The food was bad and over priced. Bad food. Schnitzel burger and roast beef sandwich were poorly made and frankly gross.

I've been here a few times and am never let down by the beer and cider selection. The rotisserie chicken, fries and macaroni and cheese wedge are my favorite!!! Typically everyone there is friendly, only had one incident where the guy was a little snappy, but hey were all human. My husband got the brisket and didn't like it, it was dry and not that great at all. But overall it's a fun place to go! read more

What a YUGE collection of beer on tap, and what I love about this place is that you can order 1/3rd of a pint. Perfect size for drivers and folks just wanting to try just the right amount. The rotisserie chicken sandwiches were great, and me and my wife shared the big chief! My favorite beer is the hibiscus sour, just the right amount of tartness. read more

The fish and chips, brisket, chicken sandwich, and pita were all awesome! We enjoyed dinner there and returned the following night for live music, beer, and snacks. Great atmosphere, tasty food, excellent service! Added bonus: Skee ball! read more

Super great service! Priscilla waitresses/bartender was awesome and very helpful. She told us all about the surrounding areas and gave us some good recommendations. They had more bubbles on tap than what can be tested in one sitting. Their food is definitely better than expected too but for the good German food, go upstairs (says the Priscilla) to the German restaurant above the brewery. read more

As an extended Family with little kids dining early Monday evening, we had this huge place to ourselves for a while and it seemed like only 5-10 minutes before our food was ready, so some of it was . The counter service was great and we were asked at least 3 times if we needed anything. We didn't as we had plenty of food that we mostly finished. Whole roasted chicken had a pepper-herb flavor on the lightly crisped skin--delicious! Brisket basket with deep fried mac and cheese was as expected (we shared). Gouda stuffed dates were delectable! All else was likewise very very good. Will repeat visit, though we planned to try other places. read more

They have a huge tap list. I was a little disappointed. The tastes were big, but you are limited to two. I was unable to find one I liked and had to guess at what I wanted in a full size. We also had a pretzel. It was good but somewhat pricey. If you already know what you want, it is a great place to drink a very large beer. read more

Love love love this place! We went with another couple and their 2 kids. We spent 4 hours in there! They have over 50 types of beer and ciders. We started with fried Mac and cheese which was extra creamy and delicious. We ordered chicken tenders for the kids and it was fresh chicken very well seasoned and breaded. Try the brisket sliders, we ordered the hummus and it's a different taste because you can taste the artichokes but it won't disappoint. I tried the rose cider and if I could order it back in California I will. That's the best cider I've had in my life! Crisp, slightly sweet but not sugary and just perfect. read more

Didn't get to try the food because the host apparently "missed" my name in the queue. We had waited for 55 mins and all we get was oh, I am sorry that you were missed but I can put your name back and maybe another 30 mins wait. No thank you Stein, there is other better restaurants than you. Maybe their food is great but probably not the service that the host given. read more

We visited during the summer...so I'm sure the atmosphere is different in the fall and winter. They had soooo many beer choices which my husband loved. He prefers a very dark beer and very hard to please. But their darkest beer was among the best he's tasted. Please don't ask me the name, I don't like beer. Which brings me to my next compliment that the Stein has really great cider. I actually prefer hard liquor but I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone and try the cider...so glad I did!!! The Honey Lavender cider is the business The Stein is also family friendly as my 12-year-old stepson was visiting. They have a good availability of different glass sizes so you don't need to get drunk in order to enjoy a drink. Now the food. I'm extremely picky about my chicken. VERY. Their rotisserie chicken is also the BUSINESS. I ate it cold the next day and it was still delicious. My stepson also loved their chicken fingers. And...get this...they have legit vegan options for my husband. It's often difficult for us to find a restaurant we can both enjoy and the Stein suited us both. The bartender/server is so personable and just a great person to talk to. She also taught me that being born on the Canadian/Washington border makes your life a living he** when trying to get a passport Thank you so much for a providing good meal & drink options while ensuring that Bavarian feel. You don't have to eat red meat & pork to enjoy Bavarian food & surroundings. read more

This was our first time visiting Stein on our annual trip to Leavenworth. They have a wide selection of beers, ciders, and more but you only get two tastings per person which didn't help narrow down the choices. The female bartenders who were helping us were super rude and unwilling to help and answer questions my friends had about their selection of beers. They rushed us along even though there was no one else waiting to order. Their food looked amazing and the staff who served the food and bussed our table were super nice and friendly. If you are only going to give two tastings per person when you have a menu of more than 50 choices to pick from maybe more knowledgeable and friendly bartenders would be beneficial. read more

Great customer service, friendly individuals. Over 100 different flavored beer options, delicious food and it's just a very cozy environment. read more

So gross and overpriced. No flavor. I take my family to leaveville only to eat like swine.

Great taphouse with decent food options. HUGE selection of beers and super friendly staff! This is a must see for beer and/or meat lovers!

You know, it's all about timing. We waited in line for I don't know, seemed like for ever. No eye contact from the male bar tender at all this past Saturday. There was one couple he was helping that didn't know what to order. He was very nice to them but word to Managment, when we go to Icicle Brewing they say when your in line, "well be right with you sir" Eye contact and acknowledgement. There were employees standing around doing nothing and finally one of them ask if they could help us when they watched us stand there for ever. I really hope this place does well and we will probably come back and try it again. 55 taps is nice! Food, not sure left after the one beer we ordered. Didn't see any come out to look at! We were there at a slow time which made me concerned, what's it like when it's busy? There were some really nice people working there just poorly managed. read more

Food was meh and way overpriced. Beers weren't anything to write home about. And the beertenders weren't very helpful, bordered on making us feel uncomfortable. No reason to return read more

Love this place! Food was amazing! It was epic. Get the beef brisket with the Mac and cheese, also 7th heaven. Hope you come back again soon! read more

Casual dining for the best price, especially here in leavenworth. Beer is fairly cheap while the selection is huge. The food is yummy basic german bar food. The pretzel was super yummy. Try the fries, i think they are seasoned with lemon and garlic. Very clean, nice decor. read more

Actually pretty good for kids. Nice juicy chicken tenders and rotisserie chicken was fantastic. Try the sliders and brats. So many beers on tap but my pick was #19 (barrel aged). read more

So. Many. Beer. Choices! They have a decent system of waiting in line to order your beer. Leavenworth gets crowded so you can spend a long time in line, I just wish the menu was easier to read. There are so many choices but you can't really read them all the way down the screen until it's your turn and you can walk all the way down the menu. They offer tasting before you pick a beer which is always appreciated. Didn't try the food but may next time we are in town. read more

Good beer selection. Cute decorations. Great bathrooms. Was hard to navigate the beer list but found something eventually. Didn't try the food. read more

One of my favorites in Leavenworth! We tried the schnitzel burger and lamb gyro, both were great! We had ordered online, and then picked up and ate outside. The poutine was a little meh, but the outdoor temperture cooled the fries and cheese very quickly. A great selection of beers, great food, and they did a great job with pandemic safety. Love this place! read more

We were there for a new year party of 2020 and the place is so good . The drinks and food are little pricey and but the food is good , there are good option in drinks. drinks. Live music was nice, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. read more

Went to this restaurant to watch a Husky football game and planned to watch the whole game there eating and drinking and having a nice time. We were the only patrons for at least an hour and a half in our section. My table racked up a tab over $100 and were abruptly asked to move to a different table because they screwed up a reservation. The table they offered us did not have a good view of the football game, and instead of politely working to resolve the situation they told us to leave so they could seat their reservation. Incredibly disappointed that they did not respect our business and I hope they learn from this experience and are kinder to future guests. The manager himself was the man who 'apologized that WE felt this way' after being asked to leave our seat, and I will never return to a place that clearly doesn't want our business. read more

Our order got lost which caused us to wait over 40 minutes for our food, however the restaurant did an incredible job of apologizing and bringing our food out quickly once we let them know and even brought up a beer on the house. I was impressed by the impeccable customer service and also the food tasted great!! read more

What a great place! Lisa at the front was amazing and so helpful! We had the pretzel (which was super soft and delightful), the brisket sandwich and the chicken on pita. Super good food, the portions are hearty so we recommend sharing an entree and a starter. Would definitely return! read more

Stein - Tried to clear our plates, soooo much food! :D - Beer Bar Near Me - Leavenworth, Washington

Stein was great on a few levels. Beer selection is top notch and the pretzel and poutine we ordered was great. Tables inside were spaced apart and all staff wore a mask. Very solid. read more

Oh my goodness. This BRISKET. Got it on the tacos and they were HEAVEN. Perfect meal that didn't make me feel stuffed.

Come here for warm beer and a douché owner. I come to Leavenworth because I want a Bavarian experience, not a gentrified hipster experience.

I frequent Stein and mostly have had a good experience. I'd recommend the Schnitzel burger, pretzel, chickens are ok. I'll probably never get the fish and chips again, nothing special and were poorly cooked. As a local, it's sure expensive. read more

I am always happy to visit Leavenworth, but on my first visit to Stein's for lunch I was very disappointed with the bratwurst (pork sausage) and sauerkraut my wife and I ordered on April 2, 2021. It was a beautiful day and was looking forward to my German style lunch. The meals we received was not a bratwurst, but a small rindtwurst (beef sausage) and a very small portion of sauerkraut. The fries were plenty and tasty, I was just disappointed in the meal overall for the large price we had to pay. Stein should correct their menu it is not bratwurst that they offer, and I feel they are taking advantage of American people who may not know this. My wife and I will not be returning to Stein anytime soon. read more

Good food, amazing beer selection, with multiple wine and cider choices, too. Just wish they had diet soda available for those of us designated to be the driver. One of the best giant pretzels in town! read more

We waited for a very long time to get a table approximately an hour. Once we got to our table we had only a few minutes to drink our multiple drinks and multiple meals before they told us there was a "table time limit" and we needed to move along. They explained to us that this should've been explained to us outside, however, it was not. And we were still actively spending money in this bar. Guess what. We will never spend money here again. If you like poor service and mediocre beer this is a place to go. read more

Super cool beer hall with plenty of seating and 50+ taps. Would highly recommend stopping in for a drink if you're waiting for your table to be ready at Andreas Keller, or simply want a relaxed atmosphere to sample lots of different brews. read more

We ate dinner there on are last day in Leavenworth food and drinks very good . We will eat there again when we visit Leavenworth again

Marcus was our bartender and he was amazing! Conversated with us from the start and got to know us, which was amazing & we got to know him. Best bar to go to for drinks. Even before he left, he said goodbye to us and thanked us for visiting. He is amazing, and when we come back I hope he is still here so we can stop by and visit him. The food is great, try the brisket sandwiches they are amazing! Looking forward to coming here again, Thank you Marcus! read more

Stein features large, wooden picnic-style tables, and a sky-high beer menu. With over 50 beers on tap, it can be daunting to find the one right for you, but that's where the awesome bartenders come in. With a thorough knowledge of the menu, they can steer you in the right direction so you know you'll be sipping a beer you love before you know it. Decor-wise, everything is well done. From the front entrance to the bathrooms, Stein is welcoming, clean, and cozy. Highly recommend! read more

The beer selection seemed to be very diverse, which was nice. We came in to get some lunch and when we asked for a sandwich without the bacon, the girl taking our order told us all of the sandwiches were pre-made and they couldn't do it with no bacon. That should have given us a sign that the food wasn't going to be great. How hard is it to make a sandwich to order? Any ways, we got the hummus and the veggies that came with it tasted as though they may have been frozen. We got the Chicken curry and it was almost entirely mushrooms and did not have good flavor. We also got the half chicken...this was also a disappointment. The seasoning was not good and it was served with what tasted to be cheap heinz BBQ sauce. Would not recommend for the food. There is so much amazing food in Leavenworth and this place does not stand up to the rest. read more

Nice way to take a break with a good brew and food to match. Nothing fancy, just tasty.

Janet and I had the bacon wrapped dates and brisket sliders!! Amazing caramelization on the dates and bacon!! The brisket sliders had a vinegar type slaw that complemented the sweet meat very well! A MUST try when you are here in Leavenworth!! The staff is friendly and so courteous! Nice job guys!! read more
