This has been my first time here in Leavenworth, and without a doubt this is my favorite place. The staff is all helpful and enthusiastic. The seating and atmosphere is great and the music volume is not too loud, but a good selection of old and new. The beer selection is almost overwhelming, 55 taps to choose from. On top of all of this they have a good, but small menu to choose from featuring their rotisserie chicken, which was absolutely excellent! read more

We were disappointed after traveling throughout Oregon and Washington this summer that Leavenworth is hit and miss on enforcing best practices for COViD-19. At Stein, the outdoor tables were not sanitized between customers. When we went in to order our food for the patio, the line was not socially distanced and many people were choosing not to wear masks with no recourse. We felt uncomfortable and the food was definitely not worth the risk. read more

We loved the beer hall atmosphere and the number of draft beers was fantastic. The choices were nicely labeled on an electronic board to easily sort through options. The food was also high quality. Our family has the half chicken, chicken strips, quinoa salad, and a Bavarian pretzel. My only negative was that it was pricey for an order at the counter establishment. read more

Beer selection is amazing. Food, mediocre. Ordered a half chicken and fries, what arrived at the table was the smallest chicken I've ever seen, it was most like a Cornish game hen, for the price I would hope for a better value. Chicken tasted ok, fries were nice. Atmosphere is awesome, staff for the most part were friendly, a couple seemed uninterested in being there but if I lived there full time would likely feel the same. read more

We visited this weekend, we waited in line, ordered and sat inside. The beer was great and we enjoyed the food. As we were nearing the end of our dinner and halfway through our beers Anthony (the front door) walked to our table and was irritated saying it looked like we are almost done and that we "need to button it up in the next 10 minutes because people are waiting". We rode over three hours to go there and that was our first stop, we had been seated less time than it took us to get through line to order. It just ruined a great evening. We asked another staff member to speak to a manager, the manager refused to come out and instead sent back the server to ask what we wanted to fix it-we didn't get an apology from Anthony and we were not after anything else. If you are planning to visit this restaurant after a long trip, I suggest there is much better service elsewhere. read more

Great German style bar with lots of beers on tap, nice decor and vibe, good bar food, friendly staff.

Amazing service! We were there for the weekend and went twice because of their guest service and awesome selection of beer. I wish we caught his name but the gentleman who checked us out was so polite and knowledgeable about what they had. He wanted to make sure we got something we liked! Marcus also really stood out with his hustle and amazing attitude. Covid is hard on everyone but this establishment wouldn't let you know it. Thank you! read more

Great staff and great beer. Always a pleasure stopping in here. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable read more

I wouldn't recommend getting the yellow tail salad. The fish will be delivered overcooked, ruining the dish. but what they lack in fish searing skills they make up for in customer service which is why I'm still giving this place three stars. read more

Fast, excellent vegetarian options! I loved the curry rice bowl. Tons of healthy stuff but delicious too. My friend had the chicken breast, which is slow roasted, and my other friend had the chicken salad. Everyone found something they would like. Great atmosphere and not too expensive. I also like how the bathrooms are several individual non-gendered rooms, so women don't have to wait for a stall to open up. read more

Handsome venue, good food and a good beer selection. Better selection of beers than was available during my last visit. Also, now you can sample before you buy! Our beer tender, Elizabeth did a great job, and made some good beer suggestions. Highly recommend you visit! read more

Nice place but I feel like it's still in the developmental stage. Lacks atmosphere beyond hipsterville. We were there on a Saturday night and the place was dead. Went upstairs to the Bistro bar and couldn't find a table. Love the choices of beer but hate having to pay $2 to taste one before I order a pint just to make sure it's going to be something I want to drink. Staff was friendly but not in a warm welcoming way. Didn't try the food yet but will go again. Would be nice if they had some brats. Overall hopeful for this place but currently it's a meh, we'll what happens. read more

Loved this place! It has a huge beer selection and great atmosphere. We haven't ate here yet but we will defiantly be back to give their chicken a try, it smelled amazing! read more

I heard about Stein from a friend who recently went to Leavenworth and it did not disappoint. I had the ribs while my wife and kids had the rotisserie chicken and chicken strips. It was so good we all ended up splitting all our food with each other. read more

Amazing beer, food and atmosphere! We wandered into Stein for some food and a pint and fell in love. Don't be fooled by the simple food menu, it's terrific. The Garlic, Parm, Rosemary fries are no affectionately referred to as crack fries, soooo good! The chicken was super juicy and very flavorful. They had over 50 or so beers on draft, with lots of terrific IPAs, regional beers and a big assortment of interesting imports. It's a casual joint, seat yourself, walk-up service. Cool spot to hang for a couple hours. read more

55 taps, tough to complain. They also serve food, small menu but a good variety.

55+ beers and ciders on top and an excellent rubbed roast chicken in a friendly sharing clean environment. Been there serval times as my got to simple good food. read more

My husband and I visited this place over the weekend. They have a great beer tap selection, and the guy that was taking our order was very knowledgeable about the different beers and super personable. The pretzel was amazing, although the cheese sauce could jabbed been a little more flavorful. I had the brisket, which was on the dry side, but that just meant I drank more beer, but it was still very good. My hubs had the rotisserie chicken, which was really juicy and delicious! read more

I had an awesome experience at Stein. Spacious (for Leavenworth standards) little joint right in the heart of town. 55+ beers on tap with an awesome informational TV board. I myself had the #27, which was an IPA (can't remember the official name). Very good beer! They also have an excellent selection of bottled beers out front that you can purchase on your way out. The male bartender with longer hair and a beard was very quick and knowledgeable about the selection of beers. All of the staff was very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this joint time and time again! read more

Beer: you cannot go wrong on beer here! There are so many choices. Food: the rotisserie chicken is amazing! Staff: Awesome! Friendly, outgoing and super knowledgeable. Atmosphere: comfortable and fun. I would visit her again. read more

As soon as we walked in and saw the two 55" monitors that held the tap menu, we knew we were home. Bacon wrapped figs and fresh (temp perfect) IPA was brunch. Go here. They're new and local and amazing. Just go here. read more

Had a great beer mid day, came back in the evening to have it again and the big bartender guy with glasses struggled to pour one of the two we ordered getting nothing but foam. He told us he'd swap out the keg and bring it out to us. We sat down and about 5 mins later he brought us out 2 quite different beers then we had earlier in the day both on appearance and in flavor. We deduced that he probably gave us the beer that was next on the list being that they were somewhat similar. I went back up to ask a different bartender to pour me sample of the beer I wanted. She struggled just like the big glasses guy did before. She got enough for a half sample and so I tried it. It was the beer I initially ordered, not the ones that were served to us. I spoke to her about what her coworker had done and she said let me go speak to him. She did and then came back to give us a line of BS about how the foam changes the flavor profile. Been around long enough to know when I'm being BS'ed. Could have just owned up to it or told us it was out to begin with and it wouldn't of been a big deal. No one ever likes being lied to so that's why I spent the time making this review. Too bad something like this needs to be brought up but being lied to has to be addressed. read more

This place was AMAZING & has a great staff!! Out of Every where in town we came back 2 times in a 24hr time frame and the beer selection are awesome! My boyfriend found some new stuff, and they let you sample some different flavors before you get it! And GET THE WHOLE little chicken it's great! read more

Great bartender! Outstanding beer selection. We should have gotten the whole rotisserie chicken.

I cannot say a bad word about this place. An unbelievable selection of beers, great food, and the staff are just wonderful. Family friendly too! The bottle shop allows you to take a "souvenir" home, and the staff are incredibly forthcoming with well-informed recommendations. read more

Stumbled upon this place while meandering through Leavenworth on a Sunday night. We love the options for 50+ beers, ciders, wines, etc on tap. Love the northwest representation. Found out that the cider I selected is from Pullman (Go Cougs!!!). The fries are a delicious crispy sort that smell of rosemary and tastiness. Good value, friendly service, love the open seating. Great place for an impromptu or planned drink to kick off our mini vacation. Check this place out! read more

Awesome beer selection! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! One of the best places in town to kick back and relax. We will be here often! read more

This place has good prices for a touristy town but didn't enjoy my food. I think they have good made food, the flavor in the bowl I had did not mix well. The fries are very good though!! read more

Great night at Stein! Loved the band was really fun. Devils Gulch. But what really blew me away was Marcus's customer service and recommendations . He customized our drink selection and created a custom beer cocktail that was out of this world. I will definitely return next time I'm in Leavenworth and hope Marcus is working when I do. read more

Great selection of beers on tap. The bacon wrapped brat was the best price in town. Try the German beer flight.

In another town this place might fit right in, but it seemed out of place in a town like this. A high tech brew pub in an old fashioned style Bavarian town. The inside was decorated to seem old and industrial but it just didn't seem to vibe with the town to me. Don't get me wrong, some of my favorite tap rooms back home are the new digital menu high tech style, just not the type that should be in a town like this. There are 55 beers on tap so finding something you like here shouldn't be hard, but then again they charge you for each sample, so one might not want to even try. And the digital beer list, which added to the high tech out of place feel..... Had such small type ( the smallest I have ever seen on one of these ) one could hardly tell from a glance what they had. You ordered at the bar, no table service. And because I couldn't see the menu very well I paid $13.50 for a pint of beer on the recommendation of the bartender! I felt a little taken advantage of to be honest, he should have mentioned how much it cost. Oh well.... When on vacation we don't let the small things bug us. Probably would not return again though, too many places there to try. read more

My husband, our two friends and I stopped in for lunch this past weekend. The bartender was nice, and allowed us each to have two tasters before deciding on our beers. The selection they have for beer is great! Lots of local taps, as well as German beers are available. We decided to try to bacon-wrapped figs, which were delicious! Very sweet, so I'd recommend ordering them if you have a few people to share with (I couldn't eat more than one and a half because they were so sweet) -the app comes with 6. The pretzel and beer cheese dipping sauce were also awesome! We also ordered the hummus, which was pretty bland. Their fries were pretty good, a little on the salty side. Not sure what was going on with their audio -the volume for the music kept going up and down, then back up, and back down for the entire half hour we were there. It was a bit annoying, but didn't ruin our experience or anything. Overall, we would return. read more

Friendly staff, 55 beers on tap (and more for sale in the front of the store). We had nitro cream ale and roasted 1/2 chicken and fries. Good value ($22). Open seating area. We'll be back. read more

Good food, beer, and wine. You can get great beer, yet it is family friendly. Would go back.

Busy place during the Christmas season, but they have fast bar food and it's a family friendly place. Lots of beers on tap too!

Came on a Saturday night and had a delicious meal with family. First two places we stopped at had 1.5 - 2 hour waits, which is unrealistic with kids. Dropped in to Stein and got a table right away. The food was fantastic. Roasted chicken, bacon wrapped brat, French dip. Rosemary beer battered French fries were addictive. Prices were very reasonable and friendly service. read more

Yummy and super affordable food. Fun spot in Leavenworth. The chicken very well seasoned and only $10. Bacon wrapped brat was a hit too. Many taps available and my wife really liked her Pilsner citrus brew. She said it "Tastes like a pineapple beer". read more

Stopped in real quick for a beer. The place was very nice and they let you sample before commiting to a whole glass

The chicken is amazing. The beer list is impressive. I highly recommend it when you fall through Leavenworth.
