My family and I had a good time at Stein. The counter staff was very friendly and they had a good draft beer selection. The menu choices were not overly creative but servings where hardly and the food was fresh. I would recommend it as a good place to catch a game and enjoy some brews. read more

Stein - Bacon wrapped brat with krout and a stein of regional IPA! Yum! - Beer Bar Near Me - Leavenworth, Washington

This place is really cool if you like a lot of beer on tap. I had never heard of this place until this past summer, and really wish I knew about beforehand. The place is great for large groups, and if you love trying lots of different beers. I did not try any of the food, but what I saw it looked and smelled really good. One downfall, this place gets busy throughout the year the only way to order a beer is to stand in a line and wait at a counter. I felt rushed, and luckily I made the right decision. I cannot wait to get back and try more beer in the near future. read more

For beer, this place is great! Stein has a variety of beers on tap, that also includes beer from different countries. Also, you can buy beer to-go from their fridge section in the front. I didn't try their food here when I went, since I wasn't hungry at the time. Their food menu looked very good and I saw other people with food that looked pretty amazing. Overall, I thought Stein was a fun atmosphere because they played good music, had TVs with sports, and great beer. I definitely plan on coming back to try out their food! read more

I've been wanting to check out this quaint Bavarian town in Washington so had to stop in for a snack on our drive. And the Stein didn't disappoint . Delicious food & drink. I had the huckleberry cider and my mom had the lavender cider which we washed down some bacon wrapped Gouda stuffed figs and a bacon wrapped brat with. Nom nom. I'm happy now & ready for some more driving. read more

The atmosphere was good and very fast service on a busy night, but really didn't enjoy the food. Ordered a schnitzel burger, which was just ok, and kale Caesar salad that was so salty I could barely eat it, even after asking for a bunch of extra kale to add to it (which they gladly provided). Overall, sub-par pub food. read more

Tasty food, that was a bit saltier than I anticipated, but honestly everything we tried was delicious! I think the ribs are probably the most popular item! read more

OMG...,the Schnitzel Burger is fricken AWESOME! Even during the limited seating in this pandemic the staff was accommodating and we sat down at the right time. My wife had the fish $ chips which was equally as good! Highly recommend #stein! read more

Awesome awesome awesome! A beer, cider or wine for any pallet! Super friendly staff. Fun environment to take a break from walking around. Definitely a place to add on your stop while in town! Haven't tried the chicken but it looks amazing. Got the pretzel with beechers cheese and it was soooo good! Will definitely be back! Came back and had the chicken and fries which were super flavorful and tasty. Service still amazing. read more

I've been to a lot of the establishments in Leavenworth and the surrounding area, however on my first visit to Stein ( with a HUGE beer menu) I ordered a beer and it was tapped out, I picked my second choice and something along the lines of "you should take the beer of the menu if it's out, it's already hard enough to pick as it is :) in a very nice way to the nice bartender. The manager working half way across the bar yelled at me - if you are to drunk to understand the menu, I'll just cut you off-. I called to complain a few days later and found out he was the manager who is in charge of putting the beers on the electric display.... A different manager there requested my name and number ( and I gave them) and I assumed they would call me back sometime, but nope. Lame service in the service industry is a complete fail. I only wish I could give zero stars. read more

Good food and very friend staff! Huge beer list which I loved. If you're into craft beer this place is definitely worth a visit. Cheers!

I'm giving it 5 stars because of specific person, LISA. She was the best. The food was delicious as well but she made our experience so much better. It was a big group of us. Lisa was attentive, provided great service, and made sure we were ok periodically. She was moving faster than all the younger employees there. Good food+great service = satisfied customers. Thank you Lisa! read more

Swung by Stein countless times during Oktoberfest this past weekend and I can't say enough great things about it! The bouncers have been friendly every single time we all went, the bartenders were super nice in explaining everything, and the food was BOMB. I also am really excited about the fact that it's a deli style setup. You pay at the bar, get a buzzer, and the food is ready in about 5 minutes. It's eating hall style seating so you might end up meeting some cool people if you share with them. They have 55 (or more) taps to choose from which is awesome. The food is really reasonably priced. Get the pretzel for sure and if you're in the mood, try the 1/2 chicken and fries. It was not a letdown at all. If you're looking for simple food, friendly service, and a reasonable price, check this place out. If I ever come back to Leavenworth, we'll for sure go! read more

Beer is Meh. Servers are arrogant. We sat in the booth in the front of the pub and flies where everywhere. I have nothing more to add. read more

Pro: Coming in, the atmosphere is cozy and encourages patrons to sit together and TALK instead of at staring at their phones. They have tons of options on tap. Live music which was pleasant. Con: Took some stars away because service was incredibly subpar. First of all, no printed drink menus. NONE We were told to "look it Up online" or "stand there and read the board". Mind you they have like 50 options on the board so to stand there and choose is ridiculous. No waitress/waiter ever approached us to ask if we needed anything. And in the event that this type of service is the norm, it's a tourist bar so why not explain that when we come in? The bartender was rude and impatient. Considering you have a lot to choose from, you'd think he'd explain the board, offer recommendations and be polite about it. Many other restaurants in the area. I'd try one of those. read more

Very confusing seating/ordering if you want to sit outside and you have to go back inside to pick up food. 51 taps but very little German beer. They put your beer in plastic cups with a lid if you sit outside...yuk! Pretzel was overcooked with barely warm cheese sauce that was obviously sitting in a plastic ramekin. Lots of outdoor, covered seating was a plus. read more

Absolutely GREAT beer selection but terrible food. We ordered fish and chips which came up two minutes after we ordered. Clearly not fresh. The fries were cold and chewy, the fish was dripping with oil. They did issue us a refund, but beware, this place is making batch quantities of food ahead of time and reheating it. read more

Went on a Thursday night and they had really great live music - such an awesome performer! Great beer selection, but unfortunately they don't seem to clean their beer lines. Bartender was nice and let us try a few beers, which is how we could tell that quite a few tasted very off (that groß diacetyl taste). They have a fun small games section in the corner. read more

Yes, to large beers and funnel fries. No to mixed drinks and other foods. Good service

Stein - Beer Bar Near Me - Leavenworth, Washington

Great job! We ordered food to be picked up last night. The sandwiches were delicious and large serving sizes. We also ordered the 1/2 of chicken with fries and salad. The chicken was really juicy and tender! I am glad we chose Stein. The next time we are in town we will choose it again! read more

Awesomeness...what an amazing selection of draft everything! A wide variety of food options that will meet any appetite and diet. The decor is really cool and social. I love the little store set up on the side. Was able to try a cider from draft and buy a bottle on the way out. We will be going back. read more

It's the best choice I made. I ordered rotisserie chicken and chicken bowl Yucatán and chicken tenders. Everything was so fresh and they gave big plate of side fries. The ambience is very lively and I would recommend here at Leavenworth to get food fast. read more

I freaking love this place! Great food, great service, awesome live music, and last but far from least, an AMAZING selection of beers on tap for Leavenworth. It's even comparable to a good tap house in Seattle. Another great feature is that they are all ages all evening. Awesome if you have kids. read more

I am giving the stein a slightly lower number, but to be fair if I was only grading on the beer and the helpfulness in that regards, I would have given them top marks. I had the schnitzel burger and it was pretty good, but I think it could have used a little more garnish, maybe sliced mushrooms? I tried the wife's fish and chips and was a little bit surprised the fish wasn't top of the line. Maybe it was cod? A bit mealy for my liking. If you like beer, there are over 50 taps to choose from. I had an IPA which went well with the schnitzel. They do sell growlers there, so you can take home what you liked on the tasting. Like your beer, head here. If only food quality matters to you, head upstairs and try the burger of the month. read more

We had the pretzel, chicken, and brat. They were all delicious. The chicken was especially yummy, it was so tender and falling off the bone. The root beer was also good. read more

Had an impromptu kale Caesar salad one night as everything else in town was closing, it was nice, staff was friendly - they even used smoked chicken. Not bad! read more

Oooh ooh ooh! Mandarin rotisserie chicken salad with pears and walnuts and the rotisserie chicken sandwich with fries was the perfect split for 2. We both agreed that the fries were the best ever and the sandwich had the perfect flavor to it (roasted red pepper and a mild white cheese rounded it off)! My husband had two beers and raves about their beer drafts! We will be back. Stein will become a Leavenworth favorite for sure! read more

This place is awesome. Cool local vibe! Live music and friendly staff. The smell of the kitchen is so good and we wished we were hungry. A ton of beers on tap and the bartenders are knowledgeable about what's on tap and are happy to give samples. If I lived here this would be a staple in my life! However, since I don't it will be a regular stop when I am here. Keep it up guys! You've got a great thing going!!! read more

We waited a long time to be seated...which during the pandemic on a Saturday, wasn't a surprise. What was, is that the food was not worth waiting for. It came out very quickly but had all sorts of issues. Fries were cold, fish in chips had no dipping sauce even though "homemade" tarter sauce was advertised. The BBQ raspberry pulled chicken sandwhiches sounds amazing however, they were very over peppered. It was sad from start to finish. The staff seating us was very friendly but the one taking our order at the counter acted as if we were a pain to talk to. Sadly we will not be back! read more

We were seated and then completely forgotten about. The server working the section we were in wouldn't make eye contact with us and would serve every other table. The host brought us water and apologized for the wait and said the server would be with us soon. After multiple attempts of getting our servers attention, trying to order at the bar and being told to wait for our server, the other tables in our section having their food and drinks served multiple times and 20 minutes of waiting, my party of four chose to leave. On our way out the host asked us if we were leaving already, we told him that our server hadn't come to our table in over 20 minutes and he replied "oh, well, we do get busy sometimes. Sorry about that." Disappointing experience all around. read more

Pretzels here aren't good. I came here in the search for the most authentic Bavarian pretzel and was sadly disappointed. The restaurant itself looks awesome, the pretzel looks dark as well, but in the end it looks like they just brushed on something for color to make it look like authentic. The pretzel tasted like tasteless bread with salt on it. So far, the best ones we have found have been in Munchen Haus, but nothing we've found has actually been truly authentic. read more

Compared to the other Bavarian beer hauses around town, this place offers a large collection of beer with a few imports. Unfortunately, the food arm of this establishment is subpar. Friends and I split the chicken tenders, which were okay. But we also split the curry and kale healthy bowls offered. The rice was thoroughly undercooked and dominated most of the meal. However, this spot is relatively inexpensive, even though Yelp has this at 2 $$. read more

my wife and I each got the rib plate, 1/2 rack of ribs and side of fries for only $15 !!! what a deal !!! the ribs are a rub style in a rotisserie and you can watch them being made each afternoon! we were very impressed with the meal ! even the fries were great read more

Stein - Live band - Beer Bar Near Me - Leavenworth, Washington

Yikes this was unfortunately not a great experience food-wise. The food was really awful -- the french fries were soooo salty (borderline not edible); the poutine was "meh" -- the gravy tasted like it was made from a pouch with canned mushrooms added to it, the cheese curds were meh; the gyro tasted really bizarre; the prime rib sandwich was two huge pieces of thick bread with a teeny tiny piece of roast beef it looked like with a weird spinach-artichoke dip slathered on thick; but the worst was the tuna salad .... didn't look fresh and tasted awful. Saving grace was the super friendly staff at the bar and the drinks. read more

Love the poutine. Not had a bad item and the beer and cider selection is outstanding.

Stopped in for a drink with my husband on a Saturday night. They had live music which was pretty cool and a large selection of beer! One thing I think would be a great improvement would be to have the tap list displayed another place around the bar so that you aren't having to stand right up at the register when looking over the selection. I felt a little rushed to get out of people way and ordered quicker than I would have vs if I had a chance to look over the entire list. The service was super friendly and fast. I would come again next time i'm in town. read more

Great food and service. Drinks are great and the food was delish!! At upstairs and the bistro! Had a little balcony that was so fun to eat on and see the view! Had the bake cheese app and the purple rain drink! Plus the currywurst! So good. Will defiantly be back. read more
