's what I've had luck with in the past. read more

Okay....all I could think as we were eating was that it was okay, but not anything great. We had the lemongrass chicken dumplings, Brussel sprouts, arancini and the albondigas. All were just okay, which for what we're paying isn't worthwhile. The brussel's we're smokey, but plain and IMO missing an acidic note. The arancini were simply bland, crispy and a decent texture but I couldn't differentiate the prosciutto or provolone at all. The sauce a that accompanied it was also okay, not great. The chicken lemongrass dumplings were also unimpressive, the typical flavors of this type of dumpling lemongrass and ginger didn't come through. It was served with a sauce that while had a nice spice was extremely sweet. The albondigas were also pretty bland, no strong flavors and was even lacking an appropriate amount of salt. Over all my experience wouldn't bring me back. The beer was good as was the wait staff, but the food and atmosphere weren't up to snuff. read more
