Right when we pulled into the small town of Leavenworth we walked downtown to get some food from our resort and stumbled upon this place, I saw scotch eggs on the menu and the restaurant that I currently work at back home also serves scotch eggs. With that being said I had to give it a shot so I could compare. We ordered a sausage, fish and chips, and of course the scotch egg that I was anticipating. The place is fairly large inside and had lots of people in it at the time we visited, even with the amount of people in the establishment we obtained our food really quick and everything was absolutely delicious!!!! The sausage I ordered had so much flavor in it I couldn't believe how good it was it was great size too. The scotch egg was completely different from the style that I'm used to from my work but I absolutely loved and appreciated every bite, the sauce served with it is kind of sweet and it paired fantastically well with the flavors and texture of the scotch egg itself. The beer I ordered was also top notch. I will be back if I'm ever in the area again. Thank you so much guys! read more

I had a good experience here, the bartender was friendly and helpful. The dish sounded so good (Sasquatch bowl with yams) and turned out to be my exact Qdoba order but for $13! That's not a deal breaker, I expect to pay more at a place like this, but next time I want to try somewhere else :) read more

We had a great meal and some drinks with kids in tow. It was very busy but seating was easy a d self serve (just invite yourself to a table that is light). The charcuterie was excellent. The beer selection was also very good. The best was a solid choice as well. A great meal that was high quality and fast in a tourist tow that can be a stressful place to eat at some establishments; Stein delivered organization to the chaos. read more

Ordered a salad to-go. The southwest w/ chicken. Yummy and quick! Didn't have time for a beer, but it looked like they had an excellent selection. Hope to return and try the beer and a Cuban sandwich next time. read more

Over 49 beers on tap and great fries! We bought the IPA and Dark beer flights. We also got chicken strips with buffalo sauce. Loved it here! read more

We stopped into Stein on a whim and were so glad we did. We were greeted by a really kind, personable host and ordered the lamb gyro and poutine. The front booth was available and has really good views of the street. The food was great and we are very pleased with our experience! read more

The fish and chips was really good! The batter had a nice crispy and flavorful crunch and it did not overpower the soft fish, I really liked it! The rosemary fires were also really good and had lot of flavor. The employee that took my order was friendly and courteous. I really like the decor and atmosphere inside plenty of seating and lot of beer choices, when i come back i will try something else here, its worth trying out! read more

If you're looking for a restaurant that has an extensive beer list with really delicious food, Stein is the place to go. They let you sample beer you are curious about and recommend beer if you are having trouble deciding. You really can't go wrong. The tacos, brisket sliders and salads are fantastic. Nice atmosphere, too! read more

The food was mostly good, but I believe it suffered a bit from being takeout. Definitely good portions. My husband and I could have easily split a sandwich. I would love to return here when we can sit down and have the food served hot and fresh. read more

New place, huge inside, variety of seating(stand up bar, sit down tables, booths). No free samples. You pay $1.75 for the sample sizes. Lots to choose from...local and worldwide offerings. pints and larger sizes available. Growler bottles were super cool looking. Food was minimal...roasted chicken being cooked right there. Every drink we tried was good. Kids were allowed in there. The front area has a small beer to go section of bottles/tshirts. We had just eaten elsewhere, so only had a few drink samples. Personally, I wouldn't come to Leavenworth for chicken. I come for brats. But I think this place could be awesome. if they added brats. read more

Good variety of beers but limited menu. Decent food but nothing to brag about. Staff was nice. 3/5 stars

I came here with my family and we would come back. We ordered the rotisserie chicken, pulled pork sandwich, and pulled pork tacos. Everything was amazing. The sea salt rosemary fries were a favorite for my kids. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We were able to get a table inside but the seating is limited due to COVID-19. There were tables outside as well. read more

I went to Leavenworth with my spouse, 2 friends and 6 year old daughter. Both days we found our way into The Stein. With over 40 beers and ciders on tap, plenty of tables, quick and good food service, and friendly staff, we had no reason not to go back the next day. This has become one of my favorite places in Leavenworth to drink and eat! read more

While the beer was great, the food and service was abysmal. We ordered brats with buns and fries and a pretzel. Everything was cold and flavorless. The buns were so soggy they dissolved. The pretzel tasted freezer burned. The food runner was the only friendly employee. The counter staff was incredibly condescending. read more

This joint was off the hook! The live music was some of the best I've heard and the service was amazing! Next time you're in Leavenworth make sure to stop here...you won't regret it! read more

Place is awesome! Friendly staff and a beer selection that takes three 55 inch tv's to display!

The Good - there are a lot of beers to choose from and the selection is posted for all to read. The Bad - people stand and sample beers trying to decide which to order meaning it could be a while before you get to the head of the line. The Good - the brisket sliders were moist, hot and juicy. The Bad - the chicken strips were like ski mountain food, cooked in the morning in a large batch and served all day. read more

From the Yelp reviews and menu we were excited about Stein, but were very underwhelmed by the food. The poutine was mostly just gravy, used to it having a decent amount of cheese, so it just wasn't great. The same gravy was on the schnitzel burger my boyfriend had which was pretty bland (I had a bite too). I ordered the Big Chief sandwich was also just okay, but not good enough to make me want to finish it even though I was hungry. Drinks and atmosphere was great, just food was disappointing. read more

They had at least 55 beers and ciders on tap so it was hard to choose. Great atmospheres, friendly staff. We were at a "drink table" (no food) which was ok cause we were there for a couple of drinks but wish they had stools to sit on especially after walking around town for a couple hours, it would have been nice to sit and rest instead of standing the whole time. read more

If looking for good food and great atmosphere DON'T go here. Honestly the atmosphere was fine but the food was over priced, didn't taste good and be prepared to pick up your own food and clear your own dishes. Staff was mice but there was pretty much no service! read more

Very busy for a reason! Great food but if you're looking for a healthier option this might not be the right fit. Super fun atmosphere with games and live music! read more

I'm glad they are open. The place is actually busy considering the COVID crisis. But I was not impressed with the food. We ordered hotdog, Lamb gyro, tuna salad, fish and chips, and prime rib sandwich. The fish & chips was great. But we couldn't eat the rest. Taste was horrible and the only enjoyable food was the French fries. I would recommend any other place than here. If you are really desperate for food, I still wouldn't recommend Stein. read more

Visited on a Friday mid day not too busy, plenty of taps to choose from but the chicken bacon ranch sandwich was pretty lackluster, a whole lot of bread and not a lot anything else. read more

If I could give this restaurant negative stars, I would. 2 weeks ago, I left my sunglasses at the restaurant at 10 PM and I was the last one to leave the restaurant. The day after, I was there and asked for it, they said, they will check and wrote down my name and number. I asked them to check their security cameras in case. They said they will check and surely call back. 2 days passed and I got no call. I call again and again (5 times) and to my surprise same story, no call. They just do not bother to do anything. I should have called the cops from the beginning but was too nice. I had the worst experience dealing with a restaurant. read more

We rolled into town late and stumbled across Stein. We were in awe of their on tap selection. The staff was so friendly and service was quick. We ordered the brisket sliders and rosemary fries. We got three sliders, each with a generous portion of brisket on brioche buns with slaw. The fries were delicious and we left feeling more than content. We will make it a point to go back every time we come to/ drive through town. read more

Would highly recommend reconsidering your bouncer / front of house staff as the response to playing a certain ncaa game was "no - you're holding up the line." I'm still shocked after 15 min that that was the response. I've never felt so disrespected at a sports bar. read more

Order first then it's prepared They have a full beer bar with multiple taps- a concierge helps you decide providing samples The pork and cheese on focaccia was rich and decadent very filling If you have a sensitive stomach or aren't used to eating foods rich in flavor plan your meal accordingly So you don't feel over stuffed read more

This place is brand new. Ran by a guy who does well elsewhere in town. So it will probably be a good place to visit. Unknown happy hours yet. Has minimal food menu, but looks tasty. Great decor and finish work. Be careful though as there are no free samples of the potentially 55 different beers on tap. To taste a beer will cost you $1.75. Unacceptable if you don't want a full .5L of beer you hate. there are 5 different wines on tap. Looks like live music is available in the future. read more

Found this place on our recent trip to Levenworth. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The selection of beers were amazing from all over the Pacific Northwest. Menu was simple yet with plenty of choices. Highly recommend! My only suggestion would be to have a separate counter or station to sample beers. When a person is up there wanting to sample 10 different beers it holds the line up. Not a deal breaker, still 5 stars! read more

food was decent on the verge of good but the staff was cold and unwelcoming.... sad

Stopped in to watch the women's world cup game. They were nice enough to put the game on the TV for us. I appreciate that they have many options for people like me with dietary restrictions. They have a gluten free beer on tap (Ghostfish pale ale) which I was really excited about. Also have about 6 ciders on tap. They have gluten free/vegan food options. I ordered the Chiang Mai bowl. It was ok. The curry sauce lacked flavor. It's a healthy dish with lots of vegetables though. read more

This might feel a bit weird when you walk in. You order at the bar. They have like 50 beers on tap. So there is a lot of pressure to figure out what you want. The food was pub like yet hardy. I had the brisket sliders and the soup, my husband had a sandwich, our friends had the tacos and the brisket dinner. It was all very good and the service speedy. I'd give this spot another go to see more choices or stop in for a beer. Service was friendly and good. read more

Every time we are in town, we come for beers and watch sports. This past weekend we went in for beers and to watch the final four. However, instead they have eliminated cable and upgraded to the scenic channel, same with upstairs. We enjoy coming here, as they have a great beer selection, but you need to bring back sports! Colchucks as well!! read more

Get the ribs over the brisket. Brisket was extremely lean. Loved the ribs. Great beer selection, like the pub vibe.

I'm sad to be giving them one star because the wait staff was GREAT. Unfortunately, a blonde hostess yelled at my friend for saying a swear word while seated in the bar area upstairs. She stormed over to our table and rudely snapped that she needed to watch her mouth as there were kids around. I've never experienced so much uncalled-for hostility. First off, we're in a bar, so there's no one under 21 around (so the "there's kids around" comment seemed odd). Second, the next table over was much louder and swearing nonstop and she didn't say anything to them probably because it was a table full of men. The situation was completely mishandled and our dinner was ruined because of it, so I doubt we'll return. I also encourage others to avoid this place and support another bar that doesn't disrespect its customers. read more
